As a Canadian I would moove to the States only to escape winter, probably somewhere in Florida, Texas or Cali. But honestly daily mass shooting occurances scare me away. As a Canadian I’d prefer my country adopted America’s approach to immigration, and I’m not alone.\n\nAs someone who has only ever voted Liberal or NDP, I’m likely to vote for the People’s Party Canada in the next election over the issue of immigration.\n\nIt’s as if you believe that both Canada and the US only exist to take Indian immigrants.\n\nNo H1B visa holder in the US is going to leave and come here lol. This country is now a south asian dumpster fire.

8:15 there’s a reason for this. It’s a melting pot in America. Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

This video is a joke with an agenda. If America let in people as easily as Canada did and in the same proportion to its population could it not end up having the same housing crisis? Besides that, the video pretends Canada is this amazingly superior place when it comes to immigration when the left wing government wants to bring people in in the hopes that they will mainly vote liberal. In America in the 2020 election which way certain states went (such as Pennsylvania) came down to immigration. People have done studies and found if they threw citizenship at certain people they'd be voting around 70% Democrat. Where the government sets these people up also determines election outcomes. I don't want to live in a country where the government values immigrants for voting purposes more than the native population. That is a subversion of democracy. Imagine being born in America and living there your entire life. There are politicians that feel no obligation to change your mind and win your vote. Instead they look at you and those like you as people that are to have to their votes negated/canceled out by forcing another amnesty of illegal immigrants. They would rather reward criminals for their crimes to win an election than actually make a case for electing them to law abiding American citizens.

Some things to factor in - 1). American immigrants become citizens. This isn't true for almost any of these other countries. 2). American immigrants are disproportionately low skill. This is true in plenty of these countries. 3). American immigrants disproportionately come from the same cultural sphere, which makes their size more intimidating. 4). A second generation immigrant is not considered an immigrant. These countries just began allowing mass immigration. Americans have been allowing mass immigration all of our history. Including second generation immigrants, you have an immigrant population closer to 35% of the US population, true or false? And more than half of them have the right to vote, to fundamentally alter our nation. \nThere's also no way Americans believe that more than half of the country are immigrants. Almost all immigrants in the US live in a few specific regions. Most Americans see very few immigrants throughout the year. Perhaps, it was offset by the number of Americans surveyed who do live in those specific regions. Surveys tend to prioritize diversity and weigh the opinions of particular groups differently. If they tended to call urban area codes more often, and weighed the votes in proportion to size of the population that each group makes up, then the people saying 50% in say New York or Washington state, which represent many different groups will offset the people saying 5% in Kansas, which are all getting grouped into the older, Whiter cohorts. Most Americans under 18 are non-White. \nOnly 15% of Americans under 18 should be non-White, if America were an ethnically stable nation. Thus, 38% of Americans are recent (post 1970s) immigrants.

I feel this administration knows these people voted in the person who ruined their country. Of course they would expect them to vote for another dishonest regime that sells them lies. Why people vote for a group who accuses others of evil while doing real evil at the same time beats the hell outta me. Vote for America because your American. I would never move to the USA, no way. It’s unsafe and too racist compared to Canada??,by far. You can walk around Toronto at any hour,the fifth largest city in North America and not worry about being robbed or beaten up. No murders, no crime, no looting. Everybody works. Some of the reasons Canada is voted the best Country in the world almost every year.

Hey Tyler...ask the question in reverse...see how many Americans would move to Canada....and I have a question for you, Why should I have to make a choice where I live, directly in response to gun violence and mass shootings, lousy uber expensive health care , discrimination, racism, bigotry, and hatred?...like I said in my 1st post, I lived in Cali. and Arkansas in the mid 80's, as different as environments can be...yet all of the same issues, just some more pronounced than others ( surprisingly, I saw and HEARD a lot more racism in Southern California than I did in Arkansas)....but now, in the 21st Century, the fact that politicians are actively trying (and in a lot of cases succeeding) to return the U.S. to the 1900 ( taking the vote away from minorities, especially blacks and native Americans), making women bend the knee to what men say and want them to do ( the reversal of Roe v Wade, 100% total bans on reproductive rights, and the restrictive, totalitarian, Nazi/fascist bans on the rights to choose who you want to be, how you want to be addressed, LGBTQ people and lifestyles) when I see this, hear the right-wing racist, elitist,MAGA, B.S., I wonder how ANY people in their right minds could want to live in 2023 America, the Land of the Lost !

There's a Home Depot across the street from where I work. Migrants go there hoping to get chosen by people who need a few men for work. In a month, it went from about 20 men to about a good 150 men just loitering in the parking lot. The police were called. Three SUV'S pulled in, and over the loud speaker telling them to leave the premises. As they were exiting, I told them, welcome to America. This is totally insane and must be stopped. If we don't get Trump back in office, it's gonna only get worse, exponentially. Republicans must keep hold on to the House of representatives, get the senate back and Trump back in office. When his term in office is over, vote for the Republican front runner and keep grasp on both chambers. Right now we have WW3 starring us right in the face. I’m an independent that usually votes Democrat, but the border should be a nonpartisan issue.\n\nAmerica is not like Europe. I totally get it, but they are looking for a better life. But they need to understand why America is the greatest country in the world. The problem with a lot of these people is that they would vote for the same policies in the same things that ruin their home country and they would vote for that here in America. If our country goes to ruins, there’s nowhere for anybody to run. They need to migrate here the legal way or no way at all. Most of them would work for five dollars a day that is going to drive the price of labor down.

i used to feel for these people i really did, then i started travelling to 3world countries and have learned that every misery they face in there is a result of their own culture/mindset and i started to have no mercy and today I am fully ‘MAGA and have no mercy for any of them. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. Before someone tells me something, like I say what they are doing is wrong and it’s painful to watch, something should not be happening in the first place but it is happening and I hope the situation gets better but like I say before saying something disrespectful or out of place to these people, understand their situation first

They all need to be vetted correctly. Stand in line and wait your turn and be ready to go back if your economic assylum doesnt pan out. Running from the cartel isn't really considered a true assylum.
