India's view is that Vienna convention gives them room to remove diplomatic immunity as India had requested parity and waited weeks for Canada to initiate action before removing immunity. An unanswered question in my mind then is that why does Canada think they will be able to get out of this difficult moment in a strained relationship with India while their diplomats portray India in a bad light with invalid, vindictive, and targeted messaging in diplomatic meetings they are doing with every friend country on earth. That's diplomatic flight with India is on. I think that is a wrong strategy by Canada and they should not bring up this topic with any country, absolutely not in the media, till India closes doors to discuss it. Whether India is right or wrong, this approach would make the difficult moment even more difficult bringing more sufferings to citizens on both sides. It is no brainer - more immigrants imminently return to home countries crashing Canada economy in many ways from education to whole supply-chain. India would also shunt economy growth. Both sides should get visionary egoless diplomats with open eyes, ears, and thinking minds to resolve.

I am 10th generation Canadian and plan on leaving one day too just not sure when and where to go. Affordability is not good, no special things for the long term generations that their whole family grew up here, nothing with banks, nothing with education, nothing to advance careers for myself or my children, non allied people getting in. I remember when there was stricter immigration laws. I remember when one man could support a whole family. I remember when citizens would walk on one side of the street and allow others to pass on the opposite side walking from the other direction on the streets as well as in the stores, when people had more courtesy. I remember when people could joke and not get offended, when people would stand up for one another. When a community was a community. When you could be Christian and not considered offensive. When it was safe to say bless you and not be told to shove it etc... when you did not have to witness riots on the streets and a people divided and it was not believers and non believers either as the non believers would still be peaceful in the past. It is much more than that now. Now it is you are white and racist, which I am far from but have been accused and am very baffled at that statement because never in my life would I in the past ever be accused of that. I am now like, wow what am I witnessing? I just feel something much greater is going to come, but not knowing when. ONe thing I fear is there will be an all out war and it will be whites or Christians being the target one day.

I would suggest demand based approach with some guard rails in place. For instance, I would require all educational institutions to provide housing for international student (at least 50%). Businesses should be required to provide accommodation to all temporary/seasonal workers on top of the minimum wage. In order to hire foreigners employers should be required to prove that he is paying enough to afford housing in the region (market cost of accommodation is less than 30% of salary). Accommodation for refugees should be secured before bringing them to the country from around the globe. No accommodation = no permits. It would limit demand and prevent wage suppression.

Its really bad in Canada right now. I can't visit any Gurudwara because all have turned into Khalistani haven. If you speak in favor of Bharat, they target you and even beat you up.
