Im a white female If I go in to any electronic store or department they always ask if I need any help maybe because I come in the store with my latino husband and mix children

I am a male white man . I am 57 years old . I was born in Canada . At a store that I was shopping at , 2 employees showed up within 2 minutes and was watching me from a distance of 15 feet from me while I was looking at wallet's . I felt a tingling feeling at the back of my neck . I had a difficult time to figure out what wallet that I was going to buy . I was there between 15 - 20 minutes . Both of them stayed near me , watching me until a found the right wallet to buy . I bought the wallet . To me that was wrong for both of them to do that because neither of them approached me and asked if I needed any help .

I'm a white old long haired guy and when I go to best buy I get asked alot if I need help!

?? Im from Ontario Canada and have always worked management in retail. I've always taught any employees in any department that if you see anyone lingering for any longer than 5 minutes, black, white, or any race for that matter to ask if they need assistance! Again I don't care the color, race, most people that come into a store have come in and know what they're looking for! When I see a customer looking for longer than 5 mins, it's just common practise to ask if you need help. I'd suggest you's re-think this practise that we all are taught in stores

I am so glad this video aired. Personally, I had no idea Canada had these issues. Canada was always shown as a 'safe haven' from racism and from slavery. This is the place where run-a-way slaves escaped to. Although this is a tough subject and many both Black and White wish for this subject to come to a close, there is still so much education required on both sides that need this information. And more importantly, this video does highlight many success stories regardless of the racism and historical oppression that exists, even in modern times. Please do not loose sight of that important fact.

There are racism and xenophobia....In ALL country against ALL RACES ..... I just find the film industry so frustrating. As a woman I just feel that it's a white male dominated industry. The Oscars just reinforced my consistent frustration. Films are predominantly aimed at white men, big block busters that make maximum profit, celebrating the male archetype. Men review films, men analyse the profit made and then decide more films for men need to be made. I feel so under-represented in films and I can see how much worse this is cross culturally. I was talking to a student of mine who has gone on to do film making at uni and raised this with him after some discussions on our favourite films. He hadn't really thought about the need of different audiences to see films that reflect their own backgrounds, ideologies etc. Hopefully the new generation of film makers will bring with them a more authentic and fresh approach to film making.

To be honest, this whole video seems so biased. I couldn't watch it past the 10 minute mark.\n First of all, if the white guy had been the first to tell the manager that he was interested in the apartments, then of course that same manager is going to tell the 2nd person (asian guy) that the availability is limited. He already HAS a potential renter, why would he need more? The 1st guy already chose one of the apartments, so of course the Asian guy would have less options.\nSecondly, and I'm sorry to say this, but statistically there are more black shoplifting cases than with any other race. It's sad, but true. These retailers are just trying to protect their assets, and it's their right.\nThirdly, that lady was in the wrong, for one, because if a security person is asking to inspect your purse on THEIR retail grounds and you have nothing to hide, then why are you being uncooperative? That just makes you look worse.

I get followed in stores and I’m white and at Best Buy people always ask you if you need help over and over again

Why do white countries feel the need in bringing over every 3rd world country's people ? You don't see this in China or Asia in general, Africa all the countries there and lets not forget India. So why do we feel like we can't have our own countries, everyone else has theirs

I am Latino, more or less capuccino skin (with extra milk), I can say that racial experiments here would be very interesting. I finnished university and have experience in my field. I've been looking for a job for a while, not much luck, I'm don't get called to interviews that much, I only get calls from agents that show me positions in company that I apply for but 90% of the time get rejected right away. \n\nI have white friends, one of them didn't study university. It hasn't been easy for him either, but he's pretty lazy, I know for a fact he didn't search much and got 7 interviews in 3 months while I hardly got called for 3 companies with the help of 5 agents. He got a job for which he needed training, I got rejected for that job and I do have experience in that field. I have to say it hurts. Funny thing, even he says it's suspicious because he couldn't answer many questions on the interview

People need to stop judging by skin colour. Working security at hospitals for the last few years i can confirm one thing. Most of the people who cause us problems are white males.

