I'm an immigrant looking to get my PR, I have qualifications from one of the top universities in the world, experience as an international consultant and most important I do respect the Canadian culture and follow the rules. However, even for me it is uncertain what is going to happen? and/or if the government will make more changes and kick us out hahaha. I do believe that immigration has poured a lot of money into Canadian's pockets and most of them are not considering that, some of that money is going to go to another country who is willing to manage immigration with a better approach and provide a more certain perspective to new immigrants. The government allowed many bad actors (locals and foreigners) to take advantage of the system and those who are going to pay the bill are new immigrants due to political elections, and that is just sad. We will see who are they going to blame for mismanagement of public resources and the possible crash of several industries, that are currently relaying on foreign money, once there are no new immigrants to blame. I agree with most of the new rules regarding immigration, but I strongly disagree with the political approach of how the government is blaming immigrants for their lack of proper management. I am an Indian, came here for ML research. Was unpleasantly surprised to witness so many unskilled Indians ruining the country. Uneducated, can't speak English, rude, unkempt. Like I love my country but I also love the country I immigrated to. I know tons of Indian friends like me who feel the same way. We all feel like we scammed ourselves into coming here. Every doordash and uber guy in Toronto is an Indian guy, who probably came here through a diploma mill. Why did Canada let this happen? I’m a Canadian citizen. I married a Jewish African woman. And helped her get her citizenship after we got married here in Canada. Then we stood outside in the -20 degrees c freezing cold in a long lineup of good people trying to get their citizenships like my wife, all legally obeying the laws of Canada. What I was talking about before is we here in Canada have been suffering from over taxation, extremely high rental rates, high food costs, greatly reduced medical care (My Mom died recently from lack of proper med care resources). They put her lonely dying body in the hallway where she was robbed of her cell phones, money, food and respect. Due to migrants and illegal immigrants overloading the beds and rooms pouring in from other countries. they drained our existing medical system resources and much more. Drug addicts who overdosed on Fentanyl they take first and push all other patients aside. Doctors take them first before helping a dying mother, father, brother or sister, infant and children pushed aside to save a drug addicts life first. I have been told many times this is also do to them taking care of the pouring in migrants and illegal immigrants using it all up. Where is love and justice? When we immigrated to Canada we had to pass english exams, health checks and paid a lot of money. We came here and are grateful to be here. We did not come here to demand that our culture and religion be respected. We gave this up. I heard on my visit to Canada earlier this year for vacation the same thing, BUT you talked to Canadians who were obviously unemployed/with no skills and homeless (at least it seemed like that, my apologies if that was not the case. All immigrants should respect the local law and do not impose their culture in adopted land. I believe that Indians come to Brampton because they find their own kind of people there and feel that they will not feel any racism, mind you it happens everywhere. Racism in parts of Canada is very much there. \nI stayed in Toronto with a friend and noticed almost 99% of tenants there were chinese, and no one was speaking English.
