Back in 2016, Trump introduced 25% tariffs on China 301-classification imports that severely damaged my business. For whatever reason, he then exempted the tariffs, but the public still assumed that they were in place. It was a perfect Trump win-win move to make the voters think that he was acting tough, while actually exempting the tariffs for us importers. Unfortunately, Biden got into office and immediately took away the exemptions and screwed us. I mention all of this in order to exemplify how nothing is as it seems when it comes to Trump. Sometimes you have to let this stuff play out before overreacting. I think that Canada made a mistake by overreacting so quickly. This will force Trump's hand to pursue the trade war, even if it was not his actual intention.

I have had 2 children in Canada, both being a cesarean birth, one head injury where I was in a coma for 3 months, total stay in hospital, 6 months, and had cancer treatment in hospital lasting 2 years, all while being a single father, raising my 2 girls, and I only paid my $58.00 healthcare premium paid 4 times a year, and nothing else. I have heard the average just to have baby in the US is 7-10K not including prenatal care, here in Canada it is zero…\nI have been pregnant 3 times, sadly lost my first 2, and I have had 2 complete knee replacements and several spinal cord surgeries…I would be dead for sure if I lived in the States, here I have paid nothing, I have insurance and that pays for my medication I need to take. I don’t know how people manage down there if you have health issues.

The problem with the way things have become here is that now people that have immigrated legally to Canada and are citizens are now becoming targets of hate and violence. I agree that once the visa is expired people need to go and honor what they signed for. We are also punishing those people who have done nothing wrong. This is really scary to see in our country. Hold government accountable for what they have done and ourselves accountable for who we elect and how we treat other human beings. We are all humans no matter skin color or where we are born so be kind to each other. I am a Canadian. Moved to Houston and lived there for eight years....there is nothing pleasant about living in the United States. Sorry but you guys fail even the basic courtesies of life. Was relieved to get back to Canada and get rid of my sidearms! Hospitals and clinics in the U.S. want proof of insurance or they can refuse to even look at you! In Canada no clinic or hospital can turn you away....and we have the Good Samartan law here...meaning you can't be sued for helping someone in an emegency. I actually knew a person in Houston who made her living suing people and companies just because it was easy money....try that here...lmao. To sum it up....living in Canada has the most appeal for me. Now, 2025, I would not even cross the border...too dangerous...trump tards everywhere and who knows when you will be on thier target list.

as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. I came back to india and I am living peacefully.

India is 1.4 billion strong. If a European country gives Indians easier access on visa, we will flood that country. You already have Dunkis thronging in droves, illegally entering US and Canada. This has nothing to do with nationalism or some second-class treatment by other nations. This is simply the logistical reality. India's passport ranking will never improve. And the way Indians behave in other countries, I would say this rejection rate is more than justified.

Ma'am, when a country makes it harder for citizens of a particular country to enter their country, it is often because of the number of recorded incidents, crime from people from said country. If there is a higher rate compared to people from other countries, then it becomes harder. Let's be honest here... Indians don't have a good reputation abroad when it comes to such things... I'm half Nigerians and at least many Nigerians acknowledge why lately, it is harder for Nigerians to get a visa (Obv crime as well.) Has nothing to do with discrimination. Also, look at the state of Canada. Nigeria and India need to focus on bettering their citizens so that less people go abroad, which also reduces the chance of certain people doing crime, to avoid making it harder for honest people from the same country to get a visa. Better the countries so that more countries open up for Indians, making the ranking go up. \n\nLastly, the passport index website shows India at 65, not 85. Why lie about that to fit your narrative? The passport index website is literally the first result that shows up on Google too... Not everything is about discrimination...

I've written similar comments elsewhere that were automatically deleted by the person who posted the video, and I found that disheartening. I first want to address the rumour about human feces and dirty diapers being found on Canadian beaches, and I want to stand up for the people who called out Indians for doing this. Somebody saw something. Maybe they weren't able to produce any legal proof of it, but they clearly saw something, and there is nothing racist about them calling out this behaviour. This practice is not only unhygienic. It is ILLEGAL in Canada; so, it absolutely should be called out publicly to prevent it from ever happening again. I have seen many videos about the culture of mass open defection in India. The videos I saw were posted by Indians themselves. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. It should never happen. Period. And there is NOTHING racist about a Canadian saying this out loud and reminding people that they must follow the rules and laws of the country they are in.

