Canada has so much space to house even 20 million more people. I mean per square inch Ontario is well bigger than the entire country of Nigeria, which boasts 300 million people...without an accommodation issue. What's wrong isn't an immigration issue because Canada advertised itself as appealing and immigration friendly, what's wrong is a housing and infrastructure issue. Canada quite simply needs to get to building

The Landlord and Tennant board is completely useless. \nIt’s time for a serious update to the rental laws in Ontario.\nThe biggest problem is that these freeloading dead beets know how to game the system and know every trick in the book to prolong the eviction process for years.\nI’ve had so many clients lose vast sums of money dealing with this nonsense.\nSo glad I sold my last rental property so that I don’t have to deal with this insanity.

Erosion of National Identity\nBy 2036, immigrants are projected to make up about\n30% of the Canadian population. By 2050, roughly half\nthe country’s population will be non-white. In some\nareas, these projections have already been reached or\nsurpassed. In Brampton, Ontario, 65% of the population\nis South Asian. Richmond, British Columbia, became\nmajority Chinese in 2016. In Quebec, the French lan-\nguage is in serious decline because of large scale immi-\ngration.\nIf immigration targets remain unchanged, there will\nbe a dramatic change in the country’s ethnic, cultural,\nand linguistic composition. Many citizens, both native-\nborn and immigrants, will be uncomfortable with a\nchange at this rate and scale to the country they know and\nlove. To make matters worse, the successive federal gov-\nernments, which have overseen Canada’s policy of large-\nscale immigration, have never consulted Canadians on\nwhether they actually want this kind of change. -Druthers

ontario is not landlord friendly. Invest in property in the US

To get ahead in Ontario, you have to become a criminal.

When Ontario becomes a Caliphate Canadians will rebel.

He’s not a first victim. Tenants are exploiting, F**** Up the law because in Canada there’s no such law. Govt. of Ontario (Conservative), Govt of Canada (Liberals and NDP) all by purpose shut their eyes therefore local investors are running away from Canada, and foreign investors is not even looking to Canada. There’s no protection for homeowners and investors in Canada.

Thankfully the Liberal Government is forcing Landlords to report their Tenants rental history to the Credit Bureaus. Also, the Bad Tenants List on Facebook is useful. Might be time for property owners in Ontario to lobby the Province to take on the Alberta model; after 14 days of non-payment the Sheriff is sent to remove your trash.

Hello family, who has an experience with Passage loan at APR 11.95% compounded? My sister intends applying for a one year program with George Brown College and is mandatorily taking a loan of 57000 CAD$ as an international student with 84 months tenor to clear. Pls share any experiences on the ease of paying loan as a student with one year PGWP in Ontario after graduation. Your suggestions would be highly appreciated. If there are more affordable pgwp eligible colleges in hospitality with high acceptance rate, let me know.\n\nThanks to Peter and all of you you.

I call it the fucking armpit of Ontario.

As a 32 year old male born in Kitchener, Ontario. This mass immigration is killing our country. With so many immigrants from India that (as a whole, not every Indian) do NOT assimilate to Canada and our culture has us pretty upset. It’s making our housing crisis worse and killing our economy. Canada is not the same country I grew up in and it’s changing fast before our very eyes. We are losing our image, identity and our culture. For my argument, we get called a racist for pointing this out about the mass Indian immigration. They immediately combat us saying “look what you did to the natives” like come on… The truth is, we’d call out anyone else from any other country.

A big part of the problem in Ontario at least are the huge numbers of foreign students. The government of Ontario allowed a large number of fly by night schools to open up to attract foreign students with the promise of a high quality Canada education. The schools charge the foreign students very high tuition, but give very poor service. They have no student housing, no proper campus and often don't even have classrooms or lecture halls that can handle the number of students they have enrolled. The students end up paying a fortune for a second class education, it is little more than a scam.

Immigrants come from ALL countries. So it's not one group over another. This isn't about race. I know, very hard for the Left to grasp that concept. It's about integration. About our own Canadian culture. Our own Canadian values. Brampton Ontario, Surrey BC, Richmond Hill BC, Markham Ontario and so on. When new immigrants are told they don't have to integrate into Canadian culture, learn our languages English or French, share our Canadian values, or wave our Canadian flag. But instead, they are allowed to build their own mini countries within our Canadian borders, then Canadians are slowly losing Canada. One city at a time.

