I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Employees in Walmart, Costco, Tim Hortons (especially!), etc., are seen standing around, chatting with each other in their Indian languages instead of being professionally attentive to customers. The shopping experience is not pleasant like it was 25 years ago!! Your remarks are not harsh and Indians NEED to take it personally and be embarrassed into doing the necessary to make the changes they need to. We immigrated to Canada not to come to 'another India' - we came to Canada and would like to live in this country to appreciate it's uniqueness and contribute to maintaining it the way it has been! The presenter has done a good job with this video. Very fair. The highly ignoramus Liberal Government leader with his Indian goons in tow - esp that sell-out NDP leader whose support of Trudope has gotten us in such a mess in this country - are totally to blame!! Indians need to have some self respect and like you said - see themselves as ambassadors of India abroad and present themselves with dignity worthy of respect!! Look at the state of India - with all the money and tech and education for urban dwellers and the elite, the country still wallows in filth and the poor continue to suffer great poverty while the rich get richer and call it karma when the poor suffer - while not lifting a finger to alleviate their poverty..... izzath ka saval hai (matter of respect! - greatly valued!!) - is only personal and selfish and related to one's own family and status - to hell with the rest of the country and people!! They brag about the lavish living of the Ambanis and Goenkas, etc - while the world sees the social injustice and gross disparity born of self-indulgence, selfishness and greed that is at the heart of Indian life in India!

I heard they said that Canada should be returned to its people. I imagine that all the Caucasians will return to England and France and leave this country to the First Nations, right? Because that’s what it means to return Canada to its original people... ;)

I want to comment on something I heard Polievre said. He was mentioning a blue seal ticket for trades people who have migrated here, who hold a ticket for their trade in their home country. I guess Polievre hasnt seen the hundreds of videos on the web of the quality of safe work practice trades workers use in these countries. Their safety standard and quality of work are sub par and I think they should have to take the same training that Canadians require to get a red seal. I really hope they deport a huge number of immigrants for a couple years and then limit the amount coming in again.

Even before watching I can tell you - Germany does not want Skilled labor immigrants, but unskilled. I've been living in Thailand for over two years, and I've noticed many people from Canada, the US, Germany, and France who have made this their permanent home. It seems like things aren't going so well in Western countries lately. I asked my German friend when he plans to return to Germany, and he said, 'never.' It's interesting because even I plan to return to Russia eventually, but someone from Germany doesn't.

WE can't support real Canadians, how in hell are we going to house these people. I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. As I said at the first I have met and made friends with Indians, but it begins to piss you off, when there are so many. Our government has to stop the import of one race and if need be choose a little of all races, and prepare.

It is said in the video, “after exhausting all possible options, a local migrant and a member of the 2s LGBTQ COMMUNITY was just hours away from being forced to leave Canada and set to face possible dangers in Kenya, but an 11th hour miracle happened…” \nCould anyone explain whether this means that this is the only person who has been facing deportation and who would be set to face possible dangers or does this mean that, from all people who have been facing deportation and who would be set to face possible dangers, this person is chosen because he is a bisexual man? Does it mean that the only reason why “Canadian government halts deportation” is because this man is a member of the LGBTQ COMMUNITY, and, if so, does it mean that, from all categories of protected or vulnerable persons, Canadian government makes exceptions only for members of the LGBTQ COMMUNITY? Could this happen that, in all other vital areas of life, Canadian government treats members of the LGBTQ COMMUNITY as being more important than members of all vulnerable groups of persons?

My friends moved to Canada from South Africa. They couldn't take it. The one sister lasted 1 year and the other 2 years. They came back and said that giving up community and culture for money and safety was not worth it. And that the people in Canada seemed very sad and depressed.

Other commenters have pretty much said it all. But I have a theory that countries with a strong maritime tradition have a much more outward-looking attitude, and are keen to interact with other people, cultures and nations. Such countries are UK and other English-speaking nations, Netherlands, Nordic nations, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Egypt, the Gulf states, and much of South East Asia.\n\nCountries without this seafaring tradition are inward-looking, and regard outsiders with envy and as a threat, rather than as an opportunity. Germany is a quintessential example of such a nation.

