Why are they not opening fire? I'm not sorry for your situation as we have problems here too. If you want to act like fools charging the gates to our border, that is an act of war and should be treated as such. One warning shot would have made them stop. If they didn't stop you shoot one person. If that doesn't make them stop, you start taking ppl out. We need to protect our borders, protect them from criminals, drug mules, and the like. That means we need to do a background check before anyone can cross that border. Not letting them in, giving them a cell phone, giving them a place to live, not allowing them to work while they sit there waiting 2 years for a court date. Its beyond ridiculous and that is what the Democrats are doing. If you are cool with that, then you are an issue and should second guess your own citizenship in this country because we the people are always first, no one else. Our government has forgotten that for quite some time, but amazingly Trump actually was bringing it back. Thats coming from someone who hated Trump, voted for Biden, and regretted my vote in March of Biden getting in office.

Aside from the fact that we need to protect our borders I would like to remind everybody that when I was a child we went into Venezuela as a military force we continue to go through all the South American countries either taking out directly the people that were voted into office and placing our own in there and then exploiting each country and now the Venezuela has come upon corporate entities who are literally starving them so badly that they’re going to the zoo and eating the animals it just seem unjustly criticized because you never hear about that side of it you just assume there’s Mexicans trying to cross the border as usual this is open my eyes

I totally get it, but they are looking for a better life. But they need to understand why America is the greatest country in the world. The problem with a lot of these people is that they would vote for the same policies in the same things that ruin their home country and they would vote for that here in America. If our country goes to ruins, there’s nowhere for anybody to run. They need to migrate here the legal way or no way at all. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. Our current administration wants them to come in droves from these third world socialist countries where they blindly re-elect tyrannical leaders. They protest against their policies and then re-elect them again. ?‍♀️ Our current administration and some state leaders have already stated they would move to allow illegal immigrants the right to vote. It’s a power grab to ensure they will maintain control. And seems they want to break down and overload our infrastructure where we will be dependent on government aid and then they can implement socialist policies to control the people. Nothing else makes sense for why they would be doing this. It’s not humanitarian, it’s causing chaos and allowing for criminals to flourish.

In fact there’s so many unused homes that exist in the United States that we could give every homeless person we have here a house and there would still be over a million houses empty. Canada’s biggest problem is it’s socialistic policies of the Liberal governments. Don’t confuse things: social programs like education and healthcare are not an exclusive marker of socialism. The balance of government interference in the economy IS. Nobody in their right mind would start a business in Canada today. \n\nSecondly, running a business means buy and resell, manufacture and sell leaving a profit. But the business of running Canada is losing money. The formula of running the country doesn’t work. We go deeper into debt every year, now to the point where it’s impossible to grow out of debt. As we allow massive immigration to counteract an aging, non-productive population, because of that negative formula, we just keep going deeper and deeper into debt. But it seems that most Canadians want that because we keep voting in the ‘robbers’. It’s time for Canadians to understand that soon a death tax will come in where all your asset value in taxes will go to the government. But that’s coming and is the only way for the government to pay down its debt.

We have a leader who seems to be deeply invested in shutting down our oil and gas industry. He shut down oil and gas. Which put hundreds of people out of work. Then he slapped us with a carbon tax. He told us the carbon tax dollars would be invested toward producing green energy projects and manufacturing jobs. So far, the Carbon tax went up again, he banned plastic straws, he’s hitting our farmers with heavy restrictions on fertilizer, because it’s not green enough. \nMany of our indigenous communities have been living for years with contaminated water. He promised he was going to ensure the indigenous communities have access to clean drinking water. He has not fulfilled that promise. \nHe’s bidding $30 billion dollars to hopefully sign a deal to manufacture electric car batteries for Volkswagen. \nHe’s investing in other projects, as well. Unfortunately, he’s only investing in eastern provinces. \nSo far, there has been no investments in western provinces yet. Many of the out of work oil and gas workers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are still waiting on the jobs they were promised. \nLow wages, high inflation, high taxes and high income housing is bringing a lot of us to our knees. \nOur leader is corrupt. It seems like every week there is another corrupt scandal he and his government are involved in. \nI can’t speak for every Canadian, but I can say with absolute certainty that a large number of us are sick and tired of our current leader. Most of us live with the hope that if our leader can get voted out. Canada may have a chance to go back to the way our beautiful country used to be.

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

During the 1930's media in various countries made immigrants and asylum seekers out to be this horrible thing and demonised them. This came after a huge recession in 1923, the Wall Street crash, and the subsequent dramatic rise of far right parties in various countries, specifically Italy, then Germany and Spain. \nFast-forward to modern times. 2008 saw another global recession. Once again politics swung massively to the right with countries like Italy (once again), Hungary, Austria, Poland and Sweden, voting in right wing governments, France ending in a run off that narrowly defeated the far right, Belgium and Spain looking likely to be heading into heavily right wing governments at the next elections, whilst the US and UK governments both saw their politics swinging far further in that direction, especially the UK right now whilst led by an unelected leader who is demonising people in ways that would make Trump look soft. One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

I watch the Congressional hearings with the director of Homeland Security repeatedly when asked if this was a problem he would not answer he would just diverting the question with statements that have nothing to do with the question asked.\nBut the one thing he kept repeating and making a point was that border patrol has apprehended countless numbers of Cuban and people from Venezuela and has denied entry into the United States she kept making the point of these two countries because he knows it's been especially and Venezuelans will definitely vote Republican because they come from communist socialist countries.\nIf I am wrong why would it be these were the two that he made the biggest point about just to let you know he also was talked about people from Haiti\nGo watch the videos of the hearing they were a joke

Why do we give Mexico millions of dollars for their military and policing. Obviously they are not using it for that. Mexico should be renamed to whatever the most powerful cartel is. The whole government is part of the billions made off of drug and human trafficking. The resorts that people all over the world go and enjoy are owned by cartels, and the Mexican government is in on it. That wall sure would be helpful now more than ever. The agreement to close Roxham Road was signed a year ago - why has it taken this long to enact that rule? Maybe the 45,000 refugees that have managed to cross in that one year were courtesy of the liberal government but housed and fed etc. at the expense of the Canadian taxpayer - so Turdeau could maybe buy himself some more votes down the line - except he won't be running the show by the time they would be eligible to vote!
