Canada cannot make its own money. So what does it do? It has to figure out unethical ways to bring in money. This is done by bringing in immigrants. There is multiple birds with one Stone hit here. Meaning gives immigrants the lie of a better life. So they take all their money that they have in their nation. And they bring it here. That's free money that Canada did not have to work for and now other nations have lost. then they lied to them and tell them that they can get anything they want. For me to get a franchise here while owning other businesses was IMPOSSIBLE 5 yrs ago. But these guys with no credentials are getting it right away. I wasn't allowed to modify my house or rent by law. And they are now allowing all of that. My mother had an international driver's license from France and she had to go through hoops to get her licence here. They are handing things over with no screening to these people which is cause instability and chaos. No structure. They let them bring their huge money here and put into franchises with no credentials. Bank loans free approval no questions asked. Meanwhile, most of those franchises will never make any money. Then they will take that money also, and put it into homes. Rent etc, and this is the part where they basically drain the immigrant money in an instant and put it into Canada economy. Now that you have all these immigrants buying all these businesses. Now you need slave work, so you start Bringing it more immigrants to work those slave jobs. Because in the 1990s, all the way up to 2010. You were encouraging Education. During that time Education was the money Maker. So you kept pushing that. Billions went to universities. Telling people that they'll have a better future. That was the lie of that time. Now you want the same people to work min wage jobs. Now immigration is a bigger Money maker. They say they're bringing in these guys Because they want to work these jobs that a canadians don't want to work. That's because you just made those fake jobs by creating more immigrants to come here have franchises that need minimum wage jobs. But you also promised the rest of us that if we worked hard enough, we will get better jobs. So why would we want to resort to minimum wage jobs on top of you ruining the market for housing inflation taxes etc? How could we even afford while working Minimum wage jobs. And that's why they're bringing people in here. This goes deeper than it seems. socialism. then they get mad At us and demand more taxes and more money. But Canada is a closed system. So how can we afford giving you more than we're making? This insanity has to stop. This chaos needs to stop.

I have some questions:\n\n1. Why is this video only showing African immigration when they represent the smaller immigration group. This is disingenuous. Why don’t you show the real immigration stats. \n\n2. The gentleman that spoke about his suffering and not having a stable place, living in his car etc, what is the reason? Why can’t he find employment or can he find employment but it’s not enough to pay for rent? \n\n3. Using the same man as an example, why is he Canadian born suffering (assuming no drugs or mental illness) but there are people who come on student visas, get a job, a house and then bring their 90 yrs old grandma over. Put a $1m insurance policy one her head and then buy an esso.\n\nCanadian is becoming very costly. I am experiencing this too, but while watching this documentary I got the impression it was solely to exploit an narrative. It would be better to make a documentary showing people working, blah blah and still having to go to the food bank because of the rising cost. That’s a real system problem\n\nMy heart goes out to those currently struggling with any drug or mental issues. I wish for a solution that will save lives and rehabilitate

I can do you one better! I worked at a tax office in Burnaby BC where the owner is Chinese and whom claimed millionaires from China who were non residents (still actually living in China), and claimed no income alrhough they wee multi millionaires and claiming child tax and GST cheques and he would save them for the 6 months until they came back into the country and then would come pick up rheir months worth of cheques... He also made me upload the Canadian immigration exam that included all the answers to hand out to the millionaires who were just here to buy up residential properties and screw over Canadians! That is just one tax office there are tons doing this and the government knows it and does nothing to help homeless citizens!!! I will never be able to afford a home and I am not drug addicted and I work full time in a white collar job!

If I didn’t have family in Canada, I would go back to the USA. Vastly overpriced here. Lacking tremendous leadership, yet America is presently worse. My hope though is the recovery rate is better in the USA. Global respect and support is far better in USA. A melting pot mindset rather than major diversity….better weather also. Yikes, I better get going.\nOne thought though….Canada should not sit back and say how the world loves Canadians due to their past contributions. This interview completely misses the point by interviewing the “wrong” immigrant. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

Born and raised in Canada. This place blows. No idea why anyone would ever want to live here. It would be much better if more people left actually, it would make things more affordable.

One day I overheard them in Chinese repeatedly talking about my country Mexico which got me to talk with them. They were quite happy to learn I could speak Chinese but more excited to learn I was from Mexico. They started asking me a bunch of questions about crossing the border into the US to which I bluntly told them I had no idea about and discouraged it. I asked where they got these crazy ideas from and they said that people were posting videos and tutorials of how to cross into the US online. The Chinese government hard handed approach to COVID was what made them leave. They wanted to go both for the freedom and economic benefits but they had a very naive and overly optimistic view of the US. They saw the high wages US workers were making but had no idea as to the incredibly high living costs associated with living there. I tried explaining that there was a housing shortage and that their expectations for life in the US would set them for disappointment but they either didn't believe me or brushed off my criticism. I also tried encouraging them to go to German or Australia instead (places which I feel would be better and easier for them to enter) but they seemed dead set on just going to the US. Unfortunately I don't know where they are now as Wechat is blindly and constantly blocking and deleting accounts in SE Asia without reason......................