A Chinese lady launched a registry for bad tenants in Canada. Most of the data is pulled from BC Courts and Ontario LTB. If a landlord files paperwork about a bad tenant at the board, it will appear in the registry. Landlords can use it to vet prospective tenants. Its free. She created it after a bad experience she had on her rental property in Richmond, BC. She works in IT so pulled it together.

Sorry, Canada is not just Toronto. There's enough space for everybody's... The solution is anywhere but Toronto(Ontario) for newly arrived immigrants.

seems like living in ONTARIO makes no sense
2024-08-10 0
I think Manitoba is the cheapest place to live. Atlantic Canada, houses might sound cheap but most of them very old. To get job also is difficult. More tax and less per hour salary in New Brunswick. But good only for seniors, who retired after working in Ontario or BC or other cities.

Only in Ontario. Never purchase a property with occupying tenants in it. As far as the government is concerned, you rented the property, you've given up your rights to the unit. That's it. The most stupid property law in the history of mankind. ???
2024-08-09 0
This is disgraceful. The Ontario government should be ashamed. Instead of spending $250M on a beer store deal, why not put that into capacity at the LTB?!? It amazes me how we vote for these clowns who don’t understand capital allocation

In Alberta province u dont pay rent for a month u will be kicked out. \nSo why cant Ford governments bring same law to ontario.
2024-08-09 0
This will result in increased squalling and unpaid rent because they know they can when Tribunals Ontario doesn't do anything to protect landlords. Our liberal government is garbage.
2024-08-09 0
As a former Ontario landlord, key word being former, DO NOT RENT ANY UNITS OUT IN ONTARIO! Rent is the only thing the government allows you to steal. If I owned a corner store and I caught people stealing candy bars from me, then found out it takes at least a year to get a hearing with the CandyBay Tribunal to force thieves from walking off with my candy bars.....I WOULD STOP SELLING CANDY BARS! If you are renting a property in Ontario, your tenants could stop paying you. Then use 'Cash For Keys' to extort you for dozens of thousands of dollars, in plain words, EXTORTION. This is the cold reality of Ontario, find another way to make money....

Sad part is Jagmeet Singh is pushing for MORE tentant rights to make this even more difficult. I'm dealing with similar situation, massive repairs stiffed on rent, thankfully it's not Ontario or BC. If they ever go to buy a house now they will have outstanding court order against them.

It works both ways. A lot of illegals from Latin America are also passing thru the U.S. enroute to Canada. Thousands are seeking refugee status upon arrival into Quebec or Ontario. Toronto is already bursting at the seams with tens of thousands of refugees plus new immigrants arriving every year. Add in a lack of affordable housing and jobs, and you have the makings of a disaster just like NYC.

Education in Ontario comes under Ontario's provincial government. Their actions directly effect students and teachers.
2024-08-09 0
Keep voting for lefty politicians, Ontario. This is what you get.
2024-08-09 0
I don't find there is any political will to fix the issue. Landlords in ontario should not rent out their properties until the govt fixes the problem..
2024-08-09 3
Order says to move out by Aug 18. Not only is she able to appeal, which will be granted for any reason she can invent, but even if this doesn't happen he still has to schedule the sheriff to physically perform the eviction which is minimum 8 to 10 weeks out. This is one of the causes of the housing market in that people with units available to rent won't do so because they are scared of this happening to them. Literally thousands of units across Ontario go vacant due to the broken LTB.

