So I guess it is only a trade war when the US demands reciprocal tariffs? It seems like injustice to be put on an even playing field when you have not been being held to the same standards. Canada, Mexico and most other countries have had tariffs on the goods they send to the US for decades; why all of the complaints now? Isn’t it fair that the US charge tariffs if Canada and Mexico charge tariffs? Yes, it is. What the hell is Trudeau even flapping his gums about? Perhaps all aid should be taken from Canada and Mexico for being ungrateful. You ever heard of the North American Union? It’s a thing. Look it up. The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go. Once their 'term is over' they simply 'walk away'. World leaders need to be men or women of integrity and honesty who 'do the right thing'. With 'great power' comes 'great responsibility'. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. A person with the mind and mentality of a child apparently is not a fit person to be running the economy of any nation. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. Less than two months this is chaotic. Tdumps Presidency is going to be 4 yrs of chaos. I live in Vancouver and it has the largest open air drug market in North America. I can't recall Trudeau ever speaking about the Fentanyl pandemic so frequently. I worked with NPO's when they declared a public health emergency...hundreds were dying a month, and it seemed at the time that there was so little dialogue due to fear of public backlash for taking a stance on this issue.\n\nI'm not trying to get on a soap box here...but I'm just shocked. I could have given Trudeau a 5 minute drive through main and hastings in my 1998 RAV4 to show him how bad it is, and was...I wonder if he would have opened up this much?

I am a USA citizen and a veteran. Trump's behavior doesn't represent this countries heart. This is an embarrassment and stains what we all believe and fought for.
