The cognitive dissonance is insane, she’s talking about people she knows like they’ve done a legitimate offense that they actually need to be deported for.\n\nBut Why deport them *before* giving them an opportunity to be documented.\n\ndeportations would be horrible on their own, but it’s this thinking that’s pure nonsense.\n\nSo many illegal immigrants are just regular people without paperwork, so it’s ridiculous to think they all need to be deported. When so many of them do honest work albeit not legally honest (though frankly idc)

I know young college and university grads who can’t find work. How are you to even buy a home? Homelessness is a reality for many.

Mz Lyan, both my parents are Chinese-Cantonese. They fought WW2 and earned their right as naturalized Canadians. I have spent many years in the US working high tech jobs and married an American. I love being Canadian and both my parents are planted in Ottawa. Canada has never question my Citizenship. My only beef with the Hong Kong Chinese money has made it impossible to afford living in Vancouver.\n\nLeave if you must but Canada will always welcome it's Commonwealth citizens.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

So many working families are broke and on the edge of homelessness that all they can do is wait for it to happen. I personally know many families living with that desperate reality.

What’s messed up is that she’s right, but wrong at the same time. She got lucky to only have to wait in line for days. What reason does she thinks her cousins, nieces, and nephews came here illegally for? It’s easier to seek asylum and work from there than to get a travel visa and apply and then just hope you don’t get deported or rejected. \n\nIt’s very telling when a yankee is interviewed and holds these sentiments- what kind of life they have lived. It isn’t out of the realm of imagination what situations many immigrants are coming from. Best case scenario they just lived paycheck to paycheck in an impoverished area. At least now they can live in an impoverished area where the government is only like 70% corrupt instead of 95% corrupt.

When you realize mkultra still interacts with citizens in Canada and even push people to suicide, since mkultra was even at Residential schools working with Jesuit priests and no health records have been recovered as of yet.\nGiving testimony, which is evidence of these ongoing programs, makes questioning our government's agenda, since remote neural monitoring, voice of god technology, in which Dr Robert Duncan worked on these projects and was a whistleblower.\nSo the governments concern over civilians while these programs with the catholics history has been targeting it's own civilians.\nConsidering the history of the catholics history with genetically modified foods as the jesuits created Monsanto, since obviously india kicked out what I presume were the catholics from Britian.\nThe church is relentless.\nYet even Indians natural medicines are more advanced than anything the vatican and jesuits have created.\nThe church never let's go, and your health system is way beyond anything created by the church, who even killed women historically to steal medicine.\nOur pm, should take care of our own terrorists who are the jesuit order, and those under their orders.\nOne must just look at their last name and family coat of arms, and most pharmacutical companies, have catholics in their quorum! \nIf our pm and any pm of Canada had it's own citizens as their concern they would have crushed these programs long ago,and they all have been made aware of these ongoing torture programs.\nThey have direct energy weapons even on their website where they torture people remotely, like the torture chambers of the Jesuits!\nSo Canada should take care of its own back yard and stop provoking the vaticans interest in India.\nYou do not want your youth to come here and study when your health knowledge is way beyond what we have already, they will be exploited and used!\nPerhaps even Remote neural monitored, which is on the health Canada and horizon website!\nTechnology is that advanced and perhaps the catholics are already in India again as many targets globally and India is included.\nAll Roads lead to Rome and it's system, their lies are deep and ongoing!

She is not wrong fully, I have met good sofesticated indians living in Canada and they say that people coming from mostly Punjab and Haryana have made a havoc in Canada. They are too loud, dirty and filthy. There is a big safety concers for Canadians and even Indian origin canadians in Canada. Even our people who have gone there to work legally say that they don't want any indian in Canada. I am living in Europe and I see the same thing. People from our country just don't have any civic sense, they are mostly very dirty and because of them, many people find it difficult to find a apartment. Before slamming that lady, we should think of ourselves and we should improve our nation first.

