There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. Normally I'd turn my nose up at having to vote Liberal, but I am so, so sick of the brand of empty populism Trump stands for that it looks like that's what I'm gonna be doing come election time.

Oh America why did you vote for Donald Trump. Now I'm afraid Canada will close the boarder to Americans just like the other countries that does not want American tourists. America will be the most hated country very soon. Hate to be an American right now?

WE will NOT help any of you who caused this & this includes every MSM who is too afraid to speak truth to power. Start doing that NOW. Start with THIS: It's called The Gulf of Mexico, NOT the Gulf of America. Eff every Trump supporters & GOP politician--at EVERY level of government. Trump can TRY to hide what he's doing to the economy in his stupid reports. Do you honestly believe the average American pays attention to those? It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses. Our country is in the hands of a madman along with Musk and other cowardly Republicans who are in office. 1/2: Myself and the saner half of the US that read, understood, and voted against Proj 2025 understands why they need to levy retaliatory tariffs especially as a Michigander who's lived less than 4 hours from Canada all her life, who has family in Quebec and Ontario, and is a job-seeking policy professional and international trade nerd who now cannot in good faith seek a job in the federal government. We have been looking and still do look to Canada as a model quite a bit and love Canada and Canadians to pieces. We Michiganders especially in the central and eastern UP and Detroit and Ann Arbor area are friends, coworkers, and family of Canadians. Some are even dual citizens.
