Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness. Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre and like-minded politicians could fix it all.\n\nHappily, here in the US, the conservative movement is growing and energized. Once-liberal, especially ‘minority,’ voters are understanding how little the left really offers in the long run, and are switching sides. They’ll be voting for Trump in November.

I really don’t understand why That lady asking questions does not Tell that guy .what was Hamas thinking ? This people dont have any right on that land what so ever.\nFor those who don't understand history: everyone knows that Jesus was a Jew and that was about 2000 years ago, right? The year is currently 2024 for..the birth of Jesus. So it is clear that the Land of Israel belonged to the Jews. There were no Palestinians, in fact until the British returned this name at the beginning of their occupation of the Land of Israel in 1917. This name Palestinians was forgotten and no one asked for the Land of Israel. Except the Jews of course. But knowing facts and really researching history requires energy, intelligence and inner truth that is much more than clicking on the screen and watching a short YouTube clip. It is best for people living in Gaza to get a plane ticket and start a good life in the various Arab countries, rich Sunni countries. Saudi Arabia, Gulf States. They will have a good life and they will have safe children on a land that they do not steal from a poor and persecuted people like Israel who finally got their home back. They have suffered enough, much more than any short and unnecessary suffering of a national invention for the purpose of enriching mafia heads and exploiting poor Muslims for this under the banner of Islam. This is exactly what Hamas and all terrorist organizations do. Hezbollah - drug dealers and the cancer of Lebanon. Hamas mafia and extortion of Gaza. Whoever manages to read all of this is a thinking person, so there is a chance that he will also be able to detect the lie. Who here dares to think?

why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. But not trying to impose your practices in other countries. \nThis is the problem today for any person with Islam background tries to run way from their own country where you can pray 5 times without any issues but trying to show case that the same is not available in other country where you move for better life and bread and butter. \n\nIf I have to say reasons, I will never bring religion and religious practices as a reason for moving out. Because I will keep those things between 4 walls. Once I am out side of my house, I fee any other person is just a human. \n\nFirst of all don't give high value to religion. Religion is part of life but religion should not be life. If educated people like you think in this way , Imagine what others will think. \n\nSo my suggestion is religion is good to follow. but don't make religion as important beyond life. It will neither brings close to god or nor close to a neighbor who is of different religion. It can be any religion per say.\n\nIf you kids should be like kids, then teach them life, not religion. It should be a tiny part of their life but should not be their life. \nAlso think twice why there is hate spread against muslims. There are many more religions are there around the world. Why only Muslims are being hated highly across the world? - You have to ask this question yourself. Sure you will find better answer and reasons for the same. \n\nLast but not least all these are friendly suggestion. Neither I hate any religion nor I love only one and most of my comments are generic and applies to any religion.

To Americans / Westerners here in the comments that have never been to the Middle East, or to those who had ZERO idea how educated most Arabs are—whether in Arabic or English—I just want you to realize that it is cultural programming that you are currently overcoming. The notions you were forced to believe by a biased media (& Hollywood movies) to think that all Arabs sound like Borat or have some weird terror tendency. \n\nAll of that nonsense, all of that propaganda, was crafted to serve a careful agenda. A dehumanization agenda whose purpose you can finally unravel and understand. We are owned by an invisible hand serving both a powerful entertainment industry & military complex. It is one entity (that also ties into finance) and it feeds you the information it wants to. There are many such deprogramming wake up calls you’ll have when escaping the bubble. One way I did this was with my travels to Muslim countries. Including: UAE (2015), Morocco (2017), Iraq (2023), and Saudi Arabia (2022) for Hajj.

Canada is one of the few places where freedom of choice is always respected. Therefore, if you both choose to leave Canada with your children, that is understandable and respected.\n\nBeyond that, all I can add as an analogy to your reasons of leaving is that Canada is like a beautiful garden with diversity of flowers, fauna, fragrence and yes, some thorns. Too bad, that all your reasons are focusing on the thorns in the garden.\n\nGood luck in your endeavors.

I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

As a born and raised Canadian I made the decision to flee my homeland of 42 years the moment that the current regime came to power in 2015. I ended a highly successful, well-paid 20+ year career, sold everything I owned and was gone within six months. I am not a religious person, so that did not factor into my decision, though I knew what was coming since I had lived for years as a member of a minority that was constantly demonized by former Liberal rulers for decades.\n\nI completely understand your reasons for leaving and wish you all the best. Canada was a great place to grow up in and I wouldn't trade that experience for the world, but to say that it is now going through a process of state-funded and engineered societal decay would be an extreme understatement. It breaks my heart to see what's become of my once wonderful nation, but I've resolved to treat it like a deceased parent who lives on in fond memories, but is never coming back.\n\nI hope you find the ideal sanctuary for you and your children away from the madness plaguing the world these days and I am eager to see where your journey takes you. I wish i could muslim country too and enjoy all the privileges i have. I am a a Queer muslim and it was not easy. I am very appreciative of the opportunity that is given to me in the west and not being judged at a work place how i may appear. I am glad you made this video and making the best decision for your family. Even as queer peeson i am supporting drag queen story tiem but you made it sound like it is happening every library and every where. I only read it in news paper and never actually saw it in reality. Seems like no matter who the Caucasian person is it’s like they want Israel. To have what is not there’s all of Palistine it is like they are saying …The Israelis are Caucasians and we are Caucasians. I am an American Christian, and you seem like such a lovely couple. I lived in England with two babies 1980nand I felt culture shock, so I feel compassion for how you feel living in Canada. I also attended University 4 years, NY near the Canadian border (30 deg below zero Fahrenheit in winters) so I understand how the extreme cold is hard to live through.Most of all, the Western world culture is beginning to push beliefs which even Christians can't tolerate. Hello Saleh Family, I am not a Muslim and never understand why people from Muslim countries decide to move to Canada. You knew well in advance Canada has winter, no Muslim culture and environment, no Arabic language, hijab is not welcomed, etc, etc. Why not to stay at Palestine where you came from, why not to move to countries with same weather, same religion, same culture, same language, be a Muslim majority at countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia which is next door to country you born. Please clarify what the point

