The creation of a new CBSA branch dedicated to physical border surveillance has become necessary given the unique challenges posed by the world's longest undefended international border. While the RCMP struggles to maintain this surveillance alongside its many other responsibilities, a specialized unit could focus exclusively on this mission, with appropriate expertise and equipment. This new branch would also allow for better coordination with U.S. Border Patrol to counter the increase in irregular crossings and illegal trafficking, while complementing CBSA's current work at official ports of entry.

Deport millions of illegal immigrants is a goal. However, many of them are working in farms or constructions. Without them, we may face a big shortage of labors. And, those industries may suffer because most of the Americans don't want to do this kind of works.

how will they identify the illegals? what happens to the businesses who lose employees? employment rates are high in the US. we have high employment in australia with many businesses who cannot find people to work in their businesses how will they identify the violent criminals? will they increase the police forces/army? will the costs of doing this outweigh the benefits? what are the benefits of getting rid of these people beyond some 'trumped up' idea they are somehow a threat??

Do those ignorant politicians understand there are MANY jods that Americans won't work because they are hard and dangerous with low pay. Many come into the US just for those jobs. Usually they will only stay a few years, until the saved enough, than go back to the homes. Already there are sooo many important and needed jobs that are short handed because of the racists politicians.

There could be a solution to make them permanent citizens, but to just deport them will have massive consequences that will impact everywhere, Trump voters too. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't too many people who will work replacing roofs and other dangerous jobs for ten dollars an hour. But apparently the republicans have good supply of people standing by.

Democrats should stay out of the deportation fight (getting rid of criminals is fine), but let MAGA and the business community fight it out. Obama deported many people, but it never significantly harmed the economy. If Trump carries out his plan, we will reach a critical mass where there won't be enough people to pick the crops, work in the meat processing industry, hospitality, construction, etc. Costs will rise significantly, and we will experience shortages.

It’s all a corporate governmental banking and human trafficking scam. Every person the government brings in, the government can borrow from the bank in the form of a bond! Once your visa expires, then you have to leave. And the company that brokered you to get you here requires a fee, plus they get a fee from the government as well. And the company that hires you gets a subsidy from the government. The company won’t tell you that there are limited jobs or housing. They won’t tell you that you can’t use your degree if you have one, when you come here. You have to go threw all the associations and organizations to be qualified to practice your trade.And that costs more money! Back in the 70’s and 80’s people came from many other countries, and within a week or so, you’d have money in your pocket from working a basic job. Now once you get off the plane, you are at least over $40.000 in debt. Your education cost double, housing is limited and expensive along with the hi cost of food and fuel for that expensive used car. Then you find out that you’ve been lied too by the brokers that got you here. And soon as you get your landed status, you get hit with the taxes! And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! The government gives you a birth certificate, but they own your children until you go to a court of law to get a certificate of custody! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! You need to look it up for yourselves and understand that any western country that you goto is ruled by Rome. And if you came from a country that was once a colony of the British empire, you will get here a little easier, it’s a simple transfer because they have your record on file in the city of London. The place that is 1 square mile within London itself! That place that Rome controls! Yes! It’s a big scam and you are the product!

There are not Millions of Immigrants who are also Criminals.... The kind of deportation Trump has been talking about has gone beyond people that are here illegally. Trump has expanded it to include what he calls 'undocumented' migrants. That group includes people waiting for their asylum hearings, DACA recipients and protected status migrants/refugees, and people that have already had their asylum hearings, but are awaiting their citizenship hearings. \nAs for the narrative about 'murderers' and 'violent/horrible' criminals being in our country, it's like....wait...what??? Now, if you KNOW a person is a convicted murderer or horrible criminal, WHY would you allow them into or allow them to stay in this country to begin with? I worked in Criminal Court (NYC Metro area) for many years. We always checked for Immigration Holds on those who were arraigned in our courts. How it plays out is that INS would take a long time to appear where detainee was. Court (local w/ separate budget) wants to process the case quickly just like the local jail want to discharge because it cost money to keep people locked up. If INS is not fast enough to appear the people are released.

