It's all good when you're a greedy landlord collecting rent, or a crooked private college collecting thousands of dollars. These are young kids who are being exploited by our country. On the other end of the spectrum, you have single occupancy residents living in multi-million dollar mansions with no declared income. We need targeted immigration strategy isolated to each province. We need provincial and municipal governments to start building affordable public housing again as they did in decades past. Expecting private developers to build housing is ridiculous. Yes!!!! I was in lecture halls filled with International students, not many Canadians in some of them, that was 2009-2010. And immigration, plus International students coming in more than ever. \nMy son in law said over 50% in his classes at Queens were International students. There were big efforts to recruit more from India. \nImmigration itself, is also out of control. We need a moratorium until we can catch up with infrastructure and homes for those who piled in by the millions this past decade.

I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... Hey these are my last 15 days in Canada I have everything here good job but we are moving back for my son. Here zero social life for immigrants unless u have your relatives here already. Mg son goes to school for 4 hours and rest of the day we try to keep him busy in activities at home but we are humans too , not everyday we can keep him busy all the time away from I pad TV. I was born in Toronto and bought a house in Ajax in 2013 (before the housing market exploded). \n\nEverything you said in your video is correct. As a new comer, I know it’s hard to advance your career, make friends or buy property. \nMy son is 23 and will probably never be able to own a home and he wants to leave Canada for a better quality of life. \nRaising taxes, high rent, the failing healthcare system, and poor quality of life (plus the cold weather) are all factors that should make immigrants NOT want to come here. \n\nAs far as making friends, you hit the nail on the head. People in Canada are polite, but not friendly. I find it the same here in Toronto. You’re most likely to build friendships with people you work or go to school with. I feel we lack the sense of “community” and don’t put in as much effort to maintain friendships. \nI blame the weather for this.

I left two years ago for most of the same reasons you guys mentioned and I have absolutely no regrets!! AH, my son is so happy and so am I. We have a much better life overall. Better quality of living, better community, more family and most of all a better Islamic upbringing for my child, AH ❤️

This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

After living in the GTA for 36 years, I moved back to the Ottawa area and it was the best decision I've ever made. My son moved to Ottawa and lives right downtown in his own 1.5 bedroom apartment paying only 1600. He can walk to all the amenities that he needs. I'm in a small town just outside of Ottawa, where everything I need is only a 4 min drive away. I can walk to most places. Within minutes, I'm out in the countryside surrounded by farms and forest. TO was great for my career, but not a good place to be retired. Unless you and your partner make over 150K, Toronto is not affordable.

i moved to the uk two years ago with my 5 boys and wife. the opportunities in the UK were just too large to ignore for myself and my wife. and partially my step son. myself and my wife both got higher salaries for the fields we were already in and football is more important in the UK than canada where hockey is the dominant sport. it took along time to adjust. but overall recently my wife and i took a romantic trip to london this past new year’s eve and we both agreed this was the best decision for our family and children. we are happier here in the UK than we were in Ontario. and that’s what it’s about. quality of life. go back to canada? I have 3 sons, Canadian engineering grads. A nuclear engineer, an electrical engineer, and software engineer....each making about $85 to 100k and all they can buy are $500-600 homes....semi's that are garbage. If they were in Michigan they'd make 100k and buy a home for $250k. Canada has serious problems.

I am sick of governments in western countries kow towing to a minority....middle eastern people.\nWhen are the goverments going to wake up and start taking back control of their countries instead of allowing muslims take over?\n\nI find it astounding that our governments opened the gates as it were, and allowed muslims in their droves to immigrate to UK, US and Australia etc. And now look what is happening...\n\nIf any politicians listened to learned speakers such as, the son of hamas founder, Brigitte Gabriel and or Douglas Murray, then they would be more informed as opposed to ill informed about muslims and the ideology they believe in, evil in disguise.\n\nWhy are the members of the UN not asking themselves, 'why are surrounding middle eastern countries point blankly refusing to take in palestinian refugees'?\n\nBut, how stupid are the leaders of western countries saying oh yes we will take the refugees, we feel sorry for them oh and let's also give them financial assistance. Come to Australia we live in western Victoria side.islamic culture and community two mosques near us and three islamic schools.\nTrying to make my son Alim along with other secular degrees \n\nBut yes inflation is here too but two people working can have good life if you are not greedy of becoming a home owner and have big cars. I’m not Muslim, I’m Christian. However, I feel the same way for many aspects- the culture is lost, being able to speak freely about your faith and be around other who believe the same. Your number 1 reason to leave Canada is something I have been seriously thinking of too. When I first came to Canada it played a peace-keeping role. Gone are those days, it’s tearing me apart, being a part of such a country. I came from India about 40 years ago. And, everyone knows what is the present condition of India. In Illinois, this Palestinian mother and 6 year old son were brutally stabbed by their landlord after he heard the lies from Israel. The mother pulled through, but this happy little boy did not.\nAnother story came from Texas, where a Palestinian doctor was also stabbed outside her home for the same reason. She did not make it. There are other stories, but I will say my husband, who is not yet in the US yet, that I would wear my underscarf and then an appropriate hoodie for my scarf. EVERYTHING is covered. I believe staying in a Muslim country where you have freedom to practice your religion freely ..a religious environment .. Absurd. How can the cost of living be high in one of the most thinly populated countries in the world? There is unlimited room to build more housing. Then again, Justin's father made Cuba poor, so the son is doing the same up north.

I have seen a few influencers leave Canada and go to Dubai. You work from home so it might be easier. My son is finishing high school here in the U.S. He finishes in 1.5 years, and then we are done too. Chicago is dangerous and I want a more peaceful life. We have looked and Dubai is it.

Yet, we are now contemplating going back home. Because we now feel that the west is clinically soulless. We yearn to live in the warmth of the East again. I respect your decision to leave Canada. You have to do what is right for you and your family. I am not religious but I believe that all peoe have the right to believe as they choose. I also find that Islam is one of the most peaceful, loving religions there is. I too am very unhappy with my government for standing by and supporting the genocide of Palastine. I support President Biden and he has done many wonderful things but the support Israel by my government and president makes me infuriated. It is wrong. My now 19 year old son,my mother who lives with us and myself are looking to move as well. We want some place with winter so we can sky, and snowboard and do all things we love without having to travel two states over.
