I must admit as a non-Canadian that I was ignorant about Canada’s economy before I saw this video. I thought Canadians were well off mainly due to its natural resources. They live in a large country so they’re not overcrowded. It’s safe, democratic country with low corruption & less inequality. The Canadians I’ve met are extremely talented & intelligent. How wrong I was about the economy. It has similar problems to other western countries but is cushioned by and reliant on its natural resources. As long as those resources stay owned by its own people.

Yes, ABOUT TIME!!! Canada can't sustain these unrealistic numbers of foreign students and immigrants!!!! All immigration, foreign aid, and foreign countries should be cut off until all naturally born citizens have housing and food!

Unfortunately Germany is not a very attractive place for immigrants for the reasons the guy mentioned. The bureaucracy is incredibly frustrating and it's not only for immigrants. I got offered a job by a very well known multi international company here and they expected me to do the visa application by myself, because they haven't dealt with it before and evidently not enough information was readily available for them to take on the process. Those who are planning to come to Germany I would say spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself with how taxes will impact your salary. Insist on getting a dummy payslip with estimates of what your take home will be (because in Germany there are variables that could make an accurate estimate hard), research the average median expenses in the city or town you are moving to and be preperared to be the person who initiate contact with others. Learn the language which will make it easier to make friends (this will not happen over night as Germans by nature are not the warmest people), but in time yes. Find out whether your qualifications are comparable to those in Germany. You will be so surprise how many people don't do this check and waste their time doing courses that will not benefit them. I know it's incredibly hard to find out about this, like with everything else in this country, finding information on things isn't easy. You will need to speak to 4/5 different people, but it's worth it in the long run and saves you a lot of time.

ABOUT TIME!!! Stop allowing foreign students and immigrants until all naturally born citizens have a home, and are not suffering from hunger!!!! Canadians will vote out all governments that don't follow this policy, as they should!!!

i don't get it, public defecation is good for fertilizing the soil, it is natural to do that, we did it for millions of years before we invented jeans and underwear, we used to poop on-site where ever we are, canadians are backwards and should learn to embrace indian culture.

I have never come across a made in Canada product or services, they just export natural resources. The people had fun and vacations by exporting jobs to 3rd world countries, white color jobs to immigrants, now complaining about inflation ?

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

Naturalized Canadian here. While in Delhi this past winter I was scammed. At the Connaught Place police headquarters, a police officer told me that the biggest problem between Indians is their lack of trust. It doesn't exist. Scamming, he told me, is part of the Indian cultural DNA. So when this new massive wave of Indians come here and import the same uncivilized attitudes and behaviours onto Canadian soil, problems are inevitable. \nThere are different types of fish that can coexist in the same fishbowl, but sometimes there are other fish that come in, don't assimilate, eat up everything, and keep on with their ways from their own fishbowl that brought them the very same problems that they're trying to get away from.

I think the Turk is being a bit unreasonable. I am a Nigerian living in the USA, and work with people all over the world. Unfortunately, the nature of the dominant culture you are living or working in is that you will have to make concessions, not the other way round. It's unreasonable to expect that brits in the UK will speak Italian to you because you are Italian.

Move to Serbia! Serbia is relatively independent country, safe and friendly with great food and spectacular nature. Tens of thousands of Russians and Ukrainians have escaped horrors of war and are now calling Serbia their 'home' - interestingly enough not a single incident of ethnic hatred amongst them. Many Americans and Canadians have also relocated to Serbia as well. English is widely spoken, especially in big cities so there is no communicational issues there! Serbia is also centrally located so in a couple of hours flight you can reach any European capitol. And bullet-train Belgrade-Budapest will be completed very soon which is connected to European high-speed rail network making traveling even easier.

Balkans are so beatuful and Bosnia is sooo great and nic e people. amazing looking rivers and reminded me vampire movies because the nature was so very dense. and the food was good.

I am also looking. In canada there is unrganised land for sale. No buildng permits or no municipal taxes. A new trend is offgrid communuties. I see this as our future. Some comes with your own well on haf acre land. Ony fee is sharing small fee toward plowing road in winter. If you want it or do it yourself. Can be one hour near healthcare and groceries. I can go 3 months without needing shopping presently. You must love nature and homesteading on natural diet, some technical aptitude helpful for solar energy with fuel backup.

The Canadian economy is made up of 80% in the service sectors and only 20% in the manufacturing and natural resources sectors ! This means only that 20% is the only sector of the economy is where new revenue is generated and the country is mostly living on credit every time you buy something made elsewhere !

Amazed that Canada being such a resource rich country cannot even provide affordable housing for her people. Learn from Singapore, with zero natural resource but still have 85% house ownership. Perhaps Canada should outsource managing the country to the smart Singaporeans!

It is hard to pinpoint a specific reason why, but since the COVID 19 pandemic the economy in the whole world got weaker and the natural instinct of the people is to find something to blame. \n\nSome countries blame immigrants, others blame refugees, others blame poor government, others blame weak currency policy, like in Japan. They really have to lock up the drugs and send people to live up in the woods and farms so that they can learn to care for vegetables and fruits and stop relying on the system to support their weaknesses for those drugs that wont take the place of reconnecting with their true selves without!.. I left Canada 20 years ago. The only thing I missed about Canada is Cantonese cuisine. \nCanada has all the land and natural resources, yet its government managed to f**k it up.\nPolitically and economically Canada is a slave of the mafia country down south.

Canada is bigger than USA with a population less than California. They have as many natural resources as Russia. They are sitting next to the biggest market where you can export even stones if you attach a story. Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

Many of the problems you mentioned in the video could be slowly fixed by a better government. Canada certainly needs change, but it has potential very few countries have. We have pretty much every natural resources in abundance. There are many smart and well educated people here. All we need is good leadership i think.

It happens to so many people from all over the world to want to move to another country. Nothing wrong with that. It's in our human nature to always wander / wonder about. It's the same desire that has got MAN to where we are now. Flying to the moon. Exploring the outer reaches of the universe. And many other things - big and small - in between, like the internet, Youtube, Airplanes and Jets ,Facebook and Smartphones.... I wish this lady all the luck. In a lot of ways I envy her. I dream of seeing many many places (although I have done a significant amount of travelling also). She has actually done much more because she followed her heart whilst not losing her head.