After reading a few of these comments, the main take aways are, there are a lot of immigrants, things cost more, healthcare is a mess and inflation.\nI am sorry that things are hard, the costs of everything are up everywhere in the world so good luck in gentrifying other nations and making your problems their problems.\nIt pains me to no ends that after things get tough in Canada many are ready to jump ship for better softer areas where they will trash the place with their incomes creating inequality there as well and then blaming the mess that they will create on the indigenous people that they will abandon for better pastures.\n\nAs a Canadian of native ancestry I never had it anywhere as good as many of the people here complaining about their middle class woes.\n\nMaybe if you fought for a change, like more housing to bring down the prices and fought corporate greedflation and gouging, realizing that much of this problem, the attack on the healthcare services, much of it being done by the conservative governments, then perhaps you would not be so annoyed with Trudeau.\n\nHe is not helping the housing problem by not building the 2 million new homes that he said he would but NIMBY people are making this difficult. I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. Just say the truth instead talking around so much and said only one thing, that you are moving from Canada. Just say, everything is to expensive. The life became running after expenses. At the same time there is less and less opportunities. After you add to all that, the fact that the life style in 6 to 7 months long winter is limited, boring, monotone, mainly in closed environment. Even people who have a lot of money cannot change this life style much. There is a lots of more details, but these are the most obvious once.

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

An average Canadian make $2200 to $2500 per month if they work @minimum wage, which is below the poverty line in canada again you can research about it if don't believe me. Teenagers ko paise ni count karna ata agar kisi ko paise dene b pad jaye... 15 16 year old kids ask their parents how to pay and how much cash they need to pay, Canada is Not at all good education wise. I understand you dont want to wait to tell people where you are hoping to move to until its official, but i think you should have said where this ideal location is for you and your business in this video because it might have helped other people watching who are in a similar situation to you where they have a small buisness and are struggling in canada. It would be unfortunate for those people to have to wait months to kearn of the conclusions to your research when knowing now vould possibly save them from catastrophic consequences as the standard of living seems to be rapidly declining in canada.

I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

Nah, you're not leaving Canada. At the very least, you're not giving up your Canadian passport at least. You are leaving Canada because of the situation in Vancouver, where you don't even live?? Nah. you just want to be a non-resident and pay less tax. What if you can't travel anymore?? If homeless people situation bothers you, USA likely is not gonna be your choice...unless you're doctor or something. Then again you're not as far as we know. It's funny that some comments said Canada is becoming a socialist country and yet other suggest moving to Vietnam, a communist country (yes it's still ruled by a communist party) LOL. At the end of the day, wherever you're moving to, you move there because you can be a big fish in a small pond, and you don't need to face problems that the native residents there have to.

I had the same issues as an expat in other countries and other expats who I talked to too. It's always the same.\n\nLanguage barrier:\nFor day to day activities it's less of a problem in bigger cities. For most jobs you simply need a higher level of a language for team work. If you're motivated I believe you can get to C1 in 6 months, with good learning techniques. That said you're probably not motivated. Learning a new language feels like hard work and you feel awkward speaking it.\n\nHard to meet friends:\nSame for all other countries. Create your own social circles or try sports, similar interests to get to know people. \n\nHow people treat you:\nIf you feel unwelcome, it's probably just all in your head because you're not accustomed to a different culture, so you feel like a foreigner. Got nothing to do with Germany, but with being an expat. \n\nRacism:\nProbably less of a problem in western Germany and bigger cities. Avoid east Germany. Also see previous point.

Well said Ma'am. I am also looking to leave what this country has turned into. Homelessness, rampant inflation and taxes, unaffordability of food and basic necessities, it's horrible what is happening in this country. I can't afford to retire here as housing costs are insane. Health care and welfare are overtaxed to the point of being useless. And it will take decades for this country to recover....immigrants who have come here are now leaving after not being able to survive here anymore. I can't trust the Canadian people to vote to get us out of this mess...

As a Canadian I have to agree with much of what you said but it mostly applies to the big cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal where most immigrants like to move. One is more likely to find sociable people and loser housing prices in smaller communities on the Prairies, East Coast and Northern Territories but of course the weather might be more severe and the employment opportunities not as numerous although there may not be as much competition for them either.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

This should not be right because why are we not OK? I understand different parts of the world has things I’m born Canadian as far as my family and millennia and Canada were third generation here in Canada with Caribbean European and American descent all that being said I don’t care how people comes to Canada ?? but we should get the best of the best and I feel like Since they have a job since I work with the airline, why can’t they just apply for a transfer? Once in a wedding we had a cake for 35 people , we were 20 in the wedding some didn’t get a cake….John Smith had taken 25 pieces for himself , I said to John that’s not fair he should “give” a piece to everyone who hasn’t got any, so he took just 3 pieces and gave them to Juan who had already one , so Juan went to Rosa and convinced her the problem was Peter because he had a piece and he should cut it in two because there was not enough for everyone. So Pete and Rosa started fighting….Pete said is not my fault you don’t have any! you should be faster! and Rosa reply it is not my fault I walked the distance when I got there it was nothing left.
