I am so proud of Canadians and their leaders. The kindest most civilized people on this planet and certainly don’t deserve any of this.That is how a leader speaks. Trump is selling America out to Putin and with his stupid tariffs will destroy American economy. Trump and his stooges and sycophants must be defeated in the most convincing manner before America will return to normal. Horrific times

You have more to worry about Russia/China threatening US/Canada in the waters around Alaska. We need to work with Canada on national security. This is crazy. President Trump, what are you hiding? Why are you doing this? You owe this to Americans and Canadians and Mexico.

As a Washington State resident, I have always and continue to love and respect our Canadian neighbors. This US fake president is a liar and shameful embarrassment to Americans. Mr. Trudeau is pulling his country together as trump is tearing our country apart.

I did not vote for Trump but I am a shame that Trump is president. Trump purposely destroying Biden’s “Build Back Better” he aligned with Putin. Trump staff Is part of Project 2025. These are the people who wanted a tax break, on the backs of the American people. Prime Minister Trudeau is not our enemy and I accept what he is forced for the Canadian people. We need to vote wisely to end Trump’s dictatorship and there will be 3 seats up in Congress in April.

This guy is so weak. Don't he know that we Americans don't need Canada to survive. We are Americans not Canadians we vote for Trump not this dude. He should only address the Citizens of Canada. I come from a long line of Canadian’s, I’m not a fan of Trudeau but I have to say he made me proud today standing up to the school yard bully. I know most Americans don’t support what Trump is doing because as Canadian and Americans we are decent hard working people who don’t need a government that doesn’t speak for the people God bless us all the world needs to find a way for peace our children and grandchildren deserve better.

I will still buy Canadian products. If I can pay more for eggs, I can buy the wonderful produce and other products from Canada. This really is a dumb thing Trump has done. I hope something happens to undo what has happened.

Trudeau is a WEF puppet. A tariff war between Canada and the U.S. is ridiculous to begin with, and it will certainly have negative consequences for the U.S., but much more so for Canada. Let's face it, the U.S. internal market is several times that of Canada. Many businesses in Canada exist only because of their trade with the U.S. The same is not true for the U.S. Trudeau can paint whatever picture he wants to Canadians, but the Trump administration is not made of fools and they are very much aware of the reasons they have for having enforced the tariffs.

I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!

In a best case scenario, DJT will rescind the tariffs on Canadian goods. In the worst case, we get even poorer. If this happened after Trump became president the first time, the economy was strong from 4 years of Obama's presidency. Then COVID happened, and for alot of folks here, they haven't recovered financially. Savings and retirement plans are gone. Rent is higher, for many it takes over 50% of their income. So in this emergency time, there's nothing to fall back on. Oh and DOGE will cut SNAP benefits, I'm sure. That's food stamps, meant for the people struggling. It's becoming more and more of Americans. \nAm I depressed? No, I lived through Reagan's presidency. I'm cautious about life, my job, commuting to work, putting food on the table. I'm gonna try growing veggies. I already eat 75% of my meals at home or taken from home-cooked meals. I'm saving as best I can.

Truedeau as can only blister his finger on a hot stove. HE is absolutely NO threat to President Trump. He’s so limp. He’s hurt Canadians more than Trump. And no you cannot talk to Americans. We listen to our President. He can’t fix his own problems yet he wants to preach to Americans.

Why is it so difficult for the Canadian government to stop cooperating with the CCP and end all transaction and trade of fentanyl? Why does the Canadian people need to pay the price for the greed and stupidity of this irresponsible government? Which politician is benefiting from the fentanyl deal? When Canadian politicians are in bed long enough with the CCP, they will work for this communist regime and not for the Canadian people. Trump is certainly looking out for the American people, who is Trudeau looking out for?

Canadian here and i was just hoping he wasn't gonna just roll over to Trump and I'm so glad he didn't nor do I understand him claiming we're the ones bringing the fent. I knew that was bulls**t. Canada just needs to fix the trade deficit with the United States. If Trudeau does, the U.S. tariffs would not happen. Canada has turned a deaf ear when the U.S. requested a fair trading partner and less deficits in the past decades. Trump was obligated to put a tariff on Canadian goods entering the U.S. since Canada did not resolve the problem.

They didn’t play the clip where the Prime Minister says these tariffs are about destroying the Canadian economy so Trump can annex Canada. He is speaking the truth. Trump needs to be removed!

as a Canadian, i would like to thank Donald and Elon for their plans to implement the most innovative degrowth agenda imaginable. why dance around the edges like Canada has with its consumer carbon tax that rebated more money to most citizens than they spent on carbon taxes ? no, the DOGE solution to addressing climate change is much better .. just cripple the three north american economies with tariffs, put hundreds of thousands of citizens out of work, and make the Trump tax cuts permanent so that the federal government is broke as well. no more money means no more spending or consuming .. it's a win for the entire planet !!
