Hey,\n\nI don’t know how popular you are but I am hoping that you (or someone else reading) can make some short shareable etiquette videos for Indian immigrants. I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Those so called brown people don’t contribute to Canadian society many of them are very bad people they are huge scammers like to make easy money they don’t work hard they have no respect for others most have that third world mentality and they are living and blending in with us I don’t understand nothing of them they make lots of children this way they can guarantee there stance in Canada \n \n(do let me say not 100 % of them are bad \n Honestly we don’t need them they are a burden to out living here in Canada they need to go back \nyou can see what Trudeau has accomplished he actually changed the face of your Country Canada \nTake a good look at the schools everywhere From every corner of Canada it’s now a different Country we. You need to come live in Brampton then you will know why they hate Indians, try going home to Brampton after 11 in night you will see ghettos of cars like they do in India and I personally saw them peeing on the street , unmanned, unqualified, illetrates , rowdy indian immigrants

As a Canadian born in Canada I feel the border needs to be shut down. We have worked hard to set our standard of living, this is now in danger of collapsing because the government has allowed so many immigrants into Canada putting a strain on our healthcare,housing and other programs. These people are getting to use our resources without having paid into them for years like we Canadians have. Our way of life and standard of living are at risk of collapsing, we see it happening in our healthcare, affordable housing and the drain on funds for the poor. When we see them protesting about being forced to leave and how they refuse to try and take on our culture, where whole towns are being taken over by their arrogant attitude to take over these cities. We want our country back

This move doesn't address the refugee status that's used by human rights lawyers to get thugs in , playing see saw with skilled labour is dangerous when the economy needed them then Canada allowed many to enter but didn't screen properly so a lota crap slipped through, now towards elections this move also doesn't address the housing issue & public healthcare & other social related issues. Those kicked out will find employment elsewhere if they are contributing to taxes the effect may be negative.

Time to lock down our intellectual property again and not share any of future developments anymore. No more sharing such valuable with such ingrates. Lock down and do as much innovation as we can in the coming decades so that we can make centuries of progress in a few decades and then maybe get the advantage back again and then tell these people were never actually letting our guard ever again. let's make it a capital offense to share any intellectual property or technologies from the West to these assholes from now. Isn't it very curious that you won't talk embracing globalization free trade how quickly the West loss control over everything that I had and it's awesome under its aegis. How quickly companies like Nortel were totally destroyed and then we have a weird quickest tendency of something like Huawei. With obviously knock off the products that took a hell a lot of research and development for companies like Nortel who actually did the work to make. Let's see how well they're actually able to innovate when they actually no longer have access to the cookie jar. It pisses me off like we've done so much on this planet to actually push Humanity forward into a much more modern era where would be nice to travel to the Stars mind you like Country like we are nothing but Scoundrels and we had nothing but yeah. When you guys need the next revolutionary processor or whatever don't come with running to us because yeah I think we're about done in the West

I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Employees in Walmart, Costco, Tim Hortons (especially!), etc., are seen standing around, chatting with each other in their Indian languages instead of being professionally attentive to customers. The shopping experience is not pleasant like it was 25 years ago!! Your remarks are not harsh and Indians NEED to take it personally and be embarrassed into doing the necessary to make the changes they need to. We immigrated to Canada not to come to 'another India' - we came to Canada and would like to live in this country to appreciate it's uniqueness and contribute to maintaining it the way it has been! The presenter has done a good job with this video. Very fair. The highly ignoramus Liberal Government leader with his Indian goons in tow - esp that sell-out NDP leader whose support of Trudope has gotten us in such a mess in this country - are totally to blame!! Indians need to have some self respect and like you said - see themselves as ambassadors of India abroad and present themselves with dignity worthy of respect!! As an International Student living in Canada and seeing soo much happening here, this video was much needed. But the recent issues regarding new and harsh rules implemented for immigrants should have been covered at the time of releasing this video. Anyways..in short.. it's TOO bad for ANY kind of immigrant right now in Canada..so if you can avoid..please don't come here

These students have no right to protest. First thing they are not citizens of this country. So take a hike. The other issue which is the main issue is that we have a huge housing crisis in Canada. Where Canadians who were born here cannot buy a house because there's nothing really to buy and adding foreign students in the mix is just creating more problems. Protesters are being selfish and the way I see it you're being selfish. Then you need to be deported leave now. As a Canadian citizen from an Immigrant background myself, I’m all for Immigration. However, Immigration cannot be coming for the vast majority from a single country, which is India, as per Immigration Canadada own stats, 70% of international students visa were delivered to Indian students, what about the rest of the world ???? Everywhere you go you see indians, dollarama, tim hortons, walmart, and indians are not discrete. That’s why we Canadians have had enough with Indians, this mass immigration specifically from Indians needs to be stopped!

