the 70,000 students were coming in illegally i believe, 70k out of 1million+ that have come per year isn't so bad. I blame this whole situation 100% on the government and it totally does suck that these 70k people coming in are going to be deported but again there were and are so much scams that have been going on. If they lied and cheated on the system i don't think we should feel bad. Canada used to have higher standards. My family obviously are immigrant too but there has been no background checks, no proper procedure in the last few years and 2 races have been getting preferential treatment. Most if not all people that come in from Africa are left on the streets while the your country men, indian, and white looking are given a free house, food budget, and dont have to work.. We paying more for taxes and the government has increased work force by 40% yet wait time for services has trippled 3X, make it make sense.

Somebody doesn’t have to be smart to understand it. I was going to catch the train, I have to walk 2 blocks, if on the street, 60 people were walking, 53 maybe were Indians. What do you expect. Inside the train, you can think you are in India. When they are the phone, they are very loud, last time one was sitting on a 3 places sit, he sat at center , on each side his belongings.

I just came back from a camping trip at Peter Lougheed Provincial Park last week. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Canada is one of the best countries, I agree there are few downfalls, but on the other hand you can’t even in judge a book by just looking at it’s cover. If you are well educated, this country is the best to live in. Canada has already made their immigration policies stern, and are not welcoming everyone now. Do you think Indian politicians are doing good to keep India safe according to their duties? Don’t you think India has a drug problem too? Apply for a visa and come here, you’ll see many people settled, enjoying their life here. People have to face struggles when you move to a new country, it takes time. Canada in one of the most diverse country, go to a school here, they celebrate and acknowledge different cultures and teach about them. I think Indian are well settled and living luxurious life here.

I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

I came in June as a international student to Canada from a south east asian country, I came to Canada hoping to experience social values of a developed nation, but now I feels like I have come to India instead of Canada.. 97% of the classes filled with indians, acting like Indians.. most of them are unable to communicate in english and have no respect to social values. All the international students who comes from other countries have to go through various kinds of discriminations.. In future, I think, the Canadian government should ask for a Panjabi language certificate, instead of the IELTS. Because, english is the least used language in class rooms.

I’m Canadian Indian and I noticed Indians from India have very low consciousness and they lack a lot of common sense. If anyone travelled to India, it’s a sh*t show there. They bring their BS stunts to Canada and think they can show their low IQ behaviours here.

It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. Understand that Education system has become a business these days. Do you think that Indian students come to Canada by spending 10 times more for education, because they learn some great techniques or lessons? It is only with the hope that after the education they can get a high paying job in Canada. Indian education system is far better than Canada's. In fact Canadian universities badly need these students, else they may not be able to pay salaries to their professors or universities will shut down. So after these students came here by taking high loans, now you change the rule/law is giving hard time to these students. You guys attract these students by showing them hope. This world is so closely connected and it can not be operated by rules. You need to understand the reality and work with empathy.

I think if we take the racism card off the table and think about these issues colour blind we might make more progress. Thank you for your proper thinking on this issue. I think the law enforcement should start giving people who are breaking the law more punishment when caught. There is no excuse for some of these very bad things being done. I don't want anyone to be arrested because they are Indian... or from any other background. If someone is pooping on a beach, or breaking the laws, they are criminals and should be punished. I have nothing against anyone who wants to be a positive part of Canada. I like anyone who is respectful and kind. But I do not like criminals, and I think criminals should be punished when caught.

I don't think most Canadians would have a problem with Indians in Canada if the number of them here was smaller. Large groups of people in a society who have or are perceived as having close affinity to each other and limited affinity to the society at large will provoke suspicion and resentment, it has happened again and again in history.

I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! These Western countries including USA and Canada are more kind to illegal immigrants who cross their borders illegally from Mexico, central and South America but very harsh on Indian Students. Now Europe in its entirety looks almost like another Middle East country with loss of its own identity and culture. My question to Canadian government is why do you want to treat Indian students who invested in your country’s economy as colonists ? Why do you treat Indian students who helped your economy with their money worse than illegal immigrants who cross your borders bringing nothing but their families ? I don't think we can keep this many newcomers happy. It's overwhelming. I understand how they are drawn to work here, as they can return home after a few years and live extremely well from the exchange. Most Indians earn maybe $10 a day in India. Just a guess.

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter.
