I went to University in Seattle...beautiful, interesting city. I can't think of 1 reason why I would ever move to the United States. Canada is by no means perfect but I feel there are more pros than cons. Healthcare and safety are probably the top 2 pros. Born and raised here...proud to be a Canadian ????

not using email is not using outdated tech, we do have emails but most people including myself dont like using emails. I prefer talking to a human directly. Besides it was Canada that invented the phone. I am proud of my country's legacy and will stick with the phone. \nSpeaking of outdated technologies, email are outdated. The modern way to comunicate is by text because not only is it easy to read your text like emails but whenever they need comes you can switch to vocal and talk directly and if you want you canturn on your camera and see who you are talking to.... Cant do that with email.

I would never live there. A teacher friend of mine moved from Nova Scotia with her professor husband. She taught French at Virginia Tech. She and some of her college students were murdered by a gunman who burst into her morning class. Way too much gun violence there for me. Way too much political division. Way too much Christian conservative right evangelical ideology. Way too much disparity between the rich and the poor. Way too many people in general. Way too much emphasis on an individual version of freedom that does not take into consideration the greater good of others in society. I have two cousins who live out there, however. They have lived there for many years. One is a wealthy plastic surgeon in Florida and the other is retired in New England but also well off. She just proudly got her American citizenship, in fact. They love their lives there and would never move back to Canada. It really depends on the values of the person.

America is a beautiful country to look at, and I'm sure there are lots of beautiful people, but the arrogance of some of them is mind blowing. I recently watched the news footage of 911, I cried all the way through that, first out of compassion and next out of frustration. When people were jumping out of those towers, George Dubya was making a statement that terrorism would not stand in America. What did he think was standing in his face. The terrorists won that day. Then when they got Bin Laden He stands up and says we got him . Big deal you got one person , when there are dozens to take his place. No mention of other countries that helped them. , they have taken full credit for every war that ever happened. They wonder why the rest of the world hates that country. The sad thing is that 911 didn't teach them a thing. They brag about how they lost 3000 people and other countries only lost a few to terrorism. How sad that they think that way. You had a great president in Obama, but you have that 2 term rule and have been going downhill ever since. And our Canada's Prime minister is certainly nothing to be proud of. Politically he's no threat to anybody, but his own country. Mostly he is an immoral threat to his own country. But that's another vent for another day. I still pray every day for the world and that includes America, but I can't imagine what it will take to break them of that arrogance.

Now that they have buried themselves in critical layers, it would be impossible to yank them out.\n\nI have a good PCP who is booked 6-8 weeks out. Specialists? Hah. GI, neuro, and derm? The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? As an immigrant to Canada who's built a successful business here, I do feel the urge to defend Canada when I see these sorts of videos.\n\nThings are hard right now - inflation is really crippling and I don't know how the housing prices are still holding up despite rising interest rates. I also agree the red tape is absolutely bonkers.\n\nThe country needs to develop more of a pro-business mentality. Everywhere I look, people are complaining about not having a good job but no one wants to put up their hand to start a business to create those jobs.\n\nBut, man, is it beautiful living in the Rocky Mountains. Canada big ups. Definitely, when I have been to the states, the racial segregation was one of the biggest surprises. Being from Toronto, you'll legit have every culture within 1 floor of 1 apartment building. Then go to like Jersey, and not see a single black person in an entire neighborhood. I REALLY like the diversity of Canada, at least in the big cities. Happy to be raising our daughter here, we actually went out of our way to ensure the daycare we put her in was pretty diverse. \nNow, in our small towns, shit gets a little.... I don't wanna say RACIST per se, but definitely a lack of cultural diversity. Annnnd maybe a bit racist lol. \n\nBesides that, our Universal healthcare is definitely one of the reasons I am proud to be Canadian. Like, we all get old and sick at some point. You DO get that money back with the healthcare you receive eventually, and in the long run, pay less per capita than places with private healthcare. Being born in Canada I was proud of our multiculturalism and believed Canada was the greatest but as an adult I don't understand why people would want to live here. I pay over 40% of my income to the government for all the things that make Canada great but it is just not that way. My taxes help pay for programs that I am not eligible for because before taxes I make too much money but after taxes my take home is the amount that qualifies for programs but that's not how the system works. I need the program because I help pay for it but can't use it because of having money that is not considered to be mine. According to the CRA the money I pay the government in taxes does not and has never belonged to me but that same government labels that tax money as mine in order to deny me the programs I help pay for. It is a good idea to leave Canada if you can. There is no future for the working class except servitude to the government.

I have lived in Canada my whole life and I used to be proud of my country but the last 20 years I have lost that feeling no one should have to work the kind of hours we do here just to pay our Bill's and paying into our pension plan knowing we have to go to 70 to get our full pensions and still won't have enough to servive. It's truly wrong and our government is a waste of our time .its sad what the Canadian government has done failed canadians.