I like what she says about her grandchildren, in future years, may have to leave wherever they go now… alluding to the possibility (I believe) that perhaps there is no permanently perfect place… I can understand how they would appreciate living somewhere where the daily prayers are announced 5 times daily over loudspeaker. I often feel so very isolated in myself in MY way of life here in Canada (which doesn’t happen to be as a Muslim). After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. Canada is seen as “a land of dreams” by many, but it depends on what our dreams are, for real. For instance, what were many immigrants hoping for when they fled Europe after World War II? This family is telling us what they dream for their family, and Canada is not a good fit for what they value.

I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

Respecting people's rights to choose what they believe and practice - but saddened that so many people\nfollow religions and do not truly research the symbolism, the history, the connections - no one should \nbe attacked for wearing a head covering etc - at the same time Muslims, like many other religious\ngroups just follow what the leaders say - and - if they truly researched they would find out that \nfollowing men and clerics is not wise and not even what our Creator wants for us.\n\nI was raised in a large world wide accessible religion - then, when I saw and heard things that\ndid not add up - I prayed for truth and then pro-actively researched - I compared the teachings\nof that religion from materials with in and from out with - and drew my conclusions - I also\nbeleive that I was led to find some very useful information not of myself - I learned enough\nto make an informed decision to leave that religion. My journey after that has not been an\neasy one as there is a lot of conflicting information and factions in this world - but over time\nmy original decision has been re-enforced by facts - I also came across the origins of Islam\nand who controls it - and that would be a surprise to many - and likewise would surprise\nother people in other religions ( including the popular New Age / Eastern Mystic religions)\nare all run by the same group world wide - and The New Age / Eastern Mysticism have\nbeen marketed as some kind of non religious freedom - but are, in fact religions with\ndogmas and leaders.\n\nThe Truth has set me free - I continue to study and to have faith alone in our Creator alone\nand I try to continue to learn what I can about the world and about spiritual things - to aid\nmy understanding and discernment. May more people seek truth for themselves, stop\nblindly following men and traditions and actively study and research from a rounded\nperspective. Best Wishes.

Even though gibril did the same thing ,denied the prophet before him !!!  do you see how emotionally involved they are they can't see it ?? \n\n1,John 4 \n Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. \n\nDid  Mohamed and Joseph test the spirits?? \nAnd the only way to test a spirit is make sure he is consistent with the gospels and prophets before them, Christians have a reason not to believe jibril of the quran and Angel Moroni ,what reason to Muslims have not to believe in Joseph smith,  and Angel spoke and they don't test them ,so tbey should be Mormons?\n\n     GOD BLESS, jesus is Lord , pray stay calm and ask God to open your heart if what I'm saying is true so you can see it .\nIf you are wrong and Jesus is Son of God at least on the day of judgment you can say in your defence ,I asked you for a sign and never got it ,its a good plan to cover yourself .. \n\nMuslims ask yourselves honestly, what's more reasonable to assume,  that God fooled his disciples and millions of people, by switching Jesus on the cross, \n\nor Mohamed  like Joseph Smith , failed to test the spirit to see if it was from God , or Satan ???

I was born here and im 72 yrs old. I love my country but i dont even recognize it from 25 yrs ago. Its like waking up in a night mare that just keeps getting worse. It breaks my heart to see this country turn into a 3rd world sh t hole. I fully understand why you would want to leave. I just stumbled upon you guy's channel by accident, because we are looking to move out of our country as well and Canada was actually a possible option. (not likely now) \n\nI am not muslim, I am just a regular western white girl, with priveleges I never knew I had until a few years ago, and looking at the world with increasing disgust and sadness. \nI completely understand why you'd want to move away from there, and even though I am not muslim, some of the points mentioned here are also reasons we want to leave where we are now (Netherlands). \nSociety is falling apart, people pointing fingers, our government is a ****show and puts the entire world's needs before taking care of our own problems. I am from India, i don't understand why developed countries have so much issues with multicultural society? They are more educated ans should understand and accept everyone. Here in India i don't think anyone is treated like this ??.