I know a lot of people who are going back now. People who came with a PR and have an average yearly income of 190000 cad. \n\nIndia is growing at a higher rate than Canada. Standard of live used to be better in Canada but now with high cost of living, that is changing. Medical facilities are in doldrums in which India excels. Canada needs to rethink about their policies else more educated people are gonna leave. \n\nI would rather buy a flat in Mumbai than Canada at this point.

Arbitrary immigration targets are simultaneously increasing demand and suppressing wage growth. There are better ways to control immigration. I would suggest demand based approach with some guard rails in place. For instance, I would require all educational institutions to provide housing for international student (at least 50%). Businesses should be required to provide accommodation to all temporary/seasonal workers on top of the minimum wage. In order to hire foreigners employers should be required to prove that they are paying enough to afford housing in the region (market cost of accommodation is less than 30% of salary). Accommodation for refugees should be secured before bringing them to the country from around the globe. No accommodation = no permits. It would limit demand and prevent wage suppression.

Well said but most people would say that your modest and didn’t share enough harsh reality… you might want to try again and do a much longer video sharing more information with more video backed by corrupt politicians and easily agreeable down sides of ever moving to Canada. I came from Uganda to Canada. It isn't easy but I would rather stay here than go back. Life is what you make it to be, things get better over time. you need grit and resilience if you have a dream, going back to your old life is giving up. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN.

Born and day raised here. Immigration is out of control as is all all the social services, bailouts, and specials needs funding. Rhis created a huge debt to income defeciet that anyone with any brains could see coming a mile away. We are also forcing ourselves out of any useful manufacturing and were fooled by the government that mass immigration would solve all the problems. It did the opposite. It was great 30 years ago. Still, I don't know where you could go that is better. Racism was almost gone and the complainers brought it back by wanting to be more than equal.

This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. For those curious, you can find some CBC marketplace videos that cover some of this from a couple years back. The banks have been caught f'ing around as well, what with pushing through mortgage requests that should never have been allowed to occur; and that's just what we know about. \n\nNo offense to anyone in this video, or anyone else like them. We know that a good large chunk of most of you are not at fault here with what's going on. But there are some people from all sorts who are all doing their own dirty little deeds, and they are culminating into the gigantic pile of BS that the rest of us now get to deal with. \n\nAnd make no mistake, what I am saying is not even close to the full extent of the BS going on. This is just one facet of it. There still is the universities mentioned that we need to talk about, whom have been fleecing internationals for years now. Why would they want to go to Canada. When they've got to apply. Americans southern border is wide open and a free for all those entering illegally. The person talking ignores facts. How typical.\nThe residents of Gaza suffer from the rule of Hamas. Israel is doing the Arab world a favor by weakening Hamas, it has done the Arab world a lot of damage. Who on Earth would want to live here? We are such a depressing and failing culture and society. We have placed ourselves in a situation where nothing properly can grow here. Canada will get far more depressing over the next decades. I tell people all the time don't come here, you'll pay more than money for coming here. And I tell people, who are able, to leave. Find a better place to call home. Canada can't be home to people. Not with how we are easily dislodged, displaced and how everything around us is on fire and burning down. \n\nDon't come to Canada unless you're suicidal and want to die, or you happen to be super rich and you can make it. \n\nCanada will be losing many many Canadians in the future. Whether it's people leaving the country, whether it's people returning to their old countries, or whether it's people killing themselves off desperately trying to find solutions to problems. \n\nPlease don't come here people. \n\nCanada is a horrible place to live. A multi-cultural, multi-national melting pot is not to everyone's taste. A country with a predominate Muslim population would serve your needs better. I think you would be better suited in a different country than Canada or the US.

Its now impossible for a low to moderate income person to buy anything. The price of everything just keeps going up up up. Rent in this small town was 400/500 a month in 2015, that same place today runs 2 thousand,and for the first time ever I see, people living on the streets. The reason so many on the streets? Minimum wage 17.45 an hour, rent 2 thousand, do the math, do you want shelter or do you want to eat? We have the government thinking that the average wage is 70 thousand a year. How do they come up with that number, if you add the billionaires and millionaires to the equation the average worker looks to be better off. I would not recommend anyone to come to Canada.

