It’s sad to see. Having traveled and lived in central and South America, I get why they want to come. What irritates is the sense of entitlement and that it’s just okay to storm into another country.

U cannot I repeat you cannot do this in any other country anywhere besides America.. some parts of America I didn’t even believe was our country yo it looks third world yo I’m ashamed of our actions and I do not agree with this at all.. there country needs to do something for there own people and we need to do the same.. we should help with the infrastructure and laws over there to where they don’t want or need to force there way into America.. everyone has the right to be here but do it the right way

As a hardworking Canadian, it is very sad and frustrated to see how people just cross the border so easily from the US when my immigrant parents who held bachelors and PHD needed to sacrifice so much to raise me. They had to do labor work in factories. Those people who seek asylum will enjoy so much such as free housing, food and education support. All the services are coming out from the taxpayers like me. I have been taxed so high that I almost cannot afford a place in large cities like Toronto and Vancouver. In my opinion, Canada should restrict the number of people seeking asylum every five years. It should offer less benefits to those people as well.

Just seeing this is creating an even greater hatred in my heart towards right-wing politicians who don't give a crap about these people and what their reasons are for wanting to come to our countries, even though them being here is not going to cause any harm or misfortune to our citizens, it's just the knowledge that foreigners are coming to our countries illegally, is the only excuse that these bigoted Hippocrates have for not wanting them here. \n\nAren't they so lucky that they were born in a country where they didn't have to worry about any of these problems, but sadly for these people this was not the case for them but they are just as human as any of the rest of us and deserve the same chance to at least not live in fear or in the poverty that they came from. And it is so ironic that these people use their Christian religion as an excuse the pass certain laws or forego certain amendments that gives certain minority groups equal rights or the right to bodily autonomy, yet they ignore all the vast passages in the Holy Bible where Jesus insisted on having compassion for people like this, but in reality these fake-ass Christian right-wing politicians don't care about that. I feel so sick even thinking about this.

I’m Colombian and it’s sad to see people from my country lying to the authorities to get documentation. \nI know everyone wants a better life and definitely my country is not the best place for low /middle income families; however, we should understand that US or Canada have no obligations to legalize anyone. There are already so many problems to handle in their territories and with their citizens.

US and Canada will be completely destroyed by this uncontrolled influx of illegals. Sad to see such great countries like that.

this makes me sick. i was born in canada but luckily i have european background and i could go there.....i used to rent rooms to Indian students in Ontario - only charged them $300 a room to each student, only had a set of twins share a room.....as a child of immigrants i have a soft spot for these students...and to see this video makes me literally cry. it's sad, disgusting...\n\nthanks trudeau for exploiting MORE POOR.... An important factor as always been for me the different of murders, mugging, rapes, theft, people killed by firearms each year up to 38 000 a year in the US, add other types of weapons, and many more. In Canada we have clean water, lakes everywhere, we have so much more good timber for building, land for farming etc. The cost of health care in the US and schools can easily ruin them, their parents and families. Canada health care is mostly free for everyone, although seemed slow by many, but is it slow or are they worried to see a doctor to realize nothing is wrong with them ?? Going to see a doctor for a cold, a bad night sleep etc are not really worth a doctors time or theirs. The education system in Canada educate their citizens, watching Youtube videos about Americans being asked common questions like : Which 2 countries border the USA?? Sadly most are morons and think it is Europe and France LOL Parents and children's have a way better time when they give birth and spending time with their families ;-) You might get better pay in the US, but then you have to worry about getting shot, robbed or killed, get your car or stolen, house broken into etc. Plus add all the scammers and scams in the USA, that citizens, non citizens and politicians and city officials and even cops do, no thank you.

The social experiment with the girl raising money for Syrian refugees..I’d like to see them try it with an Indigenous 1st nations person and see how many people step in? Here in Northern Minnesota a very rural area yes we indigenous get that same treatment,from highschool staff favoring non matches to store employees following us around. I honestly think if they social experiment of people stepping in in an indigenous scenario I think the results would be much different. Sad racism is still so prevalent in 2023?. Well everyone, the option is to go into a system like the United States has , which incidentally is far from perfect itself, my spouse was in emergency for five hours last Saturday night before anyone looked at her, , which the system will spiral in to a business and if you think you have problems now, just wait till what’s down in the future. As a Canadian who has lived in the United States the last seven years, our good family healthcare is $1270 US a month, which incidentally has a $1000 deductible and a 10% co-pay on everything we experience, and trust me an MRI scan ( yes , just a scan, not surgery) for your brain is costed out at $7000, so be prepared to pay your deductible and 10% of it along with all the other attending doctor charges, even with good healthcare at 1270U.S. a month ! That monthly healthcare premium is almost $1600 a month Canadian. Canadians complain about taxes being too high also, but that is my profession, and when you round out the two , there may be 2 to 3% adjusted for the exchange rate higher and you still get a lot greater bang for the buck. Also, your higher education in the United States is easily 2 to 3 times of what you’re paying for in Canada. I know it’s not optimal, however trust me you still have it good in Canada, I find so many immigrants complain about it when they come to Canada, Yet they are living in a relatively safe and secure country, just a little bit of appreciation would be nice. Is it always what I can get, how about maybe what you can give? Maybe the answer for everyone and candidates to start to pay to go see a doctor if you can have the doctors availability, that is the sad truth, and I’m quite sure people will not like that by any means when they see the charges. Trust me ,Canada is obviously far from perfect, but is overall still a pretty darn good country, for somebody that dislikes it so much, they need to go back to where they’re from, and compare, it might be a better option for them.

