I’m from the US born and raised in chicago, converted while living in Chicago and the Bridgeview community is so amazing Mashallah. I moved to CA when I got married, and the Muslims are dispersed and don’t practice openly. I really don’t love any community I’ve been involved in the past 6 years in CA. In February 2023 we moved to Amman, (my husband was born and raised in Jordan all his family is here) it’s been good but we couldn’t find a source of income so we have to move back to the US. But we’re moving to Chicago now. And if we can afford it, will send our kids to Amman in the summer.

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. People don't understand exactly what's going on there they don't know if they're not really up on current events and don't have any people in their family who are from a Muslim country they don't really know what's been going on. If his opinion was the one to go by, Malaysia is to be ranked as the best country in the world. It has everything you would want according to your list of why you're leaving Canada: warm weather; affordable; Muslim nation; doesn't support israehell. I live in Michigan. I hate it here for the exact same reasons you outlined. I have literally never traveled outside of Michigan EVER due mostly to fear and anxiety of traveling. My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

I'm going to say my opinion as an immigrant, I lived in France (for a while) and one of the reasons I saw people leave this country was family, I'm originally from Colombia and here life with family is extremely important, so when you go to build a new life where you have nothing, you have to build from 0, and of course you're on your own, It's not as simple as you might think, most people I know in France can't do that, they just can't leave their country, they love their country, unfortunately for people like me, immigration is the only option we have, i like my country but i don't had option i had to leave, so I think that's a very good point to consider, people fall alone, immigration is not for everyone. \n \nThank you for your video.

This is sadly true, I came to Canada ??a 1,5 years ago leaving my con try where I had a nice job, good pay both me and my wife and were able to travel twice a year. Here in Canada more than 50% of my salary is eaten by rent, my wife is struggling to find a job and it’s impossible for us to save, worst than that sometimes we use our savings to close the months. Now everybody who is asking me for advice on how to come or preparing to come after getting their PR, I tell them stay where you’re at least you have a good situation in your home, you’re familiar with your country problems so there is no benefits coming here and living a shitty life.

I don't think Canadian Government have many options for this matter. People now can see one or two side effects of a sequence of immigration policies, but overlook the other side of the same coin that newcomers fill a gap in the labor market and tax revenue. After pandemic, I suppose many restaurant and hotel owners would be happy to see more legal migrants coming to Canada. For public schools, they may also be happy to see that. And I don't see a good reason for a country of immigrants to start a backlash against migrants. Believe it or not, there're still a large group of people and businesses benefitting from those policies. The second largest country around the globe only has a population of about 40 million, even less than that of UK. It sounds like a joke when people just complain about housing crisis due to higher immigration but not complain about lots of vacant and unutilized spaces.

Can confirm, we Canadians like to form small social circles and otherwise keep to ourselves. We're also much more cautious about offending people and therefore ask very non specific, open ended, questions about people.\nTip: if you want Canadian friends you need to be fairly proactive, ask them out to trivia night at a local pub. You have tried to explain very well the initial struggle faced by new immigrants. This does take years and sometimes decades to settle down properly in a new country for first generation. First generation Indians try to save as much as they can while cutting corners. Things have relatively become much easier as there are plenty of jobs for those who have professional degrees and substantial experience. I personally found Canadian bachelor of engineering was far superior than masters of computer science in USA. I enjoyed spending four years in downtown Toronto while full time studying in late 80’s before moving back to USA. Someone else mentioned here in previous thread that all of their friends are much better off in India. I feel more or less the same way in spite of having three engineering degrees and 40 years experience. I am strong believer in Karmas, your destiny will take you where you’re supposed to be. With all due respect, comparing US and Canada to European in general doesn't make sense(please excuse my words). Compare them to European countries like Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg. And talking about countries with more billionaires, you can only do that on per capita basis looking at the American population as compared to these countries, and with that the statistics has proved that Scandinavia has more billionaires than US and Canada on per capita basis. Countries like Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France Holland and all those other countries limit you because you're not allowed to work more than one full time job at a time, but in a country like Denmark, the wages are higher and you can work as many hours as your strength can and on top of that you get free healthcare, free education, and a lot more social benefits. So these countries come no where close to a country like Denmark. The language barrier is very valid, but putting in efforts to learn languages of countries like Denmark, Norway. Switzerland is worthy than getting a degree in country like America where inflation is out the roof and debt to gdp ratio is over 90%, having to borrow 3 to 4 billion every month in 2023 to stay afloat.. You need to read more on current state of the US.. It's been predicted that in mid 2024 to the end of 2024 5000 people could lose their job every month due to companies shutting down. This is never a good time to relocate to the States! lol

The USA is good if you’re willing to overwork to make money… you will basically work work work and that’s not a good life. I recommend USA if you are young and want to flex in the future. I work every day in America and I’m not missing anything but I feel like a slave honestly. Canada is good for foreigners that are trying to get PR and a Citizenship from a western country quick because Canada needs a lot of immigrants due to its size. Canada is not good to live because it’s just so damn cold and housing costs too much. Europe is good if you’re trying to be lazy because the government likes to give money and health insurance is free but it’s hard getting PR and Citizenship. In Europe the income is very low on average compared to the US but the reason is cause there’s just so much overtime available in the USA and things are more 24/7. Europe is better to start a family and safety security…. But you will be giving up working super hard in the USA to make good amount of money…. Pick your poison. I recommend going to Canada to acquiere a Citizenship quick then go to USA and work like a slave with a lot of overtime for 10-15 years and before your 40-55 years old you move to Europe…

If I can afford a home, why would I want to leave? The housing crisis is a big deal for many. You can't find suitable rental in the GTA when you make well over 120k cad a year. It's not just the barriers in professions. It's the lies about prosperity and growth fed to the immigrants. You just need to work hard, and you'll live your dream is a lie. Immigrants end up eating from their savings instead of saving. Fix the housing crisis, invest in public education and health, and no will will want to leave this beautiful country. The more you earn, the more you are taxed and if you are a single earner in your family, you're punished for it. I don't want to go out and work and leave my kids in daycare when my husbad is doing a good job. I don't want my kids being raised by strangers while me and my husband struggle to maintain a decent lifestyle. When 120k isn't enough for a family of 5, it's time to leave.

Look as a product of an immigrant father myself, we simply can't afford to take care of the Canadians we have, never mind all these people who come to Canada with no jobs, no housing, no money, possibly no ability to speak English or French. Like it or not, our taxes are going up and our services are going down. The government is focused on GDP numbers as opposed to GDP per capita, which essentially means while our production numbers are artificially enhanced the quality of life per person is rapidly declining. We're talking about flooding Ontario with 500,000 new immigrants, God knows how many Indian paypigs... I mean students for colleges and universities, as our government is giving tax breaks to Atlantic Canadians and torturing everyone else for going greener with natural gas. We're living in a country where it is very possible to hold down multiple jobs and still be homeless in 2024 and we're talking about more immigrants? We can't afford the people we have now and we're talking about bringing in more? Who's building the homes for these people? The last couple million of immigrants who were supposed to build homes didn't build anything so now we're bring in more to build homes for the last couple million who were supposed to build homes plus Canadians who has been here for more than a July on a sidewalk.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here.
