As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. The pain in the hunger, the fact the money from your country is so little valued that even video game money has way more worth.\n\nIt's a very scary place which we are trying to genuinely scape from.\n\nHopefully for my brothers and sisters from the states try to understand, hopefully these people at some point will need to understand that doing things out of fear will not get them far. Again a very very scary situation.

You know though it's really not an immigration problem it's a political and economic problem. People wouldn't migrate like that if both places were the same....... fight immigration or go fight the corruption in their system? Mexican statehood little by little?

I'm all for migration, but legally. My heart goes out for people wanting to seek out a better life, but the homelessness in the US is unimaginable as it is. Mexico must do better by its people. This is really sad.

Want to stop migration US? stop putting sanctions to these countries, sanctions don’t work because it doesn’t affect their leaders, it affects poor people from those countries. You are contributing to the poverty and the migration of these people. Stop making other countries poor, USA!!

I definitely have a case of the post migration blues. I'm a year in and thinking of giving up. It's weird, such a prosperous country but with so many broken people.

I mean when it comes to it. I dont mind the illegal migration. I don't really care anymore. The world is big enough for everyone, and the U.S. is a lot bigger than people seem to think. So by all means who cares if they are entering...

The sad fact is that this is the tip of the iceberg. Climate change, failed governments, economic collapse, and the desire to escape local violence are only a few of the reasons ecouraging people to migrate to the US. Tens of millions are leaving China and many intend to settle in the US as well. If the US can't find a way to stop the flow, it will become unrecognizeable.

We literally cause this migration with our sanctions against their democratically elected government. Our actions have real consequences. You see those those consequences at our border - hungry and desperate people seeking basic humanity.

USA should stop causing poverty and corruption in other countries and people from there will have no need to migrate to USA.

Im from south east asia and am planning to migrate but i cant decide to move to canada or australia. My friends keep discouraging me because of racism and that i will have difficult to find a job because im small (4 11). How bad is racism for people of color in canada?

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

All my family members migrating here all keep saying the same thing. That Biden had offered them homes and money every month. They truly beleive is why they are able to. I asked them what about all the others who were waiting to get citizenship seeing all these other people go 1st. As usual no response.

Okay let me get to the point I understand immigrants that migrate from other places that are suffering and so on the only thing I am against once we have immigrants in this country like us and even Canada we as US citizens and in some cases the Canadian citizens we be left in the back burner while the people that are not from here they tend to get first priority which is not they get more of the services then us citizens especially when it comes to food stamps health insurance housing jobs and so on. I understand they're human like everybody else but don't cast us to the side just to cater to them.

It is crazy to me. YouTubers on this platform have enough sense. \n\nAfter a few documentaries on colonialism, the erasure of indigenous , American corporate interference and the history of white supremacy on the land. You would be able to somewhat gather why people are coming to “America”. \n\nWhy is it that Ukraine ?? got amnesty FOR BUYING NUCLEAR WEAPONS, attempted migration THROUGH MEXICO ASWELL. Yet, no one was complaining about them. Indigenous people come over and they are criminalized and vilified with this surge of sheer surprise. \n\nVery spectacular.

I love seeing how easy it is to illegally migrate to Canada when housing prices are already off the charts, and overpopulation and microsocieties are taking over our cities and towns, with insanely slow building development to compensate. Gotta love Canadian hospitality, especially when it screws over the people already living here.

In order for them to seek asylum, they must schedule in advance through an app, which I find it weird. The app however is very glitchy, so a lot of problems here. Some of these people have traveled far away believing this rumor. Reason why people are trying to cross so they can escape poverty and violence in their home country. Sad really.

As a Venezuelan that migrated here through all the legal process 9 years ago. We completely DISAGREE with people doing this. There is a legal process for everybody period. Respect your local country's laws if you want to be treated with respect.

Didn't Venezuela already sue Obama for the US immigration policy back in 2014? They did because these mass migrations crash the South American economy's because there's no one working. If only these people fought as hard in their country...

I myself went to Canada legally through Person International Airport holding Canadian visa but it took several years for the Immigration Canada to look at my application while people my other country mates were entering Canada illegally, but their case approved and were granted status. I was very disappointed the reason at that time the Canadian Immigration minister was a Somalian and migrant who was against migration.

Why Ate People Are Migrating To Canada ?? Australia ?? European Union ?? The UK ?? And New Zealand ?? Instead Of The USA ?? Is It Because More Developed Than The USA ??
