Well the lady in black- colonisers when they colonised many parts of the world they didn’t adopt or assimilate to those peoples culture- I wonder why ? so how about practice what you preach eh?

I'd likely have had no concerns, if assimilation was a keystone of bringing people here. Instead we have foreigners being used as political/corporate pawns, without care for the fallout.

The blame doesn't go to immigrants necessarily... it's those who don't want to integrate and the Canadian citizens who are afraid to require people assimilate

when you bring too many people of a particular culture, in too short of a time, they loose the incentive to assimilate, and just live like they did in their orginal country, they just gather in large groups and do what they want, and abuse canada.

Didn't assimilate and brought terrorism to Canada with the kalastanis.. I have also experienced medical fraud with radiologists from India and an Indian gp... good people in every race.. but the bad ones have now spoiled it for everyone. Indian and Middle Eastern. Anyone who can not assimilate into our culture should not be allowed in. Let them move to another country that shares their culture and belief.

The Canadian government is importing record numbers of Indians (mostly Punjabis) into Canada to the point that entire communities are being demographically transformed, there is zero assimilation and zero incentive to assimilate. Very fair assessment \nOne thing to add is assimilation. Canada is known for its multiculturalism. However, I think it becomes problematic when sectors of society do not communicate in English and tend to commerce only amongst their own communities. It doesn't feel like a united country, just fragments of different groups. \nAs well, many groups bringing the politics of their country here, this not just targeting Indians but it is an issue, and I think it's causing a lot of issues in Canada.\nThank you for your fair assessment.

Immigration is literally the root of all issues we are having today. I will go as far as saying that it has been bad even before Trudeau, but Trudeau made it much worse 1000 times over. We should only bring immigrants in that: 1) Will assimilate and truly want to be Canadian. Adopt our values and traditions and speak our language. 2) Have something to offer to Canada, either fill jobs that Canadians can't fill, or have a degree or specialty that will help the country. 3) Should be from multiple countries, not just India or Philippines. 3) Should not be from a third World Country or be poor. They should have the same values as Canada to start. Otherwise they will cause trouble and crime here. \nAnything short of that should not be allowed in or should be deported. We need to control our border to protect against invasions.

It’s not hate. It’s not racism. It’s a normal reaction to a massive influx of a culture that doesn’t assimilate and blend to a country’s culture and way of living, including rules and conduct norms.

Already been backyard of India China middle east and Africa. Instead of we immigrants embracing culture Canada assimilated to us. They r getting tourist visa and asking to be refugee at airport. They should be immediately returned.

My Indian parents came to Canada from Dubai in the early 80s and I grew up in Canada. The problem is, the Indians coming to Canada now are not the immigrants who used to come here. 20- 50 years ago, when immigrants came to Canada, they understood that they are moving to a new country with different laws, values and culture and they have to assimilate accordingly because they planned to call Canada home. To get into Canada, you had to have some level of higher education or investment means to help develop and add to the economy. But now, over the last 10-15 years, the kind of people coming in are straight out of the villages (mainly north Indians), with no education, low societal values, no care for assimilating and are even criminals who were wanted in India. By using Canada's study permit program, hundreds of thousands of Indians came here with the explicit plan to stay and never go back. To make matters worse, they feel now that they are in Canada, they can break the rules, break the laws and commit heinous crimes. If you look at the Toronto news now, it is ONLY Indians (mainly Punjabi's) committing most of the crimes from extortion to drug dealing to carjacking etc. Even the Indo Canadian community can't stand the people coming to Canada over the last few years, it is NOT a race issue! The issue is too many people from a different culture who don't assimilate!

A good start would be if you wanted to assimilate to Canada. Don't be rude, try to learn the language and don't bring bad behavior over. You move from India to be in a better place, so don't make it worse here, to accommodate you.

Indians never assimilate

Of late, the quality of immigrants coming in from India is very poor, the young men look and sound arrogant and loud for some reason, and don’t give a damn about locals, or about cultural assimilation. On top of that, most suck at their jobs and are very indisciplined. I think you guys have stopped sending your best - might even be sending some of your worst. While we can’t control whom you send, we can control whom we accept.