Remove all illegals who are criminals! Have heart on the ones who raised families here and do NOTHING but WORK HARD! I came to Germany in 2008 to do my Bachelors and later did my masters and working for 10 years now. Got my citizenship 5 years ago. Lets say i have to travel a lot due to my work.. If i move out of Germany, it would be only because of insane tax . I expected even a colder or harsher condition but since my expectation was soo low, it was all good.. At my work place, the working language is only German. I knew that before so it was not a hard time when i was thinking from time to time regarding the difficulty.. \nOne thing and most important thing, Even after getting your citizenship in Germany you are not automatically a German. You are just a paper german ( Even though i dont hold other passport ). I knew this before and it was not hard for me but for many immigrants who become german citizens, they will still be seen as an Ausländer .. Thats the reality which will take another decade to change.

I also came to Canada in 2006 as an immigrant with my 2 bags and started my new life with empty handed which almost all Indians had started on their time. Yes it’s very hard to adopt other cultures 100% for first generation. But have you think how this new immigrants have their own house and good jobs or business. Why their kids achieved higher education without any loan because their parents worked 7 days without looking around so called culture. They believe in work hard and focus on their family and kids and in extra time visit temple or Gurudwara just to keep live their believes. Do you know how many places where you find 3 times free hot food for everyone in Brampton at Gurudwara and Temple without looking at his originality. \nDon’t think the immigrants are coming here are poor in their country or helpless like refugees. Most of are millionaires in India but in Indian culture the stupid thoughts is to earn for next 7 generations so because of that greediness they work here 7 days and that’s why they are not homeless. As they have some values of their Indian culture they have not drug addictions.\nNot 100% Indian are good and loyal or honest. There are few which you can find in any culture or religion.\nSo in bottom line immigrants are here because of govt policies and invitations. They are not came as refugees. You can’t forced anyone where they have to stay and in how many percentage. Many people don’t live in GTA or ran away from GTA because they can’t afford house and can’t stand in competitive market. during the pandemic many restaurant chains suffered, so later Sikhs Indians, were hired to fill the gap, but now that things are getting back to normal they do not leave and even more come for these entry level jobs, but the problem is if people from India keep taking these jobs, our kids fresh out of high school are looking for their first jobs to break into the work force, which is now becoming difficult as the Sikhs already have already taken them.....

I went to Vancouver and Toronto, and yes see more and more Indians living and working there. I guess Canada need more (cheap labor) migrants. I am sure for Indians, standard of living and opportunities, for many are much better than living in India.

What about the illegal immigration? People come to Canada under visitor visa and they can even work unionized, open bank account, get a credit card, build credit score, financing a car, open a company. Its crazy! How can it happens? \n\nThousands of YouTube channels (in many languages) teaching what to say, how to behave, how to lie to immigration officers at the airport when getting in Canada. Also teaching tourists how to get jobs, open bank account, etc. (how I said above).

The main challenge is getting blue kard or work visa on time. There are many cases employer cancelling job offers because immigration office is not providing blue card or work visa on time and even taking 6 months to 1 year for same.

India has so good college at 1/10 of the price . But the thing 90% of the student go to abroad work and earn money without any bad intentions. Canada open so many fake college to get more international student and change 4-5 time then local ... So it's both student and Canada fault...

You do know, that while Canada already been giving the Skilled Workers the preferential treatment fir decades, many of the Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, etc are unable to get a job of their training, bc they must write expensive, long exams! \n\nIf they had been out of the University for years, this is not easy to do! They need to support their families, study again and save Thousands of $$$ to pay for and write these exams! Canada makes it difficult for them to work in their field! \n\nThey receive many promises from the Canadian Immigration Department, which often does not deliver! A valid example, those with the Master’s Degrees, too often, receive only the Bachelor Degree equivalency in Canada, despite the promise of their degrees and experience in the field to be honoured! It’s an unjust and an unfair system! An Engineer driving a Taxi! Many, many such examples! \n\nThat’s why many highly-educated immigrants are working as taxi drivers, delivering food, or in under -educated jobs, etc! I met a hospital Medical Lab Tech, who was a Doctor in his birth country!! Another immigrant was a Lab Tech working as a Lab Assistant! Still, another immigrant with a Master’s Degree and experience in the Medical Cancer Research working as a Lab Assistant! \n\nThe bills don’t wait until they write the new exams, save the required money and qualify, etc!!

