The workers didn’t understand they assumed the cost would be paid by importers. In reality, it will trickled down to American consumers who have to pay for goods. So people be aware you think you can’t afford things now wait you won’t be able to afford anything. I'm sure that if Trump puts someone in charge of Government Efficiency, there will be numerous amounts of money that can be reallocated, to fund a big chunk of this, there is an abundance of wasteful spending and redundancy in Government, that can and should be trimmed. Government needs to work within a budget, and do the things it is required to Constitutionally, and nothing more, and that will free up alot of money. Just as all of us as families or businesses, we have to operate within a budget, and prioritize, and our Government should be held to the same standard, especially when it's our money, that we are entrusting them with, to do their required job.
