I wish I could go to another country and I only did they take me in and spoke my language and practiced my heritage but give me free everything God that would be great what country is that where can I go to receive this free stuff

I don't get why Colombia won't take their own citizens. They'd rather US go to the trouble and cost of incarceration. \nNot doing their citizens favors because they probably would not be in jail in their home country.

USA should build prisons in Salvador I bet president Bukele would go for it and the USA can put the unwanted immigrants in prison at a very lower cost.

People are misunderstanding the problem here. It is not about returning migrants, its about the US just flying a military plane into foreign territory and dumping people. The president offered up his plane because he wants the deportees to go through commercial flights. If Colombia just flew a jet up and dumped a ton of cocaine on the tarmac of LAX it would be unacceptable, same deal here.

He even sent his own planes later and took them back.\nA sane leader would order his team to review the process and advise them of appropriate measures going forward. These leaders really need to call an Emergency Meeting and figure out a way how they’re going to pay for the International airfare for these natural born citizens returning to their home country. Not doing so would put their own people at risk and create a humanitarian crisis.

They don't even have to go into effect at all. Just the threat of tariffs is often enough. Colombia can't survive without the US as a major trading partner. Tariffs would kill them. So, they quickly changed their tune. Which is why the Colombian President 'Gustavo Petro' has already folded to Trump and has reversed his decision to allow 2 military transport planes to land there after being threaten with tariffs, serious sanctions etc. Like him or not, Trump understands how to negotiate.

Colombia did not reject its citizens, it rejected military aircraft landing without permission. Only an idiot would warn that he was going to invade Greenland and Panama and then expect countries to allow US military aircraft to land.

I think if the teriffs were going to be handed down to consumer like they say it will, I don’t think other countries would do anything in their power to avoid them

Imagine you have your family, including small kids and older parents in your home and had one extra room for rent, you put ads out in the paper and interview some people for the spot, but while you are doing that, someone walked in your door and put all their things in your the room and then expected you to totally be cool with it. The business community in Columbia is very sophisticated and there will be tremendous pressure on Petro to relent.

All this means is that USA consumers pay more for whatever Colombia exports and what consumers will need ( supermarket food produce for example) ?? It does not help US farmers who cannot deliver to super markets their field produce because Trump is deporting workers who go into the fields whom primarily collect it !!!\nTrump is basically taxing the US consumers and pushing prices up !! The US importer pays the tariffs (US customs tax at port of entry) whom then passes it onto the consumer !!\nThe consumer can of course not purchase the product which would hurt Colombia exports; the importers would have to hurriedly find another source whom would probably also increase their price because of demand.\nTrump is a loser and always will be; his businesses are mostly failures; even casinos !!

Never lived there but I drive through alot. California used to be alot nicer but even in its prime its a waistland 3rd world country compared to canada. Texas was horrible. Everyone is rude and stupid. I understand the lack of education but even the people in charge are very simple minded and it's very rare to meet a beautiful woman. Everyone is plastic or too skinny and gross to look at. It's nice to live next door and drive through on my way to the pow wows. I would never move there. Unless canada makes more then 2 genders! Seeing a doctor in the emergency depends on how urgent your situation is. In 2023, I broke my left humerus--the bone in the upper arm. My sister took me to Sacré-Coeur Hospital, which is a teaching hospital. At triage the nurses thought my shoulder was dislocated so they sent me for X-rays even before registration, and at the most, I waited about 20 minutes in the waiting room before I was sent to an examination room. When the emergency specialist came in, I told him about pain between my shoulder blades and a feeling of oppression in my chest. So in addition to dealing with my broken arm, he prescribed blood tests that revealed I had had a small heart attack, and he kept me ovrnight. The next day an angiogram was performed and the cardiologist installed two stents in my heart artery, and I spent two days and two nights in the cardiology unit. I don't dare to imagine how much that would have cost me in your country, but also, many people go to the emergency for things like the flu because they don't have a regular doctor to go to, and of course, for stuff like that you are going to wait a long time. Unless there aren't many patients ahead of you.

Oh and if after that kind of behavior, we would decide to welcome you into our country. Go home and help your own country change. The USA has spoken….we do not want you here

My mother would go to RENO at least 2 times a year with her sister-in-law till the sister-in-law passed away. She wanted to go again and I said not happening mom,my mom was blind and old and I feared for her safety. In Canada we have crime however compared to to the USA we are safer here.

I’m an Indian passport holder living abroad due to personal reasons. I’m eligible for the citizenship of a country that most people would dream to get but I do not like to apply for the same because then I would have to renounce my Indian citizenship (India does not allow dual citizenship). Indians themselves are responsible for visa rejections because most of our people (not all) go under the disguise of tourists with the intention to settle in that country. What kind of treatment would you expect then? I came legally and despite never compromising with my cultural values, I have always felt welcomed in the country that I live in. It’s about how you present yourself in the country that you live in. People are good everywhere in this world.