I’ve been accused of racially profiling someone. Because my coworker asked them if then needed assistance & then I did without realizing she already had. She thought we were the same person. I guess because we are both white with brown hair? Felt awful afterward. Not sure why people would even think to spy on people of colour whilst shopping. Usually (in my experience) the people who steal seem sketchy - they won’t make eye contact, are standoffish etc. Those are the people to keep an eye on. You’re just wasting your time otherwise. I get followed quite frequently. It’s pretty funny because I’ve never stolen anything from a store in my life

i got racially profiled . i went to an up scale outdoor mall. Full off super wealthy White ppl . I was with my friends in a candy store .. i bought a sprite and told the lady to keep the receipt . i didn’t think i needed it . it was only like 2 bucks. Long story short an older lady who was in her 50’s about ( white ) accuses me of stealing tells the workers to chase after me . As i’m walking out . One of the lady’s grabs my shoulder and ask me if i paid for that . i said yes i did. she asks for my receipt and i told her i just bought a sprite and didn’t think i needed it She tells me to STAY PUT . i said uh ok. She ask the lady at the register if i paid and she said yes . Remind u everyone in the store is white i’m the only black kid . Also i’m 13. My friends confronted the lady without me asking . i’m thankful for them

No wonder, the non-whites stick together in tight groups with their respective languages and having strong connections for business, staying and other stuff. When there is huge discrimination, they need to resort to this behavior (apart from the natural behavior of staying together with known or familiar people). It is the same here in UK too but later locals start complaining they are not integrated well into local culture. Pathetic.

These are the type of videos that white people need to watch because a lot of them don't even believe black people and other non-whites experience racism and discrimination as much as we say or even at all.

As a white man I love the liberty of sleeping with women from all over the world. I notice many white women´s basic needs are not met which is the reason they go on these verbal rampages all the time. The thing about Islam and Muslims is that they want everyone to support and defend them\nBut in their own countries they don’t support nor defend anyone except for the people who share their religion. It’s a double standard, and they play victim when it suits them. Islam itself is very intolerant as a religion. That politician is correct but the white man needs to educate himself on Sikhs their history and culture. The white man not once said that the turban guy was a muslim. This was at a muslim gathering where the sikh guy said provocative things about how muslims and Sikhs are prosecuted and how they need to unite and take over Canada administration. By the way, as a white blonde hair , blue eyed American I have many many times in Walgreens Drug Store been approached by an “Indian” employee and asked beyond my comfort zone if I needed help. I was looking at candy for my tool truck business, he went as far as to stand directly in front of me, with my face staring at the back of his head inches away pretending to organize the same shelf and candy I was looking at. It infuriated me to a point that I said to him I’ll be calling corporate and showed him my phone screen with my back account balance telling him I didn’t need to steal. It's everywhere!! Sometimes when I'm being followed in a store I'll ask security to help carry my items. They don't like that. I'm not a thief and I don't like being followed, so if you want to follow me then help!\nDirty jokes, police brutality, accusations and more. I'm expected to except it, well I don't. If it were done to them they would feel the same way I do. Here's the thing, I'm bi-racial (2/5 white). On applications they cross that out and mark black. That's a lie and makes me look untruthful. It's everywhere and needs to stop. Their fear makes everything elevated to levels that should not be in the twenty-first century. It's out-dated and really makes the person doing it out-dated and living in the past.

Ok. Just to be fair, the stuff in the store is actually customer service. My skin is white as snow and when I go to one of these electronics stores I'm actually glad someone asks if I need help because half the time I'm so overwhelmed with choices of gadgets and computers, etc. that I do need help making the correct choice of product for my needs.

Last time I went to BestBuy I walked in and passed by about 8 sales persons standing in a circle just talking about anything and nothing. went to the back where they sell speakers for cars and couldn't find what I was looking for. I walked back to the circle jerk and asked for help and one person broke away and the first thing I said was it must be nice to work for a failing company and everyone gets to just stand around while customers walk by and no one even notices. Looks like you are overstaffed and someone needs to do some firing. He showed me some speakers and I just ordered them online. Haven't been back to BB since about 2 years ago. Oh, yea. I'm white.

Recently I went to hot topic and all\nThe workers where white and me and my friend where the only latinas there and literally the same worker would come up to us asking if we needed help with anything every 10 minutes at LEAST and at first we thought nothing of it until we noticed the OTHER workers started coming up to us frequently, definitely made us uncomfortable ??

When I lived home in the 80's and early 90's I was a teenager. Even then I noticed that the black hair care products were behind the counter but the hair care products for white people were in the isles. Even 2 years ago here, in Columbus, I was shopping with a friend. In my Lane was a white lady, my friend who was white, then me. We all used a card and the sign stated an ID was needed to use a card. No one was asked until it was my turn. When she asked. I showed it, then waited till the line was gone. Then I went to the counter and questioned her. She hummed and stumbled over her words. In the end her bigotry and profiling seemed subconscience. That was even worse.

The same white girl asked if I needed help 4 times at Sephora yesterday when I was looking at Tatcha products so maybe she was racially profiling me?? ? Idk
