I see a lot of comments which are mostly against the international students and are some racist as well. I can understand the pain of Canadian and i am also a canadian now (immigrant), It is a total mess created by the government where government used international students as the cash cow from past 7-8 Years. Its the fault of both sides but the major culprit is the government. I was a also a new immigrant to canada in 2012 and I thanks alot to the open arms welcome for the immigrants by the canadians but when you put a pinch of salt in food its taste good and its was all good until 2015-16. but the government started putting the full carton of salt in small bowl of soup which made the food bitter now not just for the canadian generation but the immigrants which moved to canada before 2016. I hope in the next coming years things will change for canadians. In the last I would, If someone don't wants to welcome me in his home then I should not enter to his home. we should respect that where ever we should go not just canada, it applies to any part of the world and to everyone.

When so many immigrants enter a country that its infrastructure can not handle the increased population, people start to be anti-immigration. People who are not the majority race and culture, are easy targets for people who are frightened by the rise of homelessness and crime, and loss of employment. In Canada, even in small rural towns, long established residents see that their children can not find work, or housing, while obvious immigrants are everywhere as waitresses, cashiers, and other unskilled jobs which their children used to do when starting out. On top of that, many Canadians can not find a family doctor, and our healthcare system is strained to the breaking point. People are frightened, and want the government to tighten immigration policies. I think that our government did not consider all the factors when it opened the door so wide for immigration. Now it has to take a step back, and ensure that the infrastructure is in place before immigrants arrive in Canada, not be forever trying to fix the problems after they have caused havoc!

To be Frank no one in the world think Canadian education is better. And no Canadian institutions or government think they are providing some kind of top quality Education. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

If indians are studying and are having better life as compared to so called Canadian born citizens then they should learn from indians that how to do hard work ? not the hard drugs. We have exactly the same problem here in the UK. Politicians talk tough on immigration but when they get in power and see the books, they open the borders.\n\nWhat do i mean by the books. yes canada is not racist and no one can make such generalization. however it is clear by many comments that racism clearly exists. international students are not just from india. they are from many countries. many come from nigeria also but rebel news or harrison and others would not say one word against anyone who is black. if all these people were from uk or europe then would this even be an issue to anyone? be honest. i am not taking sides. i been in canada for 40 years and my loyalty is to canada and for sure i would say there was lot of racism when i came in 1988. from grade 6 to 9 life was terrible here. things changed over time and my kids have not experienced racism for most of there life here but now i am seeing the bullies type that i faced are returning more and more especially online. rebel news and harrison (forgot his last name) are motivating such people. i had 2 racism incident in last few months. majority of indians are not trouble makers and are amongst the richest community in all of canada with the lowest crimes. many indian doctors, nurses, IT sector, engineers etc... now where does the problem lie. it is with poor immigration policies which lowered its standards. the requirements has to be raised higher and highly educated bunch is who we should bring in. many people from punjab india are involved in crimes and drugs and these are the people involved in the separatist movement and jagmeet and justin brought them in for votes. they need to go and so do those who are not loyal to canada. those of you who are racist i can give you a history lesson of the kkk or the crusaders but i know too many good people who i rather not group with you. in fact there is no need to go that route. you can never get rid of all blacks or indians out of canada. we have a history and we have every right to feel canadian as we obey and contribute to the economy and abide the law so f-off.

Temporary is temporary, you go home when your working permit or student visa expired. Simple as that! And you see, this is why I usually sympathize with Justin Trudeau. A portion of the population would like to see a decrease in immigration, another portion would like to see an increase in immigration because they benefit financially from it. There is absolutely no way to please everyone.

I thought the whole concept of Canadian immigration is to seek new settlements in other provinces that are lacking population. I wonder if the government are doing that to put immigrants in those provinces and to build a strong Canadian society, with a strong-hold economically throughout the country. But that includes having the immigrants agreeing to setup bases in rural areas that needs a build-up. It's literally a settlers 2.0. But I see that as an escape from another place that has nothing. No is pressured to doing anything, it's just being transparent in what will happen. And in another way, the citizens of Canada will see it as giving into the country.

I strongly believe that the government of Canada will never deport that much people, trust me! At the end of the day, the government will create a new immigration regulation to accomodate international students, just wait and see!

