MashaAllah, u guys r such an amazing couples and parents. I know this is not an easy decision, but Allah is with u and I really stand and look up to u. Every parent knows what is best for their children and families. I live in Pakistan 2. Me and my brother were born in US to Pakistani parents. My mom didn't want to leave US but my dad said there is no religious environment there plus our whole family lives in Pakistan and didn't want us to grow there. Our apartment owner who was Christian was not letting us go. He said that u guys r such an amazing people, good Muslims, nice to everyone and take Care for everyone. It was really hard for both of my parents but Allah made it easy for us. My mom passed away when I was 18 and my brother 15 and I really miss her. My option is u can guys move to Pakistan. U can get Islamic education + Islamic environment. No matter how bad our politics, government doesn't care about Its own country and no cleanliness but I still love Pakistan. I really respect you guys for making such a hardest decision with strength. I really support you guys with this decision. Just don't mind I was just giving an advice that Pakistan is way better but it is totally up to u guys which country u like to make your better life. But where ever u guys go, u are all always in my prayers even our brothers and sisters in Gaza. May Allah bless u all with his blessings, protect your family from evil eyes, fill your life with joy, happiness,love and peace and May Allah make this journey and life easy for u and hereafter. ❤ Your family and especially your little kids

Salam ?? I'm happy for you. Do whatever is best for your family. My father-in-law was born and raised in the states, remarried and moved to Malaysia. If his opinion was the one to go by, Malaysia is to be ranked as the best country in the world. It has everything you would want according to your list of why you're leaving Canada: warm weather; affordable; Muslim nation; doesn't support israehell. I live in Michigan. I hate it here for the exact same reasons you outlined. I have literally never traveled outside of Michigan EVER due mostly to fear and anxiety of traveling. So the idea of MOVING is almost impossible due to fear and anxiety alone. I have a question, what about extended family? Won't you miss them, or are they tagging along? Salam and good luck ??

We were born in Sweden to Pakistani parents. My late father made the hard decision to move our entire family to Pakistan so that we could receive Islamic education and be in an Islamic environment. Despite having lived alone abroad throughout his life, his sole purpose was to provide us with the best education possible. Alhamdulillah, I am now a Hafize Quran, well-versed in the knowledge of the deen, and currently working in Sweden once again. So, I wish all of you the best on your journey. Nobody cares if new or old immigrants are leaving Canada. It doesn’t matter nor does it show the real importance to our cost of living crisis. What everyone needs to look at is the fact that Canadian born citizens are leaving Canada in the highest numbers ever recorded. We are the backbone of this country. Not the immigrants.

Canada is not a prosperous country for any individual, no matter if you immigrated or were born here. High taxes, mismanagement from all levels of Government has severely impacted the quality of life of every person living in Canada. When a mass evacuation of Canadians is at it's highest in 73 years than something is amiss. Sad but it is Canada's reality, it's no longer the country it once was.

All western financial systems are due a heavy crash they can not keep up with such vast amounts of people coming in and as in Europe the vast mass of illegals who can not work sucking up the benefits system raises taxes and demand for housing is shooting prices up. \nThe western governments went into money printing mode that creates inflation raising prices on every day goods and foods this can not be sustained for much longer before it all comes crashing down, This also affects places in schools and medical wait times with more people flooding in to the point in the UK where i live you can be waiting up to 5 hours for an ambulance and 3-6 months for an operation.\n25 years ago you could get a 2 bedroom house here for around 25k now you are looking around 150k-250k the kids born here have no chance of owning a home and most end up staying with parents up to their 30s-40s, Even private landlords are under threat from government buyouts that end up housing migrants and not our citizens its a real mess that has no signs of slowing.

What sick notion is that. Every Palestinian has the right To live on that land with dignity and respect. Did we forget Nabi Esa (AS) (Prophet Jesus) is Palestine born in Jerusalem.