How many part-time jobs do they expect these people to work to pay for rent? Finding a full-time job is almost impossible. Coming to Canada exspecting the country to look after them? The companies take hours away from their employees and create another part-time position, then gets a bonus from the government as part of the new employee wages are paid. Same hours for the company but paying less wages and keeping the profits. Who is does this benefit? Not the workers that then need another part-time job to feed their kids. Filling up schools with people who do not met the education requirements with bogus paperwork. Who are then forced to attend a strip mall schools. Are their diplomas even valid? No proper place to live and using foodbanks. Anyone with this paperwork should be refused at airport not supported. Most are coming from counties that have schools. Because really would you want them managing your money, running the country or are they going to work at Tim Hortons? No wait their fellow countrymen will then use them in scams. Wake up they are making a cast system here.

So many are crizizing having no idea how to to to a sane plan to reach their objective. People with little education or experience in this field have strong opinions based on their biases. I'd like to not cover non citizens with provincial health or social programs until they are citizens and working. I'd like anyone committing crimes and is a non citizen, jailed and then deported. We don't need new criminals or drains on our social programs. I think most new immigrants are good people, but why should we pay for the others.

Why are you distributing 3 year work visas who ever applies for it? There are even so many lawyers specifically working on their applications in Canada.

Enough laborers are here. The employers just want immigrants to exploit. I know highly skilled people who are applying for jobs and don't get hired while immigrants have 2 jobs. The govt has been either duped or working on an agenda. A lot of the managers, are East Indians and only hire their own nationality. Check all the supermarkets, hardware stores, fastvfood places. A master carpenter can't get hired bc he wont accept 25$/hr for a job driving 2 hrs each way. So they hire the immigrant Latinos. Too many Mexicanos since 2017, no visa required....

Many Indian-based IT companies not only employ Indians living in Canada but also hire (offshore) Indians who are living in India. There should be a law in Canada to regulate employment: you cannot have 19 Indians working on a team of 20.

I suspect they have had financial help to own every gas stn, corner store, many restaurants, etc. now our students work for them instead of vice versa. And its not their fault but our govts.who wouldnt take advantage of what is made available to u. Plus the govt paying half their salaries to companies to hire them also doing our children and elders out if part time jobs.

I am an immigrant who came here 20 years ago i believe it worked out well when we had 200-250k immigrant target per year and reduced when theres economic crisis below 100k for only critically short industries. I highly recommend to restrict immigration to avoid housing shortage first because theres nothing worse than Canadians living in tent even if many of them worked and tried.... - as an immigrant i supprt Canadian first direction to honor this great country

I am in Canada, born in India. I agree there are many Indian brown people here. It’s the govt that invited people, accepted them for the jobs they were unable to fulfill . These are highly educated, skilled and hardworking people. 25% all income from education comes from Indian people. Not to mention the high wages and high taxes they pay, inturn making Canada great. \nI also agree, there are some nasty people out there like any other race be it white, black, brown or purple. The bad guys need to be stopped. They are skilled migrants. Why do Canada take them in? Because they lack skilled white people to do their jobs. Also lack of population. Indians don’t do drugs and they work and earn money and contribute to the society. And for the matter of fact they don’t just come from India they are invited to Canada from India by Canadian government policies and by Canadian companies. Medical and IT professionals are given big offers to come and live in Canada. However that may not be the case for students. Students are in large numbers and they want to stay back. Too many students is a problem. Colleges just take in too many of them, because they pay the money. Bring some control over colleges and students intake. There are too many new colleges just for business and that’s not good.