Born and raised in Canada. Grew up believing anyone could do well here if you apply yourself as an average person. Household income was higher then the USA and for the most part 'middle class life' was pretty attainable. Now I've had some bumps along the way that has nothing to do with this to set me back, but today I look at the 'make a life market' and the opportunities are none. You either own a home and are doing well, or your a renter going backwards every year because of inflation and the brain drain. Entrepreneurs have left the country. We as a country have not done much since the 1980's. We stagnated in The Boomers success and never made a future for their children. Then in the past few years, we have rampant immigration to add to the fire. Canada, for a lack of words is a Dumpster Fire. DON'T MOVE HERE!

I live in Canada and work as a journeyman electrician earning $100k/year. That salary means nothing with such high taxes and high inflation. Like, what’s the point of working full time? \n\nMost of my friends have already left Canada and gone to the States where housing is cheaper, incomes are higher, taxes are lower, and job/business opportunities are plentiful.

We emigrated from Europe as a family to Canada 12 years ago. I felt cheated. Nothing in Canada was better than the country we came from, in fact it was much worse. It completely disrupted our lives. I got a very strong and uncontrollable feeling that Canada would turn out very badly for our family. After a year we went back to our own country and since then we have been doing very well again. It was a great adventure in which our dreams were shattered. I could write a book about it.

These are people ordered by Imgration Canada to leave Canada after failing the processes to stay in the country. That is 30000 people who should have been put on a plane and sent back to their country of origin. Law enforcement needs to be hired to find these people and put them on the plane. Another way to help this from happening in the future is through the laws. If you are here on a visa or temporary work permit, you must leave by the date on the permit or visa. Failure to do so will result in immediate deportation from Canada to your country of origin. It will also result in a permanent ban from for life from entry to Canada for any reason. If you have been found to enter Canada illegally for any reason. This will also be a permanent ban from entry to Canada in the future for any reason. The only way to extend a permit or visa is from outside of Canada, just like other countries require Canadians to do under their systems. There has to be a reason for people to follow the rules, and that is the permanent ban and immediate deportation upon failure to follow the rules. Another thing is an person needs to have paperwork to get on an international aircraft going to another country. So why do these people arrive in Canada and now have no paperwork. They must show that paperwork to CBSA or face immediate deportation and a lifetime ban from entering Canada for any reason. People who have followed the rules are fully welcomed to Canada. They should show they are entitled to be here and not break major laws of Canada. If you fail and are convinced of breaking major Canadian laws. You will be immediately deported from Canada with a lifetime ban from entry to Canada in the future. These are rules and laws used internationally by other countries, so nothing is new...

If Canada could afford it then they wouldn’t be taking everything from the food banks and donation places. There’s nothing left for the Canadians suffering. It’s not even affordable for people that have children anymore, which is why we need immigrants and it’s hurting us.

It is incumbent upon the Canadian government to screen out those applicants who received fake admission letters upon arrival or even before departing for Canada - at the Indian airport of departure. Clearly the priority of the Canadian government was to allow one and all in so as to benefit from the exorbitantly high tuition fees charged to international students - so scrutiny of offer letters took a back seat. The recent crack down on international students (after such a long time) especially in the wake of the impending elections makes Canadians highly skeptical. This is nothing but damage control by the Trudeau government now that they are faced with the prospect of a decimation at the general elections. They needed a scapegoat - what better than to blame international students....the outsider - sound familiar?

Granting visas is a sovereign right. As common as it seems in Canada to grant visas to wanted criminals, it is the effort of most other nations to grant visas only to genuine tourists or businessmen and not to troublemakers - especially those with a history. Absolutely nothing wrong in the goverment of India seeking guarantees from those seeking visas that they will not misuse the largesse and undertake secessionist activities or those that incite violence.
