This’ll adversely affect the world, and will do nothing to reduce the nearly $2 trillion deficit. tRump’s tax cuts for the wealthy, and fElon Musk’s austerity measures will, and already are raising unemployment, and will further increase the divide between the wealthiest and most marginalized among us.\nThe U.S. siding with Russia, the two countries having the biggest nuclear stockpiles, is a threat to the world.\nIf WW3 starts, it won’t be because Zelenskyy won’t act to end a war in which his country was unnecessarily invaded, it’ll be because of Russia’s invasion of it, and the U.S. turning its back on its now former allies.\nThose of us in the states who oppose tRump and his alliance with Putin need to continue to stand up, speak out, and perhaps even do more. We’ve never seen anything like this before. Hate to say it, but this could very well be the beginning of the end of what was once a great nation. Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I think these words mean nothing, one shoudl look at actual data. There have been a tremendous imbalance between the US and most of the world. US produces so much, have so many resourcers but could not compete. Instead, they were forced to open operations in foreign countries, which does not benefit US taxpayers. @robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

It is evident that comments like the one from @robertedward7023 demonstrate many, many people do not know what took place at the meeting before this meeting which should have made this meeting a simple signing of the agreement. VP Vance corrected Zelensky for his attempt to propagate his agenda and now that Germany, France and others--as NATO countries--have jumped in, there could be consequences resulting in war if they continue to push for it. As far as Trudeau, he is on his way out according to his own resignation and he has just done Canada wrong with the faulty reasoning.