As someone from Belgium that now lives in Columbus OH because of marriage, you're spot on with everything. Safety? Limited. Sprawl? Terrible. Rent? Eh it's not that bad. I make a base salary of $82.5k and my wife makes $50k. Our 2br 1ba apartment's rent is about $1000. It's a nice place, but it has some flaws. Our next place will be around $1500. I've told my wife I don't like the sprawl and lack of public transport here and I want to move to a place where that is less of an issue: Chicago, NYC or Boston. However, the latter two have crazy high rent.\n\nI must add, the terribly unsupported public education system in Columbus is by far the worst reason. My wife is a teacher at a Columbus City School that's almost 100% black. White families put their kids through private schools. The rest of the kids have terrible home lives and are therefore incredibly ill-behaved and under-educated. So much so that the teachers just CANNOT keep up with Ohio's learning standards. By the time these kids graduate (and that's a big IF), they would have learned about 20% of what a regular 18-year old would have learned in most of the world. This is in part due to:\n1. Parents that do not involve themselves in what their children do, and therefore do not discipline appropriately.\n2. Terrible school admins that force teachers to lower their standards to have a high passing rate for the school (otherwise it gets shut down). Also, due to the No Child Left Behind Act, admins also force teachers to teach how to pass state tests (repetitive bullshit) instead of important learning materials and/or critical thinking skills.\n3. A lot of these students are pushed into the gang lifestyle and see no future in their education. They don't even try.\n4. Burned out teachers that grew tired of the negative ROI and start giving out poor and inadequate work packets. However, I don't like blaming teachers, especially because my wife is the hardest working person I know.\n\nIt's hard to see my wife come back every day, exhausted. It pains me both for her and her kids. America doesn't give a fuck about education. The big theory is that they're purposely not giving public schools attention so they can be phased out and private education becomes the norm. And if you can't afford it? That's great, we need factory workers.\n\n\nI might convince my wife to move to Europe eventually (luckily a European marriage visa isn't as stupidly hard to obtain as it was for me to get here). Having kids in America is not something I'd like to think about. For now, I'm taking advantage of this high salary to save as much as I can and focus on advancing in my career. Sadly, that's really the only thing America is good for...

On the point of the nonmixing demographics, I've completely noticed and think it's really odd about the US. I grew up in Houston, and so far it's the place in the US I've witnessed actual mixing of demographics. Everywhere else feels and looks extremely segregated which is really sad. When I went to NYC was when I truly noticed the living together but segregated and cannot stop seeing it anywhere I go other than Houston. Hell even the restaurants had 1 demographic working inside really hammering it down. \nI also gotta with Aba, i hate the nonmixing most areas do. People do not talk to each other or travel within the US which creates a ton of misunderstanding of ourselves and surroundings constantly creating unresolved tension which politics breed off of

SO sad for sure.. definitely wish that was not the case and only the food areas were the separation for if you want greek, italian, indian, mexican, puerto rican. chinese, japanese, soul food etc. Coming from chicago I get to see all the different food styles and places but again it is so true that things are way different from canada to here. Sad that sick children must wait 23 days to see a doctor, and sick adults must wait 150 days. That kinds of free medical care is almost completely useless.

Oh god this is sooo sad to see and very misleading,Indian universities are as good or even better than some Canadian and US unis, also dont forget countries like Russia, Poland, Czech trust me guys, universities there are much much harder and better knowledge is provided. An American and Canadian students will find it very difficult to pass the exams in those countries compared to their own. \nSo I dont understand why Indians dont go to those EAST EU countries or stay in India, the best Medical unis,IT,engineering, Architecture, bio chemistry and many more are actually in India and east European countries including Russia.

It's sad how many scams there are. This is just another example. I hate to say it but the scam started with recruiting in India. Where most of the scams you hear about start. All the calls we get and the online scams seem to start in India too. If you ever get the chance to visit beautiful India you will get to see scams on the streets from the tourist traps to the food its crazy.

Check out the UK, over a million people not being able to afford heat last winter. Electricity is going to rise now in October then again in January. It is a second rent we will be paying, no joke!!! Health System is a disaster here. Our NHS is not getting the support they need to be good. Food prices is sky rocketing we see food banks coming up all over the place with long queues. I hear from others in other countries, that are going through the same thing. I don't think you are alone. The entire world is going through something right now and the people are sadly suffering in silence. It is a sad situation and very difficult. I don't think it's a Canada situation only.

Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us.
