Absolutely right, all the points are true. One thing really bad is this so called free health care. I waited 3 months to see a doctor for my prostrate infection. An ear infection for soo many weeks to see a specialist. At last i went to India, it took 4 hours, I finished consultation, related tests, diagnosis and treatment. State of the art hospital. I paid a fees . My pain is not more important than money. I left Canada years ago and haven't looked back - the taxation is over the top! Not to mention the simple joy of going out to eat/drink, then you need to add taxes (3 of them!) + tip! First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. If someone is considering coming to Canada, especially recently, consider this..... The cost of living is high, the cost to buy a house is out of reach for many Canadians, taxes are many and high, government regulations are many, the present Liberal Trudeau government is not Liberal but it is a fascist/authoritarian government, many police are brutal and arrest and imprison people for protesting peacefully, they have fined, arrested and imprisoned Pastors for conducting church service and feeding the homeless, the Canadian dollar is low with less buying power, inflation is high, there has never been such high government debt, the government can order the banks to freeze your money, it is cold, opportunity is not that available, racial discrimination is here and by the government (i am Caucasian), the country is in such debt that we can go broke and the dollar further devalued. Corrupt money laundering is almost accepted by officials. There are better countries to immigrate than to Canada.

Both my parents immigrated from Europe so I can relate to many of the comments.\nSo, what I see is that Canada is a country of mostly heavy industry which often requires people to live in rural, remote, isolated communities. Canada is a big country so transportation is a significant part of it's economic foundation. Most people do not come here wanting to live up north or drive a commercial truck. They want to live in a big city and have a professional job.\nClearly the government has done a poor job of conveying what is needed (Trudeau is pretty clueless to be honest).\nIf you want to be in demand go rural and go north.

My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves for this disgusting action as this is a time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Trudeau is a total embarrassment to all Canadians. Trudeau going to have to establish a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program in Canada now - people don't realize there is probably thousands like her scattered across the country mostly in the major cities. They all want similar relief from potentially being deported if they are caught. I have no problem giving it to them since most of them are young but I would enforce the condition that they have to resettle in Manitoba, Northern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces - areas in Canada experiencing population decline, aging demographics and high job vacancy numbers. We don't need people who didn't follow the rules further overcrowding cities like Toronto and Vancouver where the cost of living is rising every year.