In Australia. Australia is not too far behind. Housing crisis.. extremely expensive. In Sydney we can’t afford even a studio. 5 ppl Sharing a house. Pay for every food delivery anywhere between 2 to 5 AUD. Any dish you order is minimum 18 AUD so a dinner for 2 is at least 40 AUD even at places like McDonald’s. Groceries are monopolised and they charge very high.. even 3 days of groceries will cost you between 50 to 80. And forget healthcare. It’s so expensive that we pray we don’t fall sick. The doctors too don’t give you real advise. Just prescribe tests blindly without analysing ur symptoms. In India if you find a good doctor, they will save u from getting too many tests. Ppl are depressed and are suffering from many mental illnesses. No sense of community. The only reason why we are here is to save up as much as we can. We are struggling, living in shared apartments in a small room.. we came here with a job without any money spent from our end and the only Reason it works is cz we are saving up for India and when we send money to family it’s cheaper due to currency exchange. We cannot afford the same lifestyle as India with our whole family here.

I am Spanish and I am currently working and residing in Germany. And I can affirm that the same racism or discriminatory attitude that many complain about is also projected onto other immigrants. In my work there are Pakistanis who form groups among themselves and do not want to know anything about the rest, they are an example. I have also seen this attitude in some Turks, who show off their cars to each other and behave in really fearful attitudes and driving.\nSo far the Germans I have dealt with, whether at the bank, my landlady or even the one I bought the car I have from, have treated me very well. Another thing is that as an immigrant who arrived 9 months ago, unfortunately I have not made any German friends my age (20 - 30s).

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

Pooping On beach, in the public pool, sexual harassment crimes happening everywhere, illegally net fishing salmon who came back to the river and lay eggs, peeing in public, hygiene problem in food industry everywhere and bring down the name of Tim Hortons and others, making noises everywhere, people (specially old people) gether aound at public parks and taking All the space and leave no place for other people to use, most of them are experienced by myself or my friends, so they are not fake news. And if there is an indian manager at any work place, then there are no chances for other people but indians. Need more reasons ? That's already enough I think. If they are thinking or behave like you, my friend, I don't mind at all, I don't care how many they come here, but unfortunately, a lot of them causing problems. 5-10 % of 100k people is not bad, but 5-10 % of 3 million is not a small number.

Quater is even better especially for nurses. You can secure a job as a nurse in quater but in Egypt everyone will work as a slave ( doing cleaning and nanny jobs) with loads of other unpaid jobs on top of $400-500/ months. Am surprised you didn't add Egypt to the lists because our people are many there.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity. Those who leave are all looking for the brass ring it doesnt mean the US is the answer for some people it is. Funny we all expect what we need should be ours for the taking and we think if we dont grt it thay we are being cheated. The US is a larger market and if you have what they need you are likely to get more for it because of quality competition is high. It is here too just not as much choice. No one is holding you here things go in cycles eventually the real estate will find a level and people will start in better positions. Running to something may benefit you but running from life here is not gurantee of better things giving up is when you start to fail it isnt our governmemt the people or the country its in each of us as to what we want and weather they want to be in Canada or they don't its not the fault of tue country itd still top 5 on the planet peoples expectations are kust greater doesnt mean succesd is on the American side.

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. You are good neighbours, good people, you are welcome here and have helped build Canada in so many positive ways. ?

It's a lie, of course. He could not care less about them. He saw what happened in Jordan, Kuweit, Lebanon, when the Palestinians entered the place, and he doesn't want this to happen to his country. In Lebanon, Palestinians are unallowed to work in many professions, including law and medicine, and Saudi Arabia propped the Lebanese economy. He has no problems with hurting the Palestenians.

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. Hard and always ti achieve your goals.\n\n\nThere is such a thing as a labor market and everything coexists in balance. \n\n The only thing whether it's too hard for you or you will not give up ?.

I lived in Canada for half of my life and now live in the US. I have travelled around the world and the same issues Canada has are worldwide. Taxes, increase in prices (groceries, gas etc), homelessness are world wide issues. \nSocialized medicine what was once thought to be the greatest is disappointing at best. Long wait times, lack of doctors in rural communities and poor pay for many doctors are having them head state side. \n\nI hope you find your next country and it works out. Canada will always be home and you can always come back.