I am a Canadian of Asian descent as well. And therefore have also an insiders perspective.\nI think that the Vlogger, speaking here was already culturally assimilated before he came. Too many of you from the same country I'm all for immigration but it should be a few people from each country and that's it and as they assimilate then you can bring more in there should be also a 10-year probation period where is a migrant gets into any kind of legal trouble violent crime they're deported right back to their country there should also be a 10-year band on the running for office and the vote enough with the handouts when our ancestors came here from Europe they came with nothing in their pockets they weren't handed nothing they weren't given anything they had to work for what they got

I agree and appreciate your constructive approach to this issue. It would of been easy to play the race card the whole video. I can tell you that it goes both ways here with this issue. It is not right to put good and bad apples in one basket, the bad stands out here more than the good.\nI came from an area of very few Indians and been living in an area of high immigration for many years, so I came from a place of no prejudices. Unfortunately, much of what Canadians complain about are true as I experienced it first hand. I won't list this because others have. I absolutely agree that you are ambassadors when outside the home country, as I think the same in my travels. Overall I believe it is a blatant disregard for Canadian culture and laws, and lack of assimilation with Canadians, especially white, that has caused this to be the big part of this divide. Not separate yourselves, segregating others based on predjudices, and sticking to what you are familiar with back home. You came for a better life, but live the same as the past. I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. The ones who immigrated here in the 80s and 90s were quiet, dignified and productive.\n\nThey were family oriented and blended into canadian society seamlessly.\n\n\nThis is what indians need to do in order to regain respect again.\n\n1. Having a canadian passport does not make you real Canadian. Its your assimilation to the culture. Every where I go you Indians are the same. Trudeau has taken the Multi out of “Multiculturalism” Canadians and Indians have different values and if we Canadians mention this we are shamed and labeled as racist. I have a few Indian friends and they even say that immigration to Canada from India has gone out of balance. Many Indian people don’t assimilate into western living and many try to find loopholes they can exploit. I don’t like that Sikh men can bring daggers to places like the gym, it makes me feel uncomfortable working out beside someone with a big knife. Indian people wearing a Turban don’t have to wear helmets when riding their motorcycles. If a white Canadian took a big hunting knife into a gym they would be escorted out by the RCMP, and would be ticketed and fined for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. While sitting with one of my Indian friends he mentioned how he would hate to be me, I asked him why, he said as an Indian he can do what he wants and if I say anything I’m shamed and considered a racist. ??

Present Canadian govt is dependent on DNP of Jagmeet Singh (Khalistani supporter). He can make Trudeau dance to his tune. Canadians of Indian origin mostly from Punjab are Khalistani sympathizers and they have fomented enough trouble locally in Canada and are primarily responsible for the poor relations between India and Canada. \n\nSecondly Indian emigration is of highly skilled work force consisting of doctors, scientists, financial experts, bankers, professors, businessman, politicians, and logistics business experts etc. They contribute to the treasury by paying the highest taxes than any other immigrant including european settlers. By and large Indians are peace loving people and excel in their fields. Now Indian origin people are into politics and Canada has a few MPs of Indian origin serving as ministers of defense, foreign affairs etc. \n\nThis xenophobia has to stop. Every wave of immigrants to the new continents have faced these problems be it Irish, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or East European immigrants. The process of assimilation takes a long time and in the meantime there would be some hiccups to which the society will eventually adapt. Assimilating into the country you move to, respecting their traditions, and being an ambassador of your country is the responsibility of every Indian moving to other countries. They are legally migrating. And the Canadian govt is not stupid to welcome.. These are legal educated people migrating and contributing to the newly adopted land in every aspect of the way.. In taxes. In education. In politics.. Would the you tuber have been happy or whites if more whites came in and assimilated more easily and physically??!!

Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

Yup, 100%. Agreed it's nothing about immigrants, but when don't assimilate and don't learn English and bring their problems (e.g. family honour killings) and create segregated communities (e.g. Asian-ification of Highway 7 in Markham) - then yeah we feel like strangers in our own land we don't recognize anymore.