The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

Citizens of Canada are immigration friendly like any other country, until multi generational citizens start seeing their cost of living increasing, neighbourhoods changing around them, belief systems changing around them etc. Canada is struggling as a result. ?????????Look, there are people 'gaming' the system, here in B.C. there are a bunch of Schools that nobody ever really attends, they are old storefronts downtown... the windows are covered with paper so you can't see inside. Conviently there are 'immigration lawyers' offices right next door. There are reports that 'students' are recruited in certain South Asian countries, put into debt to the tune of $180,000 with the promise of being able to get residency and eventually citizenship. They are then put to work, in local businesses to work off this debt. There is a reason every single small business in my town is owned by a certain Southern Asian position group..\n Every single one, every gas station (even the one on the native reserve) every single fast food restaurant and they only seem to employ people of a certain population group... in my day that was called racism, but today it is just motivated by greed and exploiting their own people, which they have a long history of in their own country?????????

These young ones coming here, are different from Indians long ago or even a decade or as you said 5 years ago. They were never this type of people, or behave in the manner these do (disgraceful). I hope indians will reflect of what they're doing, like indian students, i see some of them don't pay on the bus, i had experienced when we were waiting in line in bus station, i see them cutting line, they were lucky because Canadians are polite, and just let it go, one time an indian male driver parks his car on where the bus pass through in bus station, in tim Hortons most of the time they give us the wrong order, and i always had a stomach Ache when i eat at tims, but i never had problems when i order from other coffee shops, only at tims, and in our neighborhood they throw their garbage on the side of train rails, and it was clean before the indian immigrants move in in our neighborhood? Canada is Ruined? but i know there are good indians out there who follow the rules, i hope their bad habits will stop its ruining the indian community

Most of Germans are really good people and friendly nothing against them but Germany itself is not immigrant friendly racism is pretty much on the rise ,low wages , little or no opportunities, my wife handles international clients and she says German client s are the worst in behavior they sound rude and entitled. If I'm a skilled person and want to move to Germany first and foremost you need to learn most difficult language in world and master it nothings wrong there but why would I when I could just go with English and move to other English speaking countries which offers more opportunities or atleast learn french that would be even more beneficial. Germany was known for it's low cost education system and other benefits it provide for students but sadly enough jobs are not there. If you want to attract international talent first atleast create an atmosphere for them but really sorry to say these but Germany feels hostile towards immigrants. Big MNCs are seeing all these and saying why are we here if we cannot hire international talent and slowly they are walking out of there and moving on to other countries ? and now you got serious issue here and people have only themselves to blame ?. Go taken out anti immigrant marches and go with conservative approach nothing new for Germany in the end German economy always ends up in toilet.

Hes acting as though he doesn't know how immigration got so high. Wasn't it his plan to bring 1.5 million immigrants by 2026 i believe? Nut if course he was looking for high skill people but the opportunity to come in on visitor visa and switch to work permit caused oman influx of Indians he didn't see coming.

Why do governments always see things 'in hindsight?' Regular everyday, working Americans and Canadians saw it YEARS AGO that this would happen. You can't let the floodgates open to anyone who wants to go to America, Canada, European Countries, without a PLAN in place to address it. There have to be limits, there has to be a PLAN!!!!! this is actually a really good summary of the situation. just like how India has their bad people who have caused problems we canadians also have similar people in who are just as troublesome if not worse such as the junkies on the streets who I see all the time here in Montreal and cause so much chaos. a big argument which I also feel like is that we should only allow the best of the best to immigrate to Canada. my mom was an immigrant and is an incredibly hard worker who is more than deserving of a Canadian citizenship and even my close friend who immigrated from India is just like that and is also 10x cleaner than anyone else I've ever lived with. the fact of the matter is that we need to bring back those high standards which we had in the past and crack down and send back those who abused the system and illegally entered the country. Immigrants with fake job experience in it sector, banks, workers showing fake pay stubs, fake offer letters with made up work experience, made up ielts centers. Opening up their own stores, farmlands, factories invading white canadians jobs. I BARELY SEE 1 WHITE CANADIAN IN EVERY COMPANIES. I immigrated to Canada from China eleven years ago. If Canada eleven years ago was what it is today, I would never give up everything I have in China and immigrate to this country. I plan to return to China next year, back to where I grew up. Compared to here, China has been making progress in the past ten years, and the most direct thing is that people's living standards are getting higher and higher, and they are safe. It is safe for a lady to walk alone on the street at midnight, and this is true because my family still lives in China. So, if you're not happy here, why not China. You can travel to there first to see the real China instead of beliving the fake news!