The truth of the matter is that this program has been abused for decades and decades by Canadian business. It is immoral to use the Canadian immigration system to suppress wages and inflate housing cost’s of home and apartment rentals. \n\nCountry’s that have population’s of close to a billion people, need to step up, and better develop their own economy’s and education institution’s. Stop with the expectation that country’s like Canada, should always carry the burden and responsibility, to educate a continual portion your one billion citizen’s, or your even your hundred million citizens. No good can come from Canada, continually carrying that load. \n\nIt isn’t about being anti immigrant or being racist, that isn’t the issue. It’s about being fare and cognizant of the people in Canada, who aren’t just passing through. There are people that came here to stay, and whose ability to rise, is being stifled and sabotaged. So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I think if Immigrants were made to bring on the Fun, instead of an emphasis on making things better or more equal, it would shape out everything. Just imagine if Chinese and Hindi-migrants came over and said, we need to spice up Canada big time and proceeded to give each of your family members a playful kiss? And what if suddenly, they threw their own cultures away to start making their own version of clown circuses which catered to the needs of native Canucks? Who knows, maybe we can make Toronto the new Disney World and everyone can become Disney Families. Canada, what Canada? You mean Piñata Cañada, don't you? \n\nBut all of this immigration planning started in the 70s (while North America was being fed commercials and illusions galore - no country has ever watched so much content in a single lifetime). This was all planned. North America will become Asiatica; while Europe will become Asian Atlantic (kind of like Virgin Atlantic?- see doesn't that sound fun, you pilgrim, you?) .\n\nSoon cemeteries will be replaced with affordable housing, and there will be burial libraries; after all, libraries still need to stay in business even if the visitors are conscious or not.

We like this fear in JT .. but he stand zero chance .. we will pick and throw this crazy tyrant soon .. get out of our government .. we don’t need to see your face anymore .. you and your yes man cabinet is good for nothing .. there will not be any election for your lifetime to win anymore

so it means that we need more charismatic entrepreneurs to make more money and increase the number of competitors. I am not from Canada however I still feel like canada is a new country and it will grow for sure. It's much younger then US and we are experiencing stress and difficulties at the moment but we will rise. I live in Italy and I do not see any opportunities like in here. For sure US is more attractive but I hope Canada will change in the next 10 years. During recessions you can make more money than before. Can I have your opinion as well? I would like to talk to someone about it.

This needs to stop America has poor people to if you go to downtown Dallas you will see lots of homeless people you can't just invade in the USA get greenlight card you can't invade in USA MAY GOD BLESS AMARICA

I am from India and been living in Canada for 18 years. I am living here with my family and I am so grateful to this country and respect the country and the freedom I have. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. And the kids are grown from the broken families maybe ending up in the streets. Indians are most of them only marry once and keep their marriage life till the end. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. We can’t blame them, because this is the offer they get from here. \nBut even though I am from India, I have enough from Indian people here in Canada. I always questioned the people from India either you guys respect the culture here or please go back. The reason I love Canada is Canadians are so pleasant and so helpful. I don’t like not only Indians but anyone who is coming to Canada, if you love the country that the country you are not living please leave and don’t mess up this country. Leave your Culture back home. Your festival do it inside of your house don’t block the streets. Keep your Gods inside your home, everyone is not enjoying that what you doing. The worst thing I felt, no respect nowadays and nuisance, late night parties no respect for neighbours and no cleanliness. Because of some people we all are get treated same. Hindus wanted to bring their religion here, Muslims wanted to bring their religion, buddhists wanted their religion here. Can’t blame Christians because Canada is a Christian based country and I never saw them blocking the Road or streets. So anyone so obsessed please leave and enjoy your religion at home where you born.

Loved this video. So real!! I think it's so important to always be moving forward in life. If Canada is that next step for you that's great, but if you've been here for a few generations and it's no longer serving you in the ways you need there is nothing wrong with searching for something more. I think for so long people have looked at Canada as this utopia and/or ultimate finish line destination but once you're here it's quite a shock at how difficult life really is here because of how expensive it is. Not to mention the climate... Hard enough living in the winter most of the year. Great video can't wait to see what's next for you :) !!

