Trump supporters: If your family doesn't talk to you, more than likely it's not because you support trump. It's because you're probably being an asshole.

I understand this woman’s position because she understands the situation unfortunately many people don’t and only focus on the sentimental part of it. Trump ones told his friends that if talking about him would get them hired he said go ahead and trash me and go make your money. Now that sounds like someone who cares even if they themselves come out looking bad and their character damage. People, family can truly be selfish in many ways, I’m more than positive is not easy for her to have this opinion yet she understands what is at stake. Nevertheless people will critic and condemn what they don’t understand in its fullness. Hint: if things continue the way they are their will be no US for anyone at least not the US that people are fleeting their countries to come to.

We have exactly the same problem here in the UK. Politicians talk tough on immigration but when they get in power and see the books, they open the borders.\n\nWhat do i mean by the books. Politicians can talk about programs to build more homes (too little, too late) and such but they aren't addressing some key sources of the problems. I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). Everything else in the video I agree on, I also think personally that all political parties need a shake up in leadership.

The biggest impact on the declining economic productivity coincides with the Trump administrations trade war against Canada. They ripped up the previous trade agreement, and tabled a new one that attempted to devour Canadian industry. No one ever talks about this, and it's unfortunate. That coupled with the pandemic, resulted in a one-two punch to the Canadian economy. On top of that the amount of investment into automation in the energy sector over the past 10 years has reduced the demand for labour. And now with the ever expanding encroachment of AI on nearly every industry, the Canadian economy is facing an uphill battle. Many think that a prime minister is the main reason, when it's not. Canada is at the whim of US economic policy, which I fear is going to get even worse when Trump returns to office. A transition to Conservatives at the Federal level may lighten the load on a few things like Carbon Tax, and Income Tax (maybe), but they won't be the party to introduce limitations and regulations on investors that are responsible for driving up housing prices, by treating the housing market like it's a stock exchange. \nI will applaud Trudeau on winning over the EV battery plant, for pulling us out of bombing Syria and Iraq, for legalizing Marijuana, and for including Dental Care in health coverage (albeit limited...), but some of his decisions should have been better thought through, like the capital gains tax, and should only be targeting investors that have more than 3 properties. While he increased the budget for the Military, he's spent his first two terms ignoring it and that's severely hampered our readiness, and equipment. And while I do think we needed to boost immigration to stave off economic disaster, the current level that its at is problematic, and many bad faith actors are taking advantage of it and enriching themselves like the diploma mills.

Hey there, you fine American... Just to let you understand, our system is FAR from perfect, but it's still easy access and quick service IF you don't need a rare specialist or a not so rare one). The thing is, it's ALL priority based, so if you wait, it's because someone needs your resources even MORE than you do. Sometimes, it ends up in a tragedy, but MOST times, it allows for the neediest to get it first. \nAs far as having children here, we have a NEGATIVE birthrate, so our government PAYS us to have children. My son grew up in Quebec, and they have a double everything. Double taxes (not that bad after the tax deductions and credits), but they also Double the safety net and services, compared to the rest of Canada. Not only was childbirth free, so were the pre-natal courses and everything else, AND we got around 1000$/mo in childcare benefits, until he turned 18, with full of tax credits per kid. Plus, daycare was 5$/day back then, it's 7$/day almost 20 years later.. Pretty citizen friendly. \nThings MIGHT be changing though. Our conservatives are taking their talking points from the US GOP since COVID, and they are all-in to please their Oil lobby overlords and donators out in our prairies region. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected?