I am from the Balkans. I have been studying, living and working abroad since I was 18. Germany was the 7th country I moved to and the first country ever I felt unwelcomed at work- because of my Balkan origins. I must say I was rather shocked because being a very open, international professional with lots of experience, I thought something of this kind would never be even imaginable. However, outside of my work field I gained many german friends pretty quickly - friends for life ( no competition here, haha). 10 years later, I am still here and the situation changed to better - a lot. A mix of getting trust, learning the language, and getting more international colleagues. I am totally thankful to the health system - they saved my life. If I stayed in my country, I would have had serious health issues. I am thankful to the democracy, freedom of expressing, schooling system( so much better than in my times in Yugoslavia), salaries, and many other things Germany gave me. I am living a good life, best life any of my family members had in generations. I would like to stay here as long as it feels good for me and my family. Having a german father to my kids is however the strongest link to me feeling home in Germany -having a local within your family makes it all a lot easier.

Tap water in British Columbia is in fact the best in the planet, even with all its homeless problems. Another thing is that Amazon drops your packages at your door and I personally Neven have stolen. You can sleep in a crown land for free. People work a little less here but things are a little bit more expensive for rent and food and not many choices in Canada.

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

That is nice to have a lot of opportunities of works around the world. I don't think I could leave anything for negative purpose. You watch the dude beside, of course, he or she has much more spend time to build something with many reference, but he or she does better with a lower number of years to study. \n\nFor exemple, I watched the prime minister calling homophobic a sentence from someone without any right of speeking at a lower rank. People in the parlement have a wage over 100k per year to be on a seat, time is money, but they can't focus on their results. That tells me these people never live injustice and can't fight in the reality where everything is not fair and we have to make better despite all efforts are ruined by corruption. They don't need to have results on their decision. They know tomorrow, they will do a second chance and spend time make money.

Many Indians strive to move to developed countries, only to find themselves working tirelessly, often in grueling jobs. Despite living abroad, they tend to stick to Indian food, shop mostly at Indian stores, and save all they can just to vacation back in India. It raises the question—why go through so much, only to recreate the same life elsewhere? What’s the true purpose behind these sacrifices?

Its a shame to Canada as it issues so many student permit with work permit and treat them like shit when its in their control. Media and people in Canada have no clue of it. They spend 20 to 30k$ on each student permit. Why would Canada issue the student permit then?
|
| 2024-09-26 | 0 |
This is a reaction to the potential loss of their student visas, not some jumping the queue scheme. The changes in the student visa system has created this temporary panic. A student who is in second or third year has already spent a lot of money to get an education and then lose that money and not have a degree. The years and money would be lost, then they would have to go through the process again in other country has caused this. Many of these student will remain as students and get their degrees and go home as they have in the past. Our university have had foreign students forever and it has worked. The anti-immigrant trolls should be ashamed. We are all immigrants here, unless we are aboriginal so we shouldn't point fingers. People are coming to Canada because it is their best chance for a future. Your ancestors though so too.

And yet they protest in droves on Canadian soil with no shame at all, its sickening to see our nation bend down to these weak scam artists who take short cuts. Many hard working Canadians including my immigrant patents and myself worked hard in the early 80s to make ends meet and to integrate into this peacful landscape as if it was our own without any baggage of the Country we left. We also did not take shortcuts my parents came over with not even a degree and through their perseverance and hard work gained a threshold for us to survive and thrive.

The problem in Australia was less about cheap labor (although our farmers are still exploiting backpackers and anyone else they can dupe) and more about fake students who have come here to work illegally and get PR. Award wages mean nothing to many Indian business owners in Australia and the education agents in India continue to lie to prospective students who want to come here. Journalists who try to track the shonky operators down are met with thinly veiled hostility in the rare cases that they find the people behind the scam.