I am also looking. In canada there is unrganised land for sale. No buildng permits or no municipal taxes. A new trend is offgrid communuties. I see this as our future. Some comes with your own well on haf acre land. Ony fee is sharing small fee toward plowing road in winter. If you want it or do it yourself. Can be one hour near healthcare and groceries. I can go 3 months without needing shopping presently. You must love nature and homesteading on natural diet, some technical aptitude helpful for solar energy with fuel backup.

As someone who has lived in Germany for almost 9 years and speaks C2 German, this is my take: \n- I understand the language requirements are necessary , but they are more often than not completely unrealistic unless you started with the language at a young age or you have lived in Germany for many years. \n- The bureaucracy and hurdles to obtain visas and permits are absurd. It is literally easier to throw away your passport and claim asylum than go the legal way to obtain permanent residence or citizenship. This is crazy, the government needs to reform this. \n- Cost of living is high and wages are ok, but the taxes are way too high. It is frustrating to give away so much for a government that malinvests much of that money.\n- Due to the high costs and relatively low real income, it is hard to build up wealth. \n- The culture is also not easy to adapt to. Even though I master the language and have many German friends, I still deeply have the feeling I don’t belong. I am ok with that, I still love the country and its people, but it’s not for everyone. \n\nIf you are a highly skilled worker with no previous connections to Germany, I don’t see many reasons anyone would pick it over other rich countries.

biggest problems are the delusional politicians in the government who dont take care of its citizens in the first place take care of your country first and once you've done that then you can help those are in need of support but not at the expense of the livelyhood of its residence in america and not at the expense of their freedom ot their well being. that goes for every government and i can see too many of those politicians are too focused on getting wealthy being greedy increasing rent, taxes etc they are a disgrace.

The racism against Germans that is so openly expressed in the comments here is unbearable. Yes, there are some bad people in Germany (basically in any country on this planet, unfortunately) who are themselves racist or discriminatory. But that is by no means the majority of Germans. I have lived here for decades and have met the most warm-hearted people. From the comments I rather gather that many who come to Germany simply extremely overestimate the demands they can (and may) make of Germany (or pretty much any other immigration-friendly country). If you come to Germany it is obvious that you have to learn German (or the local language). That is the case everywhere, including France, Italy and Korea - you name it. And if you can't do that straight away that's okay too, most Germans speak English and are very forgiving when it comes to language learners. Nobody shouts at you for not knowing German. Furthermore, Germans are very direct and don't care much about artificial and feigned friendliness. What you see is what you get. And I think that's honest and quite refreshing. \n\nThe thing is, YOU have to approach Germans and can't just expect them to roll out the red carpet for you just because you think they are in need of your workforce. The simple truth is: the standard of living in Germany is very high. The culture is diverse, and anyone who doesn't recognize this should broaden their horizons. Cities like Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg are beautiful, extremely multicultural and anyone who describes them as 'dull' will probably not feel at home in any city on this planet. The people are also nicer than many non-germans claim - that's obvious, because if that weren't the case, Germany wouldn't be the most popular country to immigrate within Europe amongst immigrants. Of course there are problems on the German side too. Bureaucracy, language barriers and discrimination. But they definitely don't deserve the unreasonable racism they face here in the comments. You can't criticize Germans for their alleged discriminatory behavior by unreasonably attacking and generalizing Germans themselves. Anyone who approaches Germans with prejudice and racism should not be surprised if they do not receive a friendly welcome there...

You want to know why here my details experience. \n\nAlthough the govt wants skilled people, the people don't. The society will simply won't accept you. People don't separate between those who leach off the system or those who contribute.\n\nExtremely high taxes compared to the befits. I myself pay more than 30% taxes and 100 different indirect taxes and what I get in return nothing. For example if I just want to go to a doctor appointment I have to wait 1 month. If I want to rent an apartment the moment people see my Indian background they just ghost me automatically even without having a single conversation or looking at the document. \n\nAdd language barrier and extreme paperwork load, the most skilled people are either leaving or planning to leave after 4-5 years. \n\nThe system needs to change and reward those who contribute to the society and not the illegal ones.

