We are appalled and disgusted with the catastrophic damage that our government is causing to our dear allies, and it grieves us deeply that Putin is being treated with respect while we are literally stabbing our loyal, long-standing allies in the back. Trump told Canada if you did TWO THINGS, there would be no tariffs on Canada. One, stop illegal immigrants from pouring into the USA from Canada. Two, stop illegal drugs from coming into the USA from Canada. Did Trudeau comply with President Trump's request? If so, there must be a lack of communication to verify what has transpired. If not, then Trump imposed tariffs for lack of compliance. Now, if Canada has already complied yet the Trump admin imposed tariffs anyway, then that is a slap in the face to our neighbors to the north and the American people should be outraged and let Trump know it.

I have voted for Trump 3 times. Canada has over charged the USA through tariffs for years. I know you will miss the money but just suck it up like we have had to do. Everyone thinks that this is Canada standing up, but what this means is that the Canadians with our economy that is 1/10 that of the US will be taxed at 25% on our imports, this is going to hurt canadians way more than the retaliatory terrifs will hurt the americans. I'm Canadian. And in my 50s. We've always tended to joke back and forth about stereotypes from our countries. I've always felt we looked up to American ideals ideas and this is why we felt strong to stand with America with many things. I've sometimes not been happy with our Prime Minister but he left a mark, and I'm proud our country is more united but I'm sad at what cost. I hope this is short lived..