I am not Muslim but Canada is still a great country. A Muslim country will be a huge change and it does depend on the country. I lived in Morocco for 2 years and you are judged by your money. Really snobby people. They hate the poor and there are lots of poor people. Cost of Living has also increased. Lovely climate. No job opportunities for young people. I worked in Dubai for 6 months. All bling and only the 20 % have any proper say. Spent a holiday in Oman. Woman still kept back. Also might get caught up in Middle East conflict. Countries like Kuwait/Saudi etc very strict after freedom of Canada. Albania probably would not be strict enough for you. 60% percent Muslim. Had a holiday there about 10 yrs ago. Beautiful in summer and I believe still reasonable. Will be interested to see where you pick. I live in Ireland cost of living madly expensive!! I have cousins in Montreal. Have spent many vacations there. Why not try Vancouver for better weather? I just love Canada but all my immediate family are here. Will be in Canada again in September.\nReally living in a country just because of your religion in this day and age is not great. We now live in a Global World. I'm surprised so many homeless in Canada. I thought they were so much better than America, and you would never see that

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

As a Canadian I would advise not to move to Cnada right now. Hopefully with a change in government things will get better but for now just say NO.

And then, Canada is wrong here, Canada is wrong there: says who?\nI emigrated to an English speaking Country about thirty years ago, and that for one and only very simple reason: my country did not offer me any opportunities even remotely comparable with those I was kindly offered in the Country I emigrated to. To me, this is more than enough to prove that the Country I emigrated to was far superior to the country I was born in.\nOf course, they were expecting the bargain to work for both parties (if it didn't, there would have been NO opportunities for me at all), and rents were frightfully high, but still manageable, AND THEY SAW TO IT THAT IT WAS SO, AS IT WAS CONVENIENT FOR BOTH PARTIES, which you will allow me to call good reasoning.\nAnd yes, I lived modestly, but who cared: I was able to further my education and grow professionally. They could have offered me, say, a teaching position in one of their third-degree Institutions: they did not, and I think rightly so. Not a bit of hard feelings about that, they had already done a lot for me, and taught me something in the process. First of all, TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR WAYS, since factual evidence slapped to my face that their ways were far more effective than my country's ways.\nI went back to my country after a few years, were I was able to improve my situation thanks to the qualifications they helped me earn. They did not ask me to leave, but I felt I had to do that. I realized I lacked the qualities (energy, initiative, enthusiasm) that would enable me to contribute to and continue their effort in modelling their Society, the very Society that gave me so much. Better go back, lest I may contribute to spoil it, and do my best were I belong.\nThey never asked me to repay their kindness. So I don't think they did not do enough for me, quite the opposite. Why would you leave Singapore which is objectively a better country than Canada?

It would make Canada better for all Canadians if your tax payers plane stopped flying in mid air that would make Canada a better place to live !

It is not about the overall number, but the numbers of international students concentrated in certain areas that are overwhelming the infrastructure of those host communities. If there were a system in place that diversified their destination schools across Canada and better regulated those predatory fly-by-night institutions in the larger centres that outright lie to students to get their money, the problem would be solved.

Never compare a country with another. We are all educated immigrants who decided to immigrate over to Canada. Im from India, Canadians ive dealt with for my last 10 years are super friendly and sweet people. Yes as a Canadian now i love this soil, weather and i would not mind even giving my life for this country who has made my life better and given me all freedom to live my life the way i want.

Canada has become so corrupt. It's also known Canada has become a haven for money laundering and all kinds of schemes like that. These colleges have turned into diploma mills. Their diplomas have no real value anymore. They are churned out solely because of money and it's flooding the market as well. \nHow is this allowed? \nCan you imagine how many Canadian Citizens are DYING because they have to fight against millions of new International students and new coming immigrants each year for a hospital spot.\nWait times at ER as exploded. Tons of new cases where Canadians died waiting for emergency help. This is criminal. \n\nThis is also very bad for the long term Indians that came to Canada many years ago and their kids born in Canada. They are starting to get stigmatized because all Canadians see is insane amount of Indians that barely speak English (that would be the immigrants not the students) and with a housing crisis and it affects Canadians. Guess who the scapegoats are.\nI am telling you these are the unfortunate side effects. Right now all Canadians are hurting. One would think with all the money the Canadian Government has provided the CBC last year (1.3 billion CND by their own admission), they could do a better job of the quality of audio production of this video. I normally can play most videos with my volume set to 30% of maximum volume, but this video requires me to increase the volume to 50% to be able to hear what the CBC News commentator was saying.

Converting to Islam, I would suggest a critical to looking up the history of the belief, the book and finding a good historical teacher of Christianity. One bias of mine looking into the belief is the editing the Hebrew and Christian books 600 years after the fact by a man who could not read or write and his angelic messenger telling him to do so grabbed him and threatened him. NEVER read of an angel of God doing that before. And editing the Hebrew, Christian's books 600 years after they were written, is like saying a man editing the writings of 1776 in 2376, by a man who could not read or write, is better than the original writings?