This rug pull comes to you courtesy of your PROVINCIAL government and their provincial minds. All the LANDLORDS can thank FORD for the stitch up they find themselves in. \nYou really gotta hate yourself to be a landlord in Ontario. \nRemember to return the favour at election time
2024-08-09 0
Only big landlords with staff can really run rentals. Mom and pop landlords have no respect and are targeted. Well, Millennials need to pay higher rents. Everybody ends up paying for theft. So many homeless in southwestern Ontario right now. Bad tenant culture right now. They ride high on abuse but then no one wants them.
2024-08-09 0
Renting is the worst business in Canada. And the Toronto, Ontario and Canada Governements wonder why there is shortage of rental accommodations. I can easily accommodate one family in my home. But I know if there is an epidemic like Covid and the tenant does not pay the rent, I will be screwed. And rather than have a plan that can enable a tenant own a home, the Governments mentioned have plans that will make the landlord bankrupt and become a tenant! The tenancy laws are bad, bad, bad!
2024-08-09 0
Ontario the horrible. New Brunswick has it where the tenant would have 7 days to pay or 14 days to move out once the eviction is posted. Plain and simple.
2024-08-09 0
Canada government should not bring any people for the next 4 years. And if they bring people they should stay other provinces for atheist 5 years not Ontario province specially TORONTO.
2024-08-09 0
The tenant has not paid rent or utilities for 4 years! The Landlord /Tennent Board is a joke in Ontario. The tenant is playing the system, she knows the Landlord /Tennant Board is an ineffective government organization. Why would anyone invest in a rental property in Toronto? You could wind up like these people.
2024-08-09 0
This is ONTARIO it’s ridiculous
2024-08-09 0
Landlord Tenant board is a joke and should be called Tenant Board. Since PC govt came in power two housing minister have made situation worse for small landlords. There are less adjudicators than 6 years ago and applications take upto a year before learning takes place. Even then, any excuse by tenants is tolerated but landlord suffer. I will not invest any more in Ontario. It is a very very bad place and PC govt does not care. I do not know what housing minister does all day. Sad.
2024-08-09 0
And you wonder why so many condos are left empty, units and presale not selling, and landlords withholding basement units. Thanks tenancy boards of Ontario and BC
2024-08-09 1
Lesson learned, NEVER NEVER RENT IN Ontario, and especially Toronto...
2024-08-08 23
Why can’t we sue the Ontario Tenancy Board for delays in hearing? They should be held liable as much as the bad faith tenants…
2024-08-08 0
I think it would be better if someone cannot afford to live in Toronto then to relocate. Living in Ontario is expensive especially in Toronto. I also think that is a lot of money she owes.\n\nRegarding myself I have an idea of how expensive Ontario is, but I have not visited all of the Canadian provinces, so I am wondering what life is like in different parts of Canada.
2024-08-08 0
I am in BC and it took 3 to 4 months to see the Residential Tenancy Branch to hear my case before an Arbitrator and I won. Hopefully the laws in Ontario are better. In B.C. the Residential Tenancy Branch cannot enforce monetary orders. This means the Tenant doesn't have to pay despite an order for payment from the Residential Tenancy Branch. You then have to go to small claims court which is another long process.
2024-08-08 0
Ford’s own personally hand picked appointees who sit on the Landlord & Tenant Board are obviously incompetent, and don’t care about tenants or landlords in Ontario.
2024-08-08 0
A million newcomers to Ontario alone in 2023. And most came to Southern Ontario, of course!?‍?⏫️????‍♀️
2024-08-08 0
There isn't enough housing and it's all inflated now!⏫️?? In Southern Ontario the price of homes & rent has doubled in only 10 years time! It's supply & demand.???

I know one Indian who just get work permit in Ontario, but he can't find the job so he decided to buy a 30K car and become Uber driver. Questions: why Canada give him Work Permit???
2024-08-08 0
Never ever vote for the Conservatives, PP is just Canada’s trump. Ontario conservative government basically shut down the protection of all rentals allowing the landlords to charge whatever they want….!
2024-08-08 0
It’s not safer. lol. There’s still murders happening here. My ex was rapped and murdered last year. I live in Woodstock Ontario more serial killers here than the rest of the country. lol and it is compact. Most of Canadas population is in sourthen Ontario. Not many people live more then 2 hours away from border.
2024-08-07 0
The only way from Toronto is Niagara Falls and you have to cross a bridge with lots of border agents. So Toronto isn’t the problem. We have Lake Ontario surrounding our boarder\n\nBtw our planes flew with yours. Not needing you But HELPING YOU when Russia flew close to ASASKA !!! DO BETTER RESEARCH!! \n??propaganda ??‍♀️

I don’t think it is anti immigration in general, it is more anti Indian immigration. Look at Brampton and many other parts of Ontario and BC Almost no diversity in some cities. It doesn’t feel like Canada. Every Tim Hortons, truck drivers, many Indian international students, gas stations. Look at the job fairs, mostly Indians. What happened to diversity.

some news reporter said that crossing the boarder is a 10 min walk across that field showed. Id like to know how exactly it is that these migrants WALKED across THE SAINT LAWRENCE RIVER which divides canada from northern Us STATES. There is NO WAY any cab from Ontario is going to be allowed to cross the border with a bunch of immigrants in it.\nTHIS POST IS A FULL ON LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
