This is the result of years of conditioning us that it’s normal to vote between the lesser of two evils. Mix it with the explosion of social media and disinformation, it’s easy to see why we have become our own worst enemy.

As a Canadian, while I don't necessarily care if you're having issues speaking English...\n I do have an issue with people in customer service, being of an Indian background, and actively not attempting to speak English... that is not customer service, especially inan Anglo-Saxon world... Immigration is terribly difficult and expensive into the United States. No normal person would be able to immigrate to the US without marrying in. This is the problem and this is one of the reasons why there are so many illegals. If the process was actually more feasible in requirements, standards, and was more easy to follow (instructions are immensely confusing), we'd be better off.

I understand this woman’s position because she understands the situation unfortunately many people don’t and only focus on the sentimental part of it. Trump ones told his friends that if talking about him would get them hired he said go ahead and trash me and go make your money. Now that sounds like someone who cares even if they themselves come out looking bad and their character damage. People, family can truly be selfish in many ways, I’m more than positive is not easy for her to have this opinion yet she understands what is at stake. Nevertheless people will critic and condemn what they don’t understand in its fullness. Hint: if things continue the way they are their will be no US for anyone at least not the US that people are fleeting their countries to come to.

You do know, that while Canada already been giving the Skilled Workers the preferential treatment fir decades, many of the Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, etc are unable to get a job of their training, bc they must write expensive, long exams! \n\nIf they had been out of the University for years, this is not easy to do! They need to support their families, study again and save Thousands of $$$ to pay for and write these exams! Canada makes it difficult for them to work in their field! \n\nThey receive many promises from the Canadian Immigration Department, which often does not deliver! A valid example, those with the Master’s Degrees, too often, receive only the Bachelor Degree equivalency in Canada, despite the promise of their degrees and experience in the field to be honoured! It’s an unjust and an unfair system! An Engineer driving a Taxi! Many, many such examples! \n\nThat’s why many highly-educated immigrants are working as taxi drivers, delivering food, or in under -educated jobs, etc! I met a hospital Medical Lab Tech, who was a Doctor in his birth country!! Another immigrant was a Lab Tech working as a Lab Assistant! Still, another immigrant with a Master’s Degree and experience in the Medical Cancer Research working as a Lab Assistant! \n\nThe bills don’t wait until they write the new exams, save the required money and qualify, etc!!

From my perspective: we should not be allowed to run for government positions or policies, education should not have separate schools for different cultures. What i mean for government if yoy make things easy to take power we can destroy this country easily or place our own power we have other countries that did the same in history that are now no longer same. If your moving to Canada you should adopt to be part of its rules, laws, cultures. I moved here and happy to be part of this country and to be a citizen. I will share food, music or art but dont involve others

1.) the bureaucratic red tape to get into the country “legally” is so much more than it was 30-40 years ago (not to mention the Mexican government being even more corrupt). If it was so easy to get in “legally” (just waiting days in line), don’t you think people would just do it?\n2.) if you’re deported, if often comes with a ban on returning (or even applying to return) of 15-20 (even longer?) years. Any family members of hers that are deported would, effectively, never be allowed back again.

How is she protecting the homeland by hurling insults on random passersby? This is called venting your frustrations. It has nothing to do with her trying to protect anything but just finding easy targets in her crosshairs to get rid of whatever bothered her that morning. Get up and choose your representatives wisely so they can make sure the right policies are implemented. These people were invited or allowed to come in, they did not conquer the place like her prior generations would have. Stop blaming the people and question the lawmakers, that would make sense. Not this.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

Easy for evil to take over

Funny thing, most Indians who emigrate this way are not the bottom rungs, they're poor, but not destitute. They just want a easy way out. There are far poorer people. Most dunkeys are from Gujarat & Punjab. Gujarat & Punjab are middle-class states if not rich. Like Arizona and Michigan, not Mississippi & Arkansas.

It is not easy for immigrants to assimilate in a single-ethnic nation anyway. It is better to reform Germany internally so that Germans can become superior.

All indian embassies situation like this now... Because there is no political pressure, no one to see, no one to ask them... Easy lavish life, that's why they behave like this with applicants ? if we call or send mail for enquiry there is no respond, no help from indian embassies!!

I have visited 65 countries. Those that live in the third world would love the opportunity to live in Canada. They can live without and save as Canadians did generations ago. It has become easy for Canadians as they became wealthy with high wages and rewarded with massive returns on real estate. Those Canadians that did not invest in real estate or do not /can not work at a decent job are suffering with the high prices of everything and accentuated by an irresponsible federal govt regarding fiscal prudence.

I’m Chinese who worked in f&b before, Muslim customers are always the most easy going and generous people! No matter the locals or from Middle East!!

It blows me away every time they exploit how “entitled” they’re! Alls I hear them say is me, us & I & feel they deserve to stay in Canada… They were really brainwashed on how it will come so easy to start a life here… The military needs to break up their encampments & I rather use our tax money to send them home, rather then use our tax money to fund them! I took a course recently & 95% were Indians new to Canada. Canadians are being pushed out of our own country !

The big issue with mass immigration is there has been next to no quality control. The indians that arrived a decade ago say the indians arriving today suck because they're of a different social class. A decade ago immigrating to Canada wasn't easy so anyone who did come here was typically educated and of higher quality. I think the majority of indians are good people just trying to make it but if you bring in millions just viewing them as $ cows of course there are going to be a percentage of bad ones. A greater issue with this too is now the country is in such disarray that anyone who is a potential quality immigrant might not want to come here.

This is me a decade ago moving from Phils to Canada. I never felt at home in the country of my birth — I hated the traffic and the monsoon rains (it can rain for months). I know a lot of nationalities rave about our tropical country & beautiful beaches but it also has become unaffordable for us the citizens. We became Canadians 5 yrs ago & have grown from 4 to 6 (2 Canada born kids) & now have 2 properties. It has worked for us but it was also not easy uprooting our lives & starting over. I don’t think we will ever find our home anywhere. Previously my husband and I also lived in the US (before kids). It is truly a privilege to be here but I always feel I am sojourner, always traveling & always searching. I hope you find your peace wherever life takes you. Real international students brings resources to Canada. Government needs to look into students that actually come not for study but to work (making money back home). Besides, why entrepreneurs and start up programs that will benefits our society gets so hard to proceed (taking over years to complete)? Why nanny home support worker can come to Canada as permanent resident so fast and easy? The people of Canada need to be aware of these strange policies that were made. The policy makers do not use their brains measuring the actual needs of Canada. They make no efforts to look into how their policies will affect the lives of the people, the system of Canada including medical systems, our infrastructure or housing. They do not care if our society can have enough to support these low skilled workers and families, and also the new refugees and families. Can our economy support all these new families? Nowadays the economy of the world is so challenging, but would these policies makers care about this? They are not stupid then there must be some reasons behind.
