I don't mind a few Indians here and there, but 500,000 Indian and Pakistani immigrants coming, every single fricken year, are you serious??!!? I'm seeing Toronto become more and more like India, with poop on the public beaches, trash on the streets, their dishonest culture is infecting Canada for the worse. If you like India so much, please stay there. Thanks.

Anyone want to talk about the environmental policies and regulations that prevent Canadians from taking advantage of their massive natural resources? Huge tracts of land are off limit to development due to environmental protection rules, there's minimal infrastructure investment (few roads, ports, etc.) outside of Toronto, and people wonder why there's a lack of affordable housing.

I have been living in Toronto for 35 years, I completely understand what you are feeling, believe me I know. I feel that my time here is coming to an end, I will leave in a year or two... I will be elsewhere and will just come to visit .

The difference between the Liberals and Conservatives is tiny. The policy will not change regardless who's PM. Housing, mainly rental market is horrific. And it has been. And yet we bring large numbers of immigrants. Unfortunately many Canadians live in poverty due to high taxes and cost of housing. Try to understand not everybody is young, healthy or intelligent like you. One day you'll understand my point. Situation around Toronto is terrible. Housing, commute times. A LOT of students have come here illegally (not all) is the issue; and for those who have stop protesting failing grades. I also tried to move to other countries. Poland where my family is from being one of them. And I couldn't make it work. So I had to leave. I went to school in Toronto (as a Canadian) Finance, and got my investment license, and I still wasn't given a chance in the industry. When things don't go as you planned, sure it sucks. But it's a fact of life. Canada doesn't owe anything to anyone.

I’m not white. But honestly, the white population of Greater Toronto Area, is dwindling very fast and being replaced by Indians, at an alarming rate. Go to any elementary school and majority of the kids are Indian. That’s the face of tomorrow.

As a Canadian who has immigrated here since 2000, I can strongly relate to your feelings and views. Canada used to be more welcoming for immigrants: there were more opportunities and things were more economically reasonable. The paths which Canada has taken over the last ten years or so...the additional burdens for the middle classes were quite hefty. The increasing crime rates that I see in Toronto is something that was unimaginable when I first came to Canada. Im a 35 male and based on my peers' and my experiences, I can say that, overall, it is financially difficult to live in Canada unless you have a high paying job or have some financial dependency elsewhere. @PierrePoilievre

I live in Toronto, and we see issues first hand. 1. Many don't assimulate, nor do they mingle with Canadians. 2. They have so many of the entry level jobs and hire only indian people. 3. Canadians 18- 25 can't get the entey level jobs. 4. Many in school don't work hard with group work as this wasn't the real goal. 5. Many in entey level jobs english skills are limited.\n\nCanadian born of Indian back grounds see it too! No hate. Not working.

Canada is rapidly deteriorating. Fast food industry and condominium front desk workers from south Asia have taken most jobs in Toronto. Meanwhile young Canadians can't find a job. Trudo has to go

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. Cost of living is very expensive to live in Toronto

I work at a downtown teaching hospital in Toronto. All of our student doctors are from mainly the Middle East just doing their rotations in Canada. They tell me once they are done they are leaving Canada. No spots for Canadian student doctors. Foreign students pay higher tuitions so the universities make more $$$ but Canadians suffer.

The situation is more nuanced than just blaming migrants at large. \n\nFirstly, migrants were part of the population that accelerated Canada's economic development. \n\nOne big modern example is the building of the tracks (manual labour) of the Canadian National Railway across the country: much of the physical labour was done by migrants.\n\nAnother example is temporary farm workers that help plant and harvest Canadian crops annually.\n\nIn contrast, there are some migrants that have intentionally taken advantage of opportunities to invest in and monopolize large plots of land development all over Canada in recent decades. Prominently in Vancouver and Toronto.\n\nThis unrestricted monopolization of Canadian land is usually done by the wealthy from other countries. As a result, housing market prices goes up in and around these land development projects that the local population are unable to keep up to afford. And it's the fault of both the federal and provincial governments in just letting these wealthy investors gain a monopoly on Canadian soil and artificially driving up housing market prices.\n\nThe influx of international student visas have only exacerbated this housing crisis because land development investors are now using their new establishments as international student housing for profit while pricing out or simply not catering to the need for housing for the local population.

