They suppy the mexican cartels these drugs to make and sell which comes across Mexican borders into the US. If china regulated the precursor drugs it could stop fentanyl manufacturing in its tracks. Again 10% tariffs vs 25% tariff. There was a time that china cooperated & worked with the US on this but have since stopped.\nSo whatever is going on with the trump administration, it's clear by the numbers this isn't about fentanyl with Canada. Canada just needs to fix the trade deficit with the United States. If Trudeau does, the U.S. tariffs would not happen. Canada has turned a deaf ear when the U.S. requested a fair trading partner and less deficits in the past decades. Trump was obligated to put a tariff on Canadian goods entering the U.S. since Canada did not resolve the problem.

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption.