As an atheist I wish you all the best, it's true the political games destroying the West from within. Sorry, I still love Canada, look at what is going on around the world, and quite fine to be here, Most industrialized countries are expensive to live in, no matter where you’re at today, inflation, high accommodation rates, and food increases, are everywhere. Maybe we’re just lucky, but our healthcare around us is quite good, and when I compare to what people pay in the United States for healthcare premiums for average to decent healthcare. It’s a bargain. Never understand people crying about the weather who immigrate here, for Gosh sakes, you moved to a northern climate. What do you expect? Do you really expect the world climate to change for you and to be more like the southern hemisphere country you came from? Weather doesn’t work that way. Why did people leave their original country if they were just so wonderful in the first place? A ton of political instability where they came from and few jobs.

I don't understand why strict islam believers choose non islamic countries to settle in. There are so many countries in middle east, feels like half the countries have a muslim majority. Why not be comfortable living there. At the end of the day it is important to feel safe and also have a sense of belonging to where u settle down. How can a muslim ever feel that when prayers over loudspeakers are also banned. I feel like many muslims dont value their religion enough to settle in a muslim country and then when they face backlash in non-muslim country they start behaving like a victim. One cannot expect to be in an entirely different cultural environment and still force a different culture to their children. It restricts the children from integrating well in the country. When a parent from a different culture decides to raise children in a country which have a different culture, it is obvious that children will be exposed to this other culture. If that is not okay to parents, then they should not do children in a different country but rather in a country where they are blessed with their own culture. There is a choice for most people, and I am glad that you all chose it. Its beautiful to see people living in peace and in harmony with their religion. I love watching you all and hopefully you are able to encourage more muslims to choose an Islamic country to settle in, rather than being victims or having to fight in Non- Islamic countries due to western influence. I have been living in Canada for over 20 years now, staying in Mississauga & not sure about the druggies everywhere statement, may be true about downtown TO. We also have a strong muslim community around us, ofc azaan five times a day and access to pray easily I do understand is missing here as in any non muslim country of the world. There are a lot of halal food options here now..esp in the past few years. Regardless of where you stay, it is my belief that you carry your deen with you, its a way of life and can be practised & taught to children in any part of the world. I do get the point about winters, but then summers are harsh in alot of countries like the Middle East & ppl stay mostly indoors. To each their own & I wish you the best in your decision! ❤

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

As a native Canadian I totally understand your stand on winter and inflation. As a native Canadian I think we don't inform immigrants and outsiders that winter climate does to alot of people. There is a seasonal affective disorder (very prevelent) in my father's family and even my mother unfailing optimism get's like you fatigue at the very least. Kids love winter but yes as a adult or even a teen many people retreat and feel isolated. As for inflation, I do hope you find a country where the gouvernement(s) aren't denying the insanity that is going on. To be honest, after centuries of being a Quebec native, I have fantasized very heavily about moving myself because even with a good salary things each year since Covid-19 have become just terribly expensive and it affect primarily basic shelter and food needs. While your reasons for moving are very understandable and commendable, I also get a feeling of hopelessness when I hear that western countries are becoming hostile environments for practicing Muslims. I moved to Europe from Pakistan and I am constantly in a conundrum of whether I would want to settle here permanently. On one hand, the cultural differences here means that I will probably always feel like an outsider in this society and will always have to work harder to be able to practice my religion freely and to find a good community around me. On the other hand, because of Pakistan's economic situation, going back means constantly living under the threat of financial insecurity and a plethora of other problems such as a corrupt justice system, a weak passport etc. Not to even take into account that the average Pakistani society is just Muslim by name and not in actual practice. So it feels like there isn't any clear options and you just have to weigh the pros and cons of each situation. But I would warn you that while it's easy to say that you want to live in a Muslim country, the reality is hardly as idyllic. Its easy to play the azan in a mall but it's difficult to create a society that actually adheres to and values Islamic principles, and in Pakistan's case I don't think such a society exists. You would also find that many Muslim countries' leaderships have supported tyrannical regimes and nobody's hands are actually clean. It's a complicated decision but I hope you find a situation that works for your family.

Assalamualaikum guys! I have been following your channel for awhile and as a Muslim living in Toronto, I definitely understand the reasons you mentioned in the video. One suggestion I have is not to move to the Middle East, at least to Gulf Nations. There is indeed a strong Muslim presence there but I found it deeply problematic how these countries are run by the exploitation of migrant workers, and I'm not sure if that would align with your values. I think somewhere like Malaysia would be a much better option!

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. You should do what is best for your family. But I don't really understand your first reason. As much as Western countries are complicit in what is happening, so are many Muslim countries like UAE, Saudi, Bahrain. And I assume you are definitely planning to move to one of the countries in the Gulf. Leaving aside the government, I have seen more support for the Palestinian cause among the general population in the West that in my whole life in a Middle East country. I was born and brought up in the Middle East. I learnt more about the Palestinian cause infact living in a Western country now. Living in a gulf country, I have infact seen less regards for the underprivileged amongst my Arab friends that I see amongst western people. It is true I am a good Muslim living in a Middle East country, but I realise I am a better human being because I live now in a Western country.
