Local here, born and raised in BC. As much as I love our country and history, I don't see myself being able to live here in the future. Real estate is the driving factor for the economy and with those housing/COL prices going up, I won't even be able to afford a split mortgage even if I had a steady 6 figure job. Sure, our dollar was tanking before Trudeau enter power, but while he has been in power, it has barely changed and now is very close to reaching the same values we had in the Covid pandemic. The American military is apolitical. No one swears an oath to any political leader but only to our Constitution. Mass deportations of undocumented people living in the United States won't be done with the help of the Army, National Guard, or other military services. The U.S. military does not have to follow illegal or unconstitutional orders. Military officers do not want to engage in civilian police functions or enforce immigration laws. Trump firing military officers would hollow out the military, likely destroying our readiness to fight future wars.

Any politician/corporation/CEO that supports, ignores or enables the breaking of laws, should be considered to be in breach of those laws as well. I applied and finally received notice that I can move to Canada as a permanent resident.