YGood day. For from context I'll reveal a little about me. I am around 27% Indian, 34% northern African people which is around 61% combined. My other ancestry includes Wales, Sweden, Norway Scottish and Irish, Hebrew/ jew as in from 12 tribes of Israel, However, the world calls me black Jamaican born. I live in small town with population under 41,000 people in northern Ontario Canada for past 21 years. I remember when I came here with company contracted to build and say very few black people mostly French African and some mixed black with some Chinese probably total under 20 people other than white or indigenous peoples. Over the years was steady increase of black, Chinese, Philippino, and my Indian doctor and his family to maybe total around 50 none white none indigenous peoples. Just before pandemic we had a large number of Indian students which was awesome to see considering my heritage as my grandmother on dad side was Indian. But a year before pandemic we noticed many started working in convenient stores and fast food places like most high school students do to save for college/university which was becoming a problem for Canadian students as some employers got incentives or cheaper labour to maximize profits. As pandemic rolled in so it seems more Indian students from other regions in Canada. So, Canada, Ontario, and small town I reside already had huge housing problems as some homes we even to be condemned and indigenous homeless from north increased crime rates and now we had students living beyond building code occupancy with shared living causing rentals to shoot up in prices as landlords became greedy and selfish. This small town of under 41,000 is by some estimates over 55,000 by increasing Indian students who for past 5 years fighting to get permanent residents even though they came as students which proves the goal was always invasion and coming as students was the ticket. If you and rest of new immigrants don't see the problem yet, I'll continue. 95% of taxis have Indian drivers, 98% food and other delivery Indian, 90%+ convenience and groceries, clothing and all stores 90%+ , vehicles on roads 70% Indian, my son barely got into college with 90%+ Indian population in college and his class is 2 white students, himself only mixed , and 2 Africans and 22 Indian students who cheats on a regular basis but professor afraid to confront as they are quick to call racism. But even bigger for me is these Indian students/new immigrants have no respect for the history of Canada and USA not knowing how indigenous peoples were raped tortured and murdered to take over this country and then enslaved African people to build this country while they raped tortured treat less than animals and still suffering with fighting for equal rights for over 400yrs while still being racially profiled and beaten and murdered by police officers because of this colonizers system. Now you come here and benefits from black and indigenous peoples struggles and claiming rights when you have not been fighting the battles with us or for us. Also, the criminal aspects of your community is not being taked about as well which includes extortion to businesses owned by Indians, car thefts, drug trafficking, human trafficking and other criminal activities. There's so much more than just saying you feel unloved by the people you're taking things from for their children and grandchildren and generations without showing any respect as that is defined as selfish. You and many new immigrants forget this is not India and expect everyone to bow to you and that is what we are against. i Have some awesome friends that are new immigrants and are respectful and want to learn about history and current events and impacts they have and how to reprove Canada not destroy Canada

The liberal government will meet its waterloo just like they did in Ontario... The liberals have strayed away from common sense immigration policies. Take students in with their spouses, let them work as many hours as they want. Give them permanent residence, let them take the rest of their families here. Open the gates for rich southern Asians to buy up franchises, development companies, hotels etc. that will only hire their own. We are doing so much better now....

If they also remove the work permits for students, many will stop coming for the wrong reasons.

I work in two trucking companies and many drivers are Indians and are always very nice to me. I don't have a problem with them coming here to Canada to live and earn a good living . BUT please obey the same laws as we have here in CANADA this is OUR COUNTRY not yours. If you cant obey by our laws than you have no rights to our country.\nThis is suppose to be a peaceful country BUT now its becoming a war zone for everybody from different countries entering here and thinking they can come and change our country good looks and laws to fit them.\nWell I say you don't like our laws than go back to your country and stay there. We have laws and we must obey them so what makes you think you can get away with your crap that your trying to shove down our throats.\nWe took you all in all thanks to the dam Liberal/NDP, which this should have been done slowly and got people that can help grow Canada instead we have unknown crimmmals that are now somewhere in our good country killing children and people. This is why now Trudeau is trying to reverse his wheels by sending a few back to thier countries. But good luck with that Trudeau/Liberals' /NDP

Yes, it is political, the Canadian gov't forgot who they worked for and who was paying the tab. Canadians have now decided to take back control from that gov't. I am a 10th generation Canadian (many here longer) and I have never seen Canadians this pissed off and tired of having our money spent where we do not want it to go, policies we do not want and we have decided to change things, this is only the beginning, keep watching.

