Basically, for the past four years, Biden, Harris and the Democrat Party have spent hundreds of billions of US tax dollars flying illegal immigrants in and basically leaving America’s borders in Mexico and Canada wide open to mass illegal immigration. In the past few years, the Democrats have spent billions throughout all of our federal agencies via misappropriated US taxpayer funds that were earmarked for American citizens or American infrastructure and development, then used these misappropriated, taxpayer funds to provide housing, food, education, medical care, and in most cases, luxury hotels. Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. No wonder the Democrats are freaking out the way they are, if the Republicans got caught this bad with their hand in the taxpayer cookie jar, then you know the Democrats would be screaming a different tune. The Democrats are trying to manipulate taxpayers into believing utter nonsense like their phrase “ no one voted for Elon Musk. “ but in reality no citizen ever votes for the hundreds of the civilian presidential appointed positions to run these federal agencies, every new president pics/appoints to these positions every term. It definitely explains why hard-working tax paying men and women are getting completely ripped off and robbed every time they look at their paycheck and see how extremely and unnecessarily high taxes are now. Majority of Indians support what Donald trump is doing with all illegals. I lived in the US for 4 years (2016-2020) and left on time, never sought PR or long term residency. It was a great experience and love USA and its people. Most of the Americans are very good people.

I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? I remember in Matamoros 4 or 5 years ago a group of migrants stormed the bridge. I was crossing to work on a daily basis at the time and had to cross the BM Bridge because Gateway Bridge was where these clowns staged their protest. Barriers were erected, guns were locked and loaded and these scumbags put the CHILDREN in their group at the front, as some kind of shield. They disrupted the lives of a huge part of the city because so many of us cross on a daily basis, to school, work, etc. I've got several stories of how awful they were in the slum they set up in front of the bridge...

We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. IF it's done right, I don't think there will be many repeat offenders.

Well nothing like that, I live in Canada and can verify that. Problem is quality of immigrants, especially student is trash in Canada, Australia and Europe. They come to shady universities for studies, work full time both legally and illegally rather than studying and at end of their education, they have a fake degree with zero value. Just like most of the new graduates in India who have a degree with no practical value. \nIf you have a good degree, right skills in tech and some experience, there are tons of opportunities in Canada. I cuss Canada everyday but that's because I lived 10 years of life - studies and work in USA. So whether I move to Canada or any other country in the world, I would do the same as US has no equal in the world. I lived in US for 10 years, then India for 3 years and came to Canada 3 years back. I would still move to India after getting Canadian citizenship, but not because Canada has something bad or India has something exceptional to offer, but because I want to live with my parents in India. Thats the reason I left US but came to Canada to get a backup.

One point: you can survive with US healthcare *if* nothing major happens. I know of one case in the US a number of years ago where a young woman could not pee -- which is a major, major healthcare emergency -- and she had no health insurance. A friend of hers who did have healthcare insurance through her job let her (the woman with the major emergency) use her ID in order to get taken care of. That would probably not even be possible today, with computerized health insurance, but at the time it was a matter of paper ID.

The only thing that will get Trump to pull in his horns is for countries to respond with counter-tariffs that will HURT Americans big time. Trump said they don't need our energy. Let's shut down hydro electricity sales to the US and allow millions of residences and industry go dark in winter and wait for Trumps call to negotiate. The US NEEDS Canadian resources and we should use that to our advantage.

American citizen here. To all my Canadian comrades, I'm truly sorry that we have such a non sensible person as President. As true allies and partners of the US that you all beautiful and wonderful people have been since the dawn of time, it's embarrassing for me to hear of these horrid tactics from our current administration.

The post-war world order is now over. It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. Sadly, it is more likely that we will allow the Americans to divide and conquer us... literally!

My country has been to dependent on US we in asia should also find other partners in europe. japan, south korea, singapore, philippines and taiwan we are all dependent on US if trump continues this we will also be affected. Its time to partner with other countries other than US.

Consequences? I think Canadians are suffering the consequences of failed leadership just as we have here in the US. With the election of Donald Trump it's perfectly clear that the policies have changed here in the US. I wouldn't be too worried about the future of either countries at this stage. I predict by this time next year there we still be lights in my home, gas in my car, food on my table, and love in my heart for my Canadian brothers and sisters to the north. Future looks Bright! :)

it worked the first time he instituted these tariffs in 2016, I suspect it will work again, because Canada and Mexico have no real leverage. they can say they will fight back with their own tariffs but its a losing game for them because, they are a luxury for us. we dont need them. they need us far more than we need them. and thats why despite grumbling they caved in last time. they will do the same, you just have to let them get it out of their system like a toddler and try and save face for a bit.

We here in Canada don't care about the tough times that are coming, its not the first time we have been in tough times and we are not going to bend for the united states and Donald Trump, we're taking you Americans down with us

It's fine both Canada and Mexico has become a dumping ground for Chinese goods and rebranded to be sent to the US, they didnt do anything to curtail any of these. Now it's time for the US to drill its own Oil and Gas.

We should be able to make all our own products. It is too bad our great companies left the US. Time to bring them back. What the rest of the world doesn't understand is we don't need you

Its time for canada to diversify its economy. This is great opportunity for Canadians to reduce dependence on US .
