The town I live in and grew up in when I was in school. We only had one campus, now here we are 18 years later and my one high school now has 4 different campuses to compensate for the amount of illegals that have overtaken my town. I have no prejudice whatsoever towards these people but they need to do things the right way and become real taxpaying citizens. Meaning going about gaining entry to this country and having a life here the legal way. You want to be here? That's fine welcome to the USA but just do it the right way is all we are asking you're not paying taxes. You're not putting back into the communities. And more than half of them that come here end up breaking the law and becoming criminals and the other half are already criminals. This country's being running to the ground.

The wage of a miner in the US is $38,000 p.a. and they have to live on site permanently. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anyone who comes to Canada but if you’re coming here legally, you should be arrested and charged but I also got a question. How are you going to take care of yourself food here is expensive rent is expensive utility bills expensive everything here is expensive, so how are you going to support yourself if you’re coming here with no money no resources it doesn’t make sense to me where the rest of us Canadians who live here are already struggling with high taxes. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. You can't say you believe in God and Jesus Christ and then he's got your back while you're running and that's the truth in the reality that nobody wants to hear the more people run from these countries the more the bad people are able to take over and then we get complaints here in the states about the cost attacks is rightfully so. For those people screaming and shouting that everybody should go out pick up in my grant and bring them home to their house and feed them and take them and I challenge you to do the same thing for homeless before you even do the migrant do homeless American citizens go out and really educate yourself because I'm totally tired of hearing from Americans that the only people that live on the streets are people with mental health problems that need mental health treatment or people that are stoned out and that's where they want to be you guys are so f****** wrong and this is coming from someone that met homeless people spent time around homeless people and understand we have a society that wants to paints a very different picture than what's truly going on because then it allows for hey it's not our problem they want to be there. You can tell theyve never been to the US. Our emergency rooms can be all day long as well. And the taxes and health care costs end up being the same. Canadians are really misguided when it comes to their taxes. That tax situation is literally the same in the US. Its a false narrative that US people pay less in taxes when you build in the SEPARATE health care costs. For example, I pay 24% in taxes based on my tax bracket. Those taxes do not include the extra health care costs of having a PPT with health care premiums and deductibles- which is an extra 9330 (so an extra 10%)- so now we are paying the same- literally 34% between taxes and health care. AND add to that- the health care that we pay does not cover lab work and copays and medicines. Thats all out of pocket. So its honestly the same cost. It would be MORE fair to live in Canada where everyone gets that taken out of their taxes. Instead in the US, I pay for my health care, and poverty income people get free Medicaid. Then these girls talk about the cost of living? They have never been to the TRI state area.

I'm born and raised in Canada and I've been trying to leave permanently for years now. I just don't have good support from my husband who works abroad and barely spends time in Canada anyways. Canada is beautiful and clean yes but the racism is too much too much, the cold is too much and I deal with depression because of living here. You mentioned boredom but oh my gosh the boredom is overwhelming especially in Alberta. The only way to cope is to travel for months at a time but at the end of the day you always have to come back. I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

I lived in the Philippines for 27 years and we always lock our houses even when we're inside the house coz people (junkies, psychopaths, crazies) just force themselves inside and try to mug us for our belongings and we can't even report it because some u police are crooked, lazy and corrupt. But once i migrated to winnipeg (considered as the murder capital of Canada), i felt safer, believe it or not. I tend to forget locking/closing my garage door and once i come back, everything's still there, nothing gone, considering that i live in the north end (one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in winnipeg). Plus, everyone's just so damn friendly and welcoming. Love it here! But i still prefer living in the Philippines despite being not as safe. Home will always be home.

I find the biggest difference between interacting with Americans vs. Canadians is Americans come off as trying to end the interaction ASAP and Canadians are more awkwardly trying to find a way out of it instead of just waking away or doing the NYC “ok BYE NOW”

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

Immigrants are coming to Canada, only to find that the only affordable housing available is a tent, and the weather is below -20C for months on end. You either freeze to death, or you leave to find a place where you can afford the rent on what the local job market is offering to pay you.