I grew up in Montreal and left to go to graduate school in California. I have since moved to Las Vegas (California was a dissaster runned by Democrats who screwed up everything) and everything fell into place and I am extremely happy. I make a good living here and I can usually make a same day or next day appointment to see a doctor when I need one. I remember how bad government runned healthcare in Canada was and that it used to take months to make an appointment to see a doctor. The medical system in the USA is top notch as long as you live in a Republican dominated state. I guess that's the difference between Canada's government runned healthcare and the USA's private healthcare. Anytime the government operates a system it is a dissaster. If you're looking to move somewhere I would recommend Las Vegas.

I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

Agree with the mass immigration has screwed things up...I am PR turned Canadian citizen now....the things are gone worse in last 2 years....I am not against immigration as I am PR immigrant too...certainly Canada needs skilled workers but the things getting worse by mass immigration masking skilled work immigration...Woking hard contributing to the society and country all it matters...but I can't see all my tax money going to refugees and asylums....this should stop.. immigration needs to be halted and country should go to repair mode else it would a let down for future generations and there is no stop for Canadians migrating to other countries for better life...india thought culture to the world...whats going wrong...respecting culture and people is what we indians are...

I'm a Canadian and I moved to Asia 20 years ago. My motivations for leaving were the endless winters, the absolute necessity of having a car and two sets of tires, crazy insurance prices, and getting taxed on everything without seeing benefits. Now when I visit I am shocked at the price of everything from food to gas to hotels. In addition, I hear that housing has gone through the roof. Many can't afford to buy and face bidding wars to rent a place. With oil, timber, minerals and more, Canada should not be in this position. The government(s) have really messed things up and need to start reversing these trends now.

Why should this country you're fleeing to take you in? Instead of fleeing Canada, why don't you fight for it? Did you vote for the Liberals that are screwing up Canada? Are you just going to do the same in your next host country? Have you ever looked in the mirror? Maybe you're the problem you're fleeing from. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Canada, like the rest of the world, needs to repent. Then they might get the wisdom back to govern properly. It's good that you see the problems of Canada, but you should pay your dues and fight instead of just complaining and fleeing. And if you do leave, maybe put a little more effort into your next host country and not just flee when the going gets tough.

All are the same, all of the Western countries go down-hill, before they lost the competition to Japan, S Korea, now they lost the competition to China, SE Asia, and South America, that's why you see people in Canada and many developed nations lost their job, what people in Canada need to do is study harder, work harder not being lazy.

In the 80s and 90s Canada received thousands of immigrants who believed they were living the Canadian dream and obtaining nationality was a great honor, what happened to Canada to get to this point, every year I see dozens of farmers selling their land and emigrating to Brazil, and prospering in soybean plantations and raising cattle, when I ask a Canadian farmer why he came to Brazil, I only see a tear drop and answer Canada is in the past and he needs to guarantee the future of his family.

I see a lot of Europeans are having problems with Indians Immigrating into these countries. Its YOUR problem not OURS. Canada, Australia, heck even USA were not white countries, they were colonised by Europeans pushing aside indigenous people. You guys invade the world illegally and hate when same happens with you, how hypocritic. And we aren't even migrating illegally (those who are need to be punished).

Funny how Canada is being criticized by the same problems. High taxes, very expensive (or non-existent) housing and salaries not very good. Well... maybe that´s why they need more people too. Canada is bringing 500k people annually, but right now we don´t really have jobs nor housing for them, and lots of Canadians are unemployed. And people want to see less immigration as well.

I think you need to be patient. Canada is a good place and can be again with the Liberals being replaced. People in Canada are more centre politically than extreme left or right. From what I see with comments across the different podcasts I watch, people in Canada are fed up with the direction he has taken us. A more centre government be in place will bring us back to a more familiar country.

for those who say i the coments that a country needs to be monoethnic to be safe one question remains. How do legal migrants who go to work there make the country unsafe? I'm portuguese, we have many people from different ethnicities, and we are the 4th safest country in the world. You don't need to be monoethnic to be safe. In our case it would be historically innacurate with all the portuguese speaking countries around the world that have adopted most traces of the portuguese culture. Our country hasn't been monoethnic since the 1600s. One thing is not wanting illegals to cross easily another one is the blatant hatred and discrimination that I see in the comments.

l Support your new dream of living a better life , l made that same choice in 1993 . As a fellow traveller you see how other cultures deal with life. Canada started going backwards when the Conservatives enacted the GST , like we needed more taxation . Canadian government is self serving just like the USA.