Proud Manitoban here, is there any other place in the world that goes from +35c to -35c?? That's a good 70 degree difference, no other place in the world that I know has that kind of extreme. Nope. Couldn't disagree more. As a child of immigrants I'm a first generation Canadian. My parents left everything behind in the late 60s in order to have a better life. I'm extremely proud and grateful to call myself a Canadian. I'm grateful for the freedom in this country I'm grateful for the sacrifices my parents made in order to offer us kids a better life. I've traveled to my parents home country several times\nI've traveled across the world all through my 20s and I can legit say, thank God for Canada. It's too bad you've experienced such hardship. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! I've never experienced racism in my life like I did out west, not just Alberta but also Northwest Territories and Manitoba. \n\nOn top of that they want everyone to be gay and not believe in God, they push the agenda so hard in the schools, they institutionalize and confuse your kids. Yup I'm Canadian and used to be proud. But Canada has gone to shit in the last 20 years. I will eventually be moving my family out of Canada. You cannot retire here. As a kenyan living in the UK for the past 7 yrs ,i came into conclusion that theres something not right about nigerians living abroad, among all africans ive met here in England, its only nigerians that never loves their country compared to other africans, ive met south africans ,cameroonians ghanians ugandans malawians liberians and Gambians all of them are proud of their respective countries and they tend to go back whenever they get the opportunity, i inclusive i do go back to kenya like every december coz i just cant stand being in the UK the entire year without going back home for a couple of weeks ...when it comes to nigerians ive met over here theres something always off, they hate their country sooo much to an extent one told me nigeria is a country in ICU ,some even told me they can set foot in africa but not nigeria..so nigerians tell me wats soo bad about your country that you tend to run away from it, even in my home country kenya there are estates designated for nigerians..Besides i prefer being in UK than in north america coz of the distance i cant imagine being in US or canada coz of the flight hours ,they're sooo far away from my country i love it in the UK coz its closer to home and i dont need connecting flights in most cases when going to kenya.

I was born and raised in Canada and left 30 years ago. I went to Vancouver about 10 years ago to visit family and I also found it ugly. The big glass buildings looked so dirty and outdated. It felt like an old outdated logging town. Like most Canadians, I used to be proud of the medical system but now I've realized it doesn't cure people it just keeps the citizens sick. Everyone I know there is sick and they are all proud of how many operations they've had and how many pills they take. I remember paying 30% in taxes as a University student with a part-time job. It just wasn't fair. The last straw was when I saw how the Trudeau government responded during covid. They hijacking the news stations and brainwashed the citizens. And then, they froze bank accounts of those who dared to protest or even support protesters. I lost a lot of respect for people there who I thought were intelligent and It made me realize how that place turns people into drones. Now I'm ashamed to be Canadian. Most Canadians live in a bubble and think it's the best country in the world but that's because they don't know what it's like to live. Good for you for leaving. I wish you all the best.

After watching this video, i still want to make my move to canada in the next 1 to 2 years. Because canada is a big upgrade from usa. Im from texas and i hate the hot weather that lasts 11 months of basically summer. and always dreamed about cold cloudy weather instead. Im 21 and im planning to get my education there so it's not really a big problem for me compared to other people who already studied in their home country. Basically life quality is better and i dont have to worry about the sad things that happen here. I love canada and i want to be a proud Canadian.

I live in Newfoundland and we barely see any snow all winter, as a proud Canadian who has lived in every province let me help you out. Newfoundland is gods country and there is truly no better place in Canada and Alberta should be ranked close to last.

Let me tell you something from my own experience, and at 82 y.o. a have plenty of it. If someone chooses a country into which to emigrate, he or she makes a choice to accept the conditions and adjusts to them. Canada is not a place to baby disgruntled outsiders, but gives them a chance to become Canadian. If you expect anything different, you don't deserve that chance. \nI was born in Vienna, Austria, emigrated with my girl friend to New Zealand, got married there and created two new little Kiwis, and after 5 years we packed up our family and relocated to California, where we brought up our son and daughter as Americans. We'll never forget our Austrian heritage, and are forever thankful to the friendly Kiwis for the start in life they gave us. But, once we decided to move to the US, we accepted the life style of our new neighbors and tried to fit into their society as well as we could. When we reached retirement age, we bought a modest home in Oregon, where we still live now and proudly fly the US flag on appropriate occasions. For the privilege of choosing your country, you better show your gratitude and your worth.

Heres my take. I am 11 th generation Canadian and proud to be so. I have traveled all over the world and would never live anywhere but Canada. Does not matter which province as they are all beyond amazing.

Canada has a long proud history and culture ,, problem is liberals and Canadas mass immigrations policy of Multiculturalism destroyed it

I am Quebecer and i think that all provinces of Canada are beautiful . I am so proud to be Canadian .

I live 8 hours away from St. John’s Newfoundland and we get pretty good weather for the most part. Sure we get tons of snow in the winter but we don’t get fog everyday our summers are actually really nice. This guy probably searched up some info on St. John’s and thinks the whole island is like that.. I’ve been in every province and love them all Canada is the best country in the world and I’m proud to call it home