Symptomatic of Canada is the fact that on average Government employees earn 20% more than those in equivalent jobs in the private sector, they retire will fully indexed pensions equivalent to their 3 highest salary years (private sector employees must pay for their own pension or try and live off the universal pension of $1,200 per month from CPP), their benefits and vacation time are unmatched by the private sector. It is workers in the private sector and the companies that employ them who pay all the taxes required to compensate the most overpaid and bloated government service in the world. As a result, Canada's private sector is no longer competitive. It is a country where parents no longer encourage their children to find a high pay job in the private sector, they instead encourage their children to either move to the USA (if they're ambitious) or secure a government sector job. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH CANADA. and God help you if you're born in Canada as a Caucasian Make your change of securing one of these high paying government jobs is close to zero.

If you were born in Canada and lived here all your life, things don't look good anymore. If you are immigrating from a 3rd world country, this is still heaven. Like most Westerners, Canadians are spoiled in manyy ways. So as soon as something gets bellow their expectations, they start crying, and complainig. For newcomers, this is not an issue because no matter how 'bad' Canada is, it's still better than the place they came from.

This isn't meant to be racist or anti immigrant, but i must point out that this entire situation you're describing is worse for Canadian born Canadians that don't have roots anywhere else. About 50 years ago, the recently deceased Henry Kissinger went to China at the behest of David Rockefeller to open up manufacturing in the country and to use US construction firms to build China into a modern society with modern infrastructure. They also took all of the manufacturing sectors that were created, perfected and relied upon by the North Americans and handed them over to foreign countries they were developing into the modern economic powerhouses they are now. \nNow that we're poor and have no manufacturing sectors to sustain a healthy middle class anymore, we welcome people from the countries who received our manufacturing sectors and have prospered greatly from it to our countries where they continue to make things here economically worse by making us compete with nouveau rich foreigners for our limited housing and infrastructure. Again, im not blaming the average citizen, North American or not. I am strictly blaming billionaires who think they have the right to control the world for their own benefit. But at least you have an economically rising country that is affordable to live in that you can retreat to at anytime. People with only a Canadian passport do not have that option.

Born and bred Canadian here, I just wanted to weigh in on the hospital issues spoken of @ 9:20. \n\nA HUGE contributor to this problem is one that everyone seems to be afraid of addressing; immigration. \nThose of us who have lived here and paid taxes all our working lives to contribute to the health care system are the ones who should be getting the best use of it. \nMake no mistakes here, if someone moves here and works to contribute to the hospital funding, that’s fantastic and I hold absolutely nothing against them using the system they contribute to. \n\nThe problem I have is when they bring their elder family who will never, and have never, contributed to this system. Then they have no qualms with clogging up waiting rooms and doctor’s offices waiting for care that WE all pay for, born Canadians and legal citizens alike. \n\nI know there will be some brain dead folks who want to cry racism here, but it’s simply an observation. As a canadian born here and raised by first gen immigrants this is true. Parents came from poorer countries and came to Canada for peace and to be better off financially. They worked hard and made sure I would live a better life then them by focusing on school and getting a good paying job. Fast forward, I graduate university landed a good job and am still struggling in this country. Feels like deja vu now Im considering moving countries for the same reason my parents did.

I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

Being 34 and born and raised here and never having lived in any other country. In my humble opinion, this country has gone down hill fast. I no longer enjoy living here. I cant afford to survive here on my own. It's getting worse by the month.

As an immigrant born in Mexico and living in Canada (Québec) for the last 32 years I'm certainly going back to Mexico once I retire. Cost of living is awful and taxes are too high to consider staying in Canada.\nOur current Prime minister Justin Trudeau did help to make this much worse. Trudeau spends our money like crazy...and the worse is that he is telling Canadians that he does not care about it and he will spend much more. Better to leave?

There is NO other country I would ever choose to live in. Born and bred here in Canada. Things are broken everywhere. Still believe my country is a wonderful place to live a beautiful, mostly peaceful, non gun hungry population, life. No place is perfect. But we seem to have laws that respect ALL people that are legally here. There is ALWAYS room for improvement. No gonna lie. Again. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

I'm Canadian, born and raised, and there's no where else in the world I'd rather live. The only downside to living in Canada is the proximity to the US, and how their politics bleeds into this country.