This is the result of mass migration from India which are destroying the balance of migration. Though I myself was a temporary resident from Philippines. I was shoch here in Toronto because I notice everytime I go from Train to Bus they occupied 70 to 80 percent. And guess whats next The Bad smell inside. And also I noticed they are so undecipline like some sit at the train with their foot hang at the chair and I also noticed they did not give the sit to the elderly even they saw them they just pretending that they didbt saw an elderly.

I went to high school in Brampton Ontario, in the mid 80's and there were no Indian immigrants anywhere. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I’m an Indian and I visited Toronto in 2019. I felt the city had no identity because it full of Indians. Came to see Canada got India instead. At least Niagara Falls was nice.

I left Canada (my city Toronto) four years ago and living in Europe now. Nowhere in the world is heaven due to the globalisation and the interconnected politics. Yet I can say that I don't miss Canada at all. Watching from a distance all what's happening in Canada and talking to my friends, it seems like I did not do the wrong thing. No regrets so far...

I came to Canada (Vancouver) from China in the early 80s (40 yrs ago), w my parents, who thought Canada would bring a better life, because Canada was cleaner, safer, more economically advanced, etc… I just visited China (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, HK) in March, and today it’s complete 180 reversal…. The big cities in China today are much more economically developed, technology advanced, safer, cleaner (no homeless people)… Canada showed little/no progress after 40+ years… actually backwards with homeless people & druggies everywhere… Worst of all and I agree, cost of living & housing costs in Vancouver & Toronto today out of control…

My dad came to this country in the 80s; I was born here. I had a lovely childhood in the 90s and 2000s. My parents bought a house in suburban Toronto with just a high school education. They sent us to public school, which was perfectly good. I was looking forward to buying my own house, etc. I loved this country. Even back then, people were reticent about being too nationalistic. But I was PROUD to be Canadian even though my parents were not born here. I thought of myself as Canadian, I sang O Canada proudly, I celebrated Remembrance Day in a solemn way even as a child, and I would have died for the country if we had been at war. \n\nWell, not anymore. I don't recognize this country after years of Trudeau. I can never buy a house here, the cost of groceries is burdening me, and the younger people in my family can't even find part time jobs as students. People are increasingly rude, crime has me on edge, it's congested. Freedom of speech, which was taken for granted when I was very young, is dwindling away. Churches have been burnt, Trudeau has incited hatred against people who disagree with him. I'm actually moving to the USA to work there, so that will ease a lot of these issues. (I know it's not perfect down there, but having spent a lot of time there, I can see many things are better). But I'm sad. I'm sad for my family that still lives here. I'm sad that the country I once loved is gone.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I do visit Toronto every year, and it used to be much better than Australia. I went last year and was shocked. Living cost gone up 35% compared to Australia. Minimum wage $17, and avrg. house prices $1.3m, just rubbish!

I’m from NJ and just visited Toronto for the first time last week. I’ve never seen this many Indians or Pakistanians in a major North American city in my life before.

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I think if Immigrants were made to bring on the Fun, instead of an emphasis on making things better or more equal, it would shape out everything. Just imagine if Chinese and Hindi-migrants came over and said, we need to spice up Canada big time and proceeded to give each of your family members a playful kiss? And what if suddenly, they threw their own cultures away to start making their own version of clown circuses which catered to the needs of native Canucks? I moved to Toronto in 2004 and I left Canada in 2019. I got a well paid job in a different country. In the first 3-4 years I was so sad but now I don't know if I will ever return. I'm happy that I didn't witness the fall. Farewell, Canada!

I have read most of the posts, and as a 78 year old female senior, who was accepted with my mother and father, as refugees 68 years ago into Canada, I can't believe the garbage reasons why these people are unhappy here.\nI am also a well travelled person, 36 countries on 5 continents. Saw incredible sights, YET, whenever, I arrived in Canada either in Vancouver or Toronto, I was always grateful that\n I LIVE IN CANADA.