Well as a American here for 10 years i have found that yes you do need to meet the requirements that are needed to work in this German country , learn the language and keep your skills up to date. Why do so many have a issue with it ? You have moved to another country with different work mind set. I also have been welcomed by everyone i meet . So i am confused by some of the comments here .

Go to Ukraine, the country is issuing all sorts of work permits for the Indian men and women! Especially for truck drivers, tractor operators, snipers, machine gun specialists and for the ladies many cooking and sowing positions! I repeat Great Opportunities for the Indian folks! Don't be shy go NOW!

I appreciate your balanced view of the complicated situation. I have met so many Indians who contribute everyday to making Canada an even better place to live. So thank you. I too blame the government for ignoring the social consequences of such a large influx of immigration in too short of a time. But mostly who I blame are the brokers who are scamming hard working and hopeful young people to come over to Canada and are ripping off them and their families. Thank you for your thoughtful insight.

While legally they have no rights to protest, this government was complicit in selling the dream to the international student. They were told this is a pathway for pr and many did receive PR following that process.\nFunny thing is that I know international students continue to arrive. That’s because the government probably promised these colleges more victims to pay high tuition fees.\nEveryone is scamming everyone.\n\nRightfully or wrongly this government decided we need more people in the country. This is for economic reasons. Also Canadians were happy to receive Covid handouts and we had a labour shortage.\n\n\nOnce can check how much money it cost the Canadian government to raise someone to tax paying age. Consider the child care, school, afterschool programs, post secondary funding , etc.\nWhen you bring an adult from India, it cost government nothing and you have a tax paying individual from the day they land here .\nLet’s look at the full picture before blaming international students.\n\nGoing forward you can make a rule that international students cannot ever work here or apply for PR, nor apply for refugee .Then they will stop coming

As long as we have a homeless problem and a lot of people living paycheck to paycheck as well as so many people can't find work ,we should close the door for the next twenty years.

In the field i work in....i find those of the Indian culture....not all.....but many....are arrogant....and act like we owe them some kind of special respect just because they are immigrants!! Again this is a cultural problem....has nothing to do with race!!

Hi… I totally agree with just about everything you stated in all aspects of the Indian community. I’m a Canadian who happens to be living in Brampton for the past 12 years. I’ve watched Brampton go from a beautiful community to a dark dreaded place to live , and this is truly because of Indian behaviours. Mind you I have many genuinely good intelligent respectful Indian friends, but there’s the others that thinks they owe the city, province, and country. They don’t respect no one, and I mean no one. NOT EVEN THEIR OWN KIND (Indians/ Punjab). And yes as a Canadian citizen whenever I see something I do call them out on it. However; the moment you say something to them they assume that you’re cursing at them and what was ment to be a respectful comment becomes a situation where they want to argue and even get into a physical fight. Then there’s the bad, careless driving on the streets with no regards to the next person’s life. They drive like their car is the only one on the street yet always looking for someone to race with not to mention the illegal U-TURN creating major accidents. I personally experienced this when a Tractor Trailer Driver tried making a U-TURN on the city street with only 4 lanes for both direction at 4AM in the morning. This caused me to almost ran under the trailer body which would have been the end of my life. They butt into lines and interrupts as much as business conversations thinking their concerns are way more important than anyone else’s and That’s just to name a few things.\nNow on the other hand I do have VERY GOOD RESPECTFUL INDIAN FRIENDS who I will never let go of our friendship because of their genuine respectful relationship although even those close friends are now pulling themselves away from their own country people and all because of the others behaviour.\nThirdly; YES, the Canadian government invites foreign students into the country with improper sources to monitor and direct a governing body to monitor and process the activities of foreign students .\n\nI love your honesty in your stories back your video clips as proof of your country men behaviour. Keep up your good work and try spreading your positivity among your community.