Many recent immigrants I have known have left Canada because the cost of living is too high. From my experience they work very hard, usually working 60+ hours a week. After some time they crunch the numbers and realize no matter how hard they try they will not get anywhere so they leave. For those born in Canada we find ourselves being chased out of our hometowns because it is too expensive to live there. For myself it was either stay in Vancouver, surrendering more than half of your income to rent or move out of the city to buy an apartment. In the major cities there is a mass exodus of young people and the strategy has been to replace that exodus with immigration. The problem is that is not sustainable as now new immigrants, seeking a better life are not finding it in major Canadian cities. For those who already own property in the lower mainland the selfish mentality is to do whatever you can to deny construction, thus maintaining the scarcity and value of what little land/housing there is in desirable areas. Zoning laws are beginning to change but progress is slow and municipalities have failed to keep up with infrastructure so the growing pains is going to be immense. It's beautiful here now doubt but if I had no ties and a solid financial footing I would have left long ago. Generations ago you could show up to Canada with no money and thrive if you were willing to work hard. Now hard work won't get you anything.

The sad part really is canadians born and raised here can't afford to have children due to the cost of living and our government's answer is to bring immigrants here under false pretenses and make up the numbers that way our country has been a joke for years but thx to Trudeau and sing its totally screwed and as a single person working 70 hours a week just to pay the rent maybe if lucky a little bit of food knowing that i have to work until im 70 for a retirement pension that cant even pay my rent sickens me knowing that I most likely will be living out of a tent just to servive in my own country that is the new Canadian dream in reality

I'm Canadian too, born and raised, and I have to say this is accurate. Shit health care, insane taxes, low pay, impossible cost of living.... I live in a rural town now (used to live in a city!!) and even here it's becoming unbearable. Genuinely thinking of changing countries in the next 5 years once I get my act together.\n\nThe video also didn't address the political problem. Only 3 serious parties (the rest are niche and don't address Canada properly as a whole), and two of them partnered so you effectively have two parties. One of them has ramped up the deficit and deflected all housing problems, and the other is hellbent on private healthcare, ignoring environmentalism, and helping their rich friends. Impossible to vote for real representation.

? it's not only immigrants leaving. I was born and raised here and eventhough it was great growing up, I will miss what this country was. There are far more affordable places to live with much better quality of life. I feel sorry for future generations who will never know what it will be like to live debt free.

I came to Canada over 20 years ago. My own thoughts are that Vancouver is a place where people tend to immigrate and often stay in their own ethnic groups. Particularly Chinese and HK people. I live in a part of Vancouver that is now almost all Chinese and HK people and they mostly don't speak English, and I don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin except for a few words, so we'll never know anything about each other. So, you write off ever knowing your neighbors'. Also the people born in Canada or who came here as small children and went through school together, particularly high school tend to have friend groups that are exclusive to them and it's hard to get past that you aren't one of the 'original' group members. Also, it's dark and rainy here for a good 5 months of the year and there is absolutely nothing going on outside that you can just casually go and do. There's skiing and things, but if you are from a country that has busy street life and street food and night markets, here is the opposite.. go outside in December in the dark and rain and see almost nobody and if you do they probably will just look at the floor. My friends are mostly other immigrants, and that's cool! But for me Canada has been a success financially and a bust socially. I'm fortunate that I bought my house 15 years ago, but if I had to pay the ridiculous rent that people have to pay, on top of the boring social life here I'd be gone from here !

I lived in Toronto my whole life and there have been major ethnic groups co-operating to muffle other ethnic groups, a passive racist attempt of pushing certain minorities out. \nThen Canada's government had a bright idea and started bending down to three major powers, which heavily invested in purchase of lands (like it was a real life game of monopoly) while in rapid succession- building townhouses and duplexes (then ditching all of that and opting for condominiums as the ultimate seize all in property value).\nIt became unlivable starting around 2015 (because of a specific group of migrants that have been aggresively flooding in [I can say that because I am of that origin, but born here and aware of what THEY can do]).\nCanada started dying around 2006-2007 and her last breath was at 2010. There are too many idiots in serious, highly attentive occupations and it is a major risk for the future of Canada. Instead of hiring adults with mature minds, they hire adult bodies with child like mentality and tolerances, on top of that- a sinister identity crisis, with no logic to back it. They rather listen to individials splurt something out of their rear than an individual who has experience and the knowledge to get things done. \nThey (the individuals with current responsibilities and their predecessors) bought in the whole 'get rich quick', strategy and while they pocket their results, the country starts to ferment in her own juices of what could have been, 'true potential'. \nYou have an American state that can be passed off as it's own country, because of what the people did with what they had VERSUS Canada... The premise of immigrants coming to fill labor shortages/shrinking population and some come with children...that even sets them further behind with our high cost of living. The reason there is a low birth rate is because of cost of living so how is the average immigrant supposed to survive better working at Tim Hortons with three children any better than the people already born here??????????????? Is it because people from India these people live with 50 people in a two bedroom apartment and pool their incomes???

