I hope EU will be also that smart and strong when Trump will set the tariffs here. I mean with words and actions, like in this polite but also strong and honest speech. We are with you and also Mexico and I hope we will become closer allies than we already are! We need each other in this hard times against russia and it seems also against trump.

Normal people have more in common than most believe. American, russian, european, chinese... Stop using words such as friends and allies. The US have chosen to established allies with Russia and abandoned Canada, Mexico, the EU, and NATO. Ditch the US. Couldn't make the March Forth rally today, took down by a migraine. I see a LOT of emotions here in the comments from people who like to tout where they're from for some really weird reason. I imagine to represent the soap box they stand upon. I find it ironic people are giving underhanded insults to Donald Trump by comparing how Trudeau speaks, yet I can almost guarantee those same people brag about how they refuse to listen to a word Donald Trump says. So its a really silly way to try to insult someone. Also just checked some of my stocks daily returns. Up over 2%. So he was wrong within the first 10 minutes. I suspect the market will become more bullish as some of the companies that have made deals to create factories in the US complete them and start churning out products made locally.

I think we have cheaper alternatives in the US. How about 50%. As long as we have 250% tariffs on American goods, I say keep going. We need reciprocal trade and need to fix the border issues also. We lose so many to the fentanyl. Canada needs to make its military contributions also. We don’t need the bs words from this bs guy. Some better leadership can still fix this but when I hear boycotts, I start checking labels also.

Like the vast majority of Americans, may you know that my husband and I feel the same way as you, Prime Minister Trudeau! We are appalled and disgusted with the catastrophic damage that our government is causing to our dear allies, and it grieves us deeply that Putin is being treated with respect while we are literally stabbing our loyal, long-standing allies in the back. Great, unambiguous words by the Canadian president! But one of his remarks stood out: he said that the tyrants want to divide us. He is correct, of course. But the implications are profound! This means that Trudeau himself is measuring his words and deliberately using diplomatic language. He even says that Trump is “intelligent”, which only plays into the imbecile’s unfortunate NPD psychology! The unwillingness to stand strong against American tyranny is harming democracy worldwide! Force Trump to declare a side! And make him choose Putin or democracy NOW!! If you fail to do that, you are taking the path of accommodation, and if Trump is really a tyrant (which he surely is, because of MANY evidences!!), democratic countries weaken their position by not standing strong NOW. If Europe and Canada and Mexico ban Tesla imports and place 50% tariffs on tens of billions of dollars of American products, what would happen? Are these countries AFRAID of the United States? If this were just about Trump then it would be easy to ignore. But of the 244m eligible US voters, 77m voted for Trump to appease Putin and sell out their friends; 88m couldn't be bothered to vote at all.
