A senior\nA topic I would like to see any blogger address is the number of Cdns that are not able to work because of drug addiction compared to the number of willing immigrants that will fill those positions. \nI raised my son to have good work ethics and was considered a strict parent but man-o-man am I ever thankful that I did. Nearly every one of my son's HS friends have made nothing of their lives.\nI keep seeing an endless stream of who I assumed to be new to Canadians working their arses off willing to do whatever to make a life for themselves.\nI suppose my question is why aren't' they falling victim to drug addictions? Many of our Canadian born youth are unemployable. Can't even keep gas separate from oil when asked to do the simplest tasks. My last Cdn employee quite simply couldn't be taught to run and maintain a simple lawnmower. Very few even have licences to drive. AKA: Useless

Thanks for your information. Honestly, did everything possible to send my son to Canada despite the huge money i spent, at end i was told of insufficient funds. My boy was doing well before the desire to relocate to Canada to make more money. Today,you have said it all. Thanks God we resolve that the issue of relocation be disregarded

My son, born here is currently looking for a country to immigrate too in Europe, he has his own business, he is a tradesman and works 50 hours a week and can't afford a home for him and his son.

Why is the healthcare system considered great? It's truly appalling. I had to wait 8 hours for my son to see the doctor at a Children's Hospital for a check-up on his diarrhea, and the doctor only needed five minutes to complete the entire examination. I've never encountered such a terrible healthcare system anywhere on this planet.

My oldest son lives in Cambridge and works at the Toyota assembly plant. His starting wage there a few years ago was LOWER than the starting wage when the plant opened in the 80's. Mass immigration is killing wages.

I migrated to Canada more than 30 years ago, and about 20 years plus, I was offerred a very good job in the US, and the company offered to apply the green card for me, and as a single parent with a young child, I do not want to take the rise; moreover I wanted my son to have a French education, that he could get it free in Canada. When looking back, I regretted for not accepting the offer; but on the bright sight, my son had all his Canadian university education on scholarship and currently he has moved and living in the US.

A friend of mine in Wales??????? actually said it best that, in regards to military might and overall mentality, it could be said that the USA?? is the son closest to the father??. Well, TBH after I became a parent myself I realised that children below 5 would do certain things even if parents asked them not to. Manners should be judged only after the age of 10. \nStill, I think parents need to strictly guide their children on how to behave in public. My 2.5 year old son is presently autistic but I never got a complaint about him. \nHowever, confronting a child is not good either. They should have talked to the parents or the crew if the child was causing them trouble.

I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

They need to come in legally. We live in texas and my kids have been cut off of Medicaid because all of these migrants. My son has rheumatoid arthritis and cant get his medicine. I will consider myself as a successful immigrant, my son born in Canada is at leading engineering university. My wife fulfilled with her career.