I look at faces in cars and all I notice are an abundance of East Indian, here in Halifax, do the test yourself, seams like every second vehicle, Go to Mall, go to the Park all I’m seeing is East Indian, these people are not compatible with the natural born Canadians. I. Spent the last thirty years in Vancouver (Priced OUT) This summer we have had a surge in Chinese Immigrants and the East Indians. What are the numbers ? Inappropriate action to allow this surge in this University City, Student will struggle finding accommodation. The established home owner won’t even notice but renter’s will, take a drive on moving day. There are 6 unrelated East Indian adults in a two bedroom unit, across the hall from my two bedroom. A Senior in low income housing. It’s all about MONEY MONEY MONEY ? Now tell me I’m a Racist !

Immigration per se is not bad, but too much of it, especially too much from one country alone, will offset the demographic balance and is always bad for the country. When my sisters' families drove over from the US to Toronto last month, they were shocked to find that Canada is overwhelmed by Indians! And bad, disrespectful drivers too! I didn't realize that because I was here all along, it needed fresh eyes to see the reality of what happened to Canada.

I have many friends who are 3rd generation Indians who speak the language and know the culture just as i do.\nThey do not try to turn Canada into india, and in turn they are accepted and respected by all.\nThe young indian students coming to Canada have been exploited in india by promoting a back door into PR status through the international student program and in Canada by employers who take advantage of their fear of deportation.\nThe blame lies on the recruiting in India, the post seconday system in Canada, the employers like Tim Hortons, uber, skip the dishes and door dash who put profits over living standards.\n The majority of the blame goes to the govt of Canada for turning a blind eye to something that everyone saw but didnt talk about for fear of being labeled a racist.\nReturn immigration to 500,000 per year including refugees, students seeking to stay and all other groups and you will see all will go back to how it was 10 years ago.\nPeace and love.

I am so thankful I have Greek and Macedonian citizenship. As soon as I'm done with my education, I'm moving back to Greece or Macedonia, somewhere there are hardly any Indians. I literally get lucky to see 4-5 white, black, or latinos a day in my city, the rest are all Indian, Pakistani, and Arabs. I don't feel like I'm living in Canada anymore, I feel like I'm living in the Middle-East. I only have 2 more years of university and then if I don't go to Greece or Macedonia, it'll be because there's too many Middle-Easterners there too, and I will go someplace like Korea or Vietnam, where there are practically no Middle-Eastern people. Sorry, but you're right about them being rude, and they act like they're entitled to everything. It's disgusting and I've had enough. The problem will only get worse even if we shutdown immigration, because there are so many here already, and they don't have kids, they have litters of 5-10 children per family. Soon the whole country will just be Middle-Eastern, just give it a few decades. If you can get out of Canada and go someplace else, I suggest you do now, before it's too late.

I fail to see the problem due to immigrants here. As was said at the end of the video, the immigrants themselves seem to be doing well. Getting jobs, setting in life, etc. It is the native born white people who seem to have given up in life and resorted to poverty, drugs and the resulting crime. Can somebody explain what am i missing here?

It speaks more about the white people being lazy than immigration if the white people are the ones going homeless and using drugs. ? \nDo you see Indians being homeless in Brampton? Maybe because they’re doing 2-3 jobs to make ends meet.\nAnyways. I’m tired of this influx of immigrants as well because our country is definitely getting hurt from it. The level of institutionalized racism here is mind-blowing. I came here for my masters. For context, I am an African female so I experience racism mixed with sexism often(a very draining combination) Anyway, after less than 2 months in a German university, i realised I wasn't at all welcome. I never got the grades I deserved and after several shocking exam results were released, i decided to challenge their decision and call for my exam scripts. Voila! Turned out I was right! I was being evaluated much harsher than my classmates. I'm still so grateful to my Indian friends who gave their consent for the inquiry board to compare the grading scheme used on the rest of the class to mine! Ever since that incident, I see the hate in their eyes, especially from my German classmates who are angry at me for demanding my rights. I've lost interest in this country ever since and can't wait to graduate and go somewhere else.\nDON'T COME HERE as a skilled immigrant or student! My school fees and every expense incurred to get this education is a huge waste! The quality of education is also shocking and shameful!