Born in Toronto but I had to get out. Not just TO but all of Canada is broken. The cost of living, rentals, food, the educational system and hospitals are all government run and horrible. No options. I'm in SE Asia now because you just can't prosper in Canada. The governments are soooo corrupt in Canada but to be quite honest, Canadians are really dumb and they don't see it.

Things are definitely broken here, slowly deteriorating for the past 20 years, but especially escalated since Trudeau in 2015, and the BS and lies and propaganda since the start of COVID. This country is deteriorating as a direct consequence of our fascist government and broken institutions. Don’t know where this goes, but we are definitely a nation in decline, and the takeover of government by corporate interests and corrupt politics is the reason why. We do not live in a democracy. Born and raised in Toronto / GTA. At age 22, after the 1st wave of the COVID-19 crisis I felt the strong desire to leave - ridiculously high living costs, low salaries, general negative sentiment amongst torontonians, drastic lockdowns to combat COVID, insane traffic / poor public transport. I just graduated from university when I made the decision to move to Copenhagen, Denmark. 3 years later and I am confident it was one of the best decisions of my life. As much as I love Canada, I have to admit that the country is lagging FAR behind Scandinavian countries and I prefer my lifestyle here. Great Video btw!

The longer you live in canada and pay taxes the more you should be rewarded, but like cell phone companies the liberals treat new citizens and refugees better than veterans and born Canadian, so if immigrants think it's bad imagine if you were born here and the mass immigration just made it ten times worse.

I’m a born and raised Canadian now living in Germany for 3 years, and although I agree Canadians can sometimes be difficult to befriend and get to know, I don’t agree that it’s easier to strike conversation in Germany at all ? My first months here up until a year were extremely intimidating, of course due to language barrier but also due to the fact that some Germans can come off quite harsh and the air gets heavy here. I’m from Montreal (a bit sad this city wasn’t mentioned), but I’ve never felt that way there or anywhere else in Canada tbh

I'm a permanent resident living in a northern coastal town of about 10,000 residents with a few hundred or more camp workers at any given time. The East Indians have come in hoardes the past couple of years. Domino's opened up in town, and suddenly, there were tons more again. They've taken over several of the food chains and other businesses. Some of them are nice, but the cultural difference (not that Canada has much culture) to North America is vast. Needless to say, my wife and I are planning our escape back to the US.... and she was born here.

FYI Canadians, Refugees, and immigrants are fleeing Canada, because of the hate against white people, the outlandish cost of living, and the lies about our British ancestors who by the way gave all the land back to 1st nations/metis and we pay rent to live on their land. 1763 King George the 3rd made it so after our British ancestors' soldiers who fought against the French who wanted all the land to be the NEW PARIS! England is a country not a religion. We have a government for rule, not a church or anything else. You believe what you want but dont insist that others do the same. Muslims come into a country or are even born in a country that the majority don't live like they want so they club together, multiply, dont integrate into the majority or native system forcing the non believers to leave as they are made to feel uncomfortable for non being Muslim. Those who have left a messed up country which has been made a mess as a result or religion, try their hardest to make the receiving country exactly like the one they have left! If you dont like the native life style of a country, dont go to that country! If you are born there, believe what you want but never force others to believe what you believe and try to integrate into the local society maybe? London (England capital city) is now majority populated by non English people! Surely that cant be right on some level where the non indigenous outnumber the indigenous of a capital city!

Born and raised in Canada. My mother came here with nothing and built a life for herself and the rest of her family. One generation later and now I'm applying for ancestral citizenship so I can get out of Canada and live somewhere affordable... what a joke.
