Majority of Hispanics don’t understand this is a major problem. If the population is growing in the US. Inflation will rise. Housing, food, gas etc. We need to deport as many illegals as we can because legal immigrants deserve the right in America legally. Also, problem with these illegal Hispanics is they don’t even attempt to learn or study English and always raise their country’s flag rather than the American flag. I’ve seen this too much. Canada is well represented around the world. But you don't really know someone until you live with them. This country basically shuts down for at least 4 months a year during the winter. As a Canadian myself living in this country for over 30 years... the problem here is that Canada have a diversed industry but because the country itself is so small (population wise) that none of these industries reached economies of scale. While Canada has regions rich with natural resources, all they do is extracted it, sell it to U.S. and then buy the producted that was produced by these raw materials back at a higher cost. The political structure of Canada doesn't help either: Each region essencially specialized in a few industries (Alberta Oil, Ontario Finance, the Alantic provice's fisheries and oil refineries) and there's equalization payment... meaning if one province is doing well... they don't get to reinvest it back into its infrastructure but rather have to spread some of the excess revenue to other failing provinces... this doesn't incentized productivity but rather leads to a race to the bottom where provinces would want to spend their way to get some of that equalization payment money. Also the provinces themselves doesn't have a unifying economic agenda... Alberta's oil could be best served to be refined out east and then shipped but British Columbia doesn't want pipelines and oil shipping facilities on their coastline... and Quebec isn't interested in having a pipeline either so there's nowhere by the oil but to go down to the states. Finally the province of Quebec( which is french speaking and have their own culture and language) isn't interested in the overall prosperity of Canada at all but rather to extract as much special privilages, rights, and money from the Federal government... and even to declare independance from the Rest of Canada.

it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

I'm gonna be honest, if your first point is that we pay too much in taxes, then I'm not going to watch the rest of the video. As a hardworking Canadian, it is very sad and frustrated to see how people just cross the border so easily from the US when my immigrant parents who held bachelors and PHD needed to sacrifice so much to raise me. I didn't have any issues finding a doctor. And let me tell you more: I had a special requirement of having a Doctor who could speak Portuguese because of my wife, as she couldn't speak english at the time. I found a first doctor with absolutely no issues. In fact, after a couple of months I didn't like him very much, so we went ahead and found another one very quickly as well... Maybe I'm lucky.

Well ,there it is than. I live in the Netherlands and as a Dutch I can tell you we pay also a lot of tax compared to our salary, but public facilities, healthcare, roads, buildings and almost everything else is insanely well arranged. But I wonder, I often see that salaries in the USA and Canada easily can be 80K-150K for 'normal' jobs........well in the Netherlands by far most people do not make 50K a year before tax. So if your are complaining in Canada that the taxes are so high, than there is no other explanation that in the basis goods/services/utility bills are much more expensive compared to your salary right? I was born in Canada, and lived to see the change from traditional values to this mess...\n\n1 - homelessness\nthe rents and other things went up, and welfare does nt match it. even minimum wage does nt cover it in some cases, \nit s a given that you will finish on the sidewalk, and that does that many will turn to drinking and drugs.\nit will not last long however, as winter comes and there are nt enough shelters, so they conveniently die.\nyou could invest billions, it will not help if you have bad management, you have to dig deeper...\n\n2 - racism\nit s a bit of a backward country in that sense, many rural areas were very late in receiving immigrants,\nso they re not used to see diversity, unlike the US lets say, so there are parts of the country where acceptation\nwill be low, they will discriminate and gossip for sure, but it s more backward as it is racism.\nin time, when they get to know you, it goes away, and they realise how dumb they were.\nI live in Quebec, and you can blame feminism for that, they see Muslims as a symbol of patriarchy and feel threatened.\n\n3 - medical\nit s been like that since about the 90s, again, bad management made the system crash for some reason.\nI admit that I m not sure of what happened exactly there, not enough doctors for sure.\nmaybe it has to do with income, as they can get more revenue in the US or elsewhere.\nI suspect that hospitals s management - administration is too slow and crowded, but I m no expert.\n\n4 - technology\nyeah, well, it s expensive here, cell contracts, internet, probably because of distance, but I suspect\nthat we re being cheated a little too, and since again, we re a bit backward, we re used to the old methods.\nwe re not fast to adopt new trends or fashion either, it s very traditional here mostly.\n\n5 - taxes\nwe have federal and provincial taxes, plus purchase taxes, so yeah, we pay a lot of them.\nexactly, it can vary from 30 - 60% for sure, overtime does nt pay that much, 2 nd jobs can build you a big bill.\nyou re better to save on expenses than trying to earn more, you have to be cheap.\n\n6 - Canadian experience\nI m born here, but I heard of many stories about immigrants s credentials not fitting the local standards.\nin some cases, it sounds ridiculous, and closed minded, not accepting outside concepts and ideas.\nI did nt know about speaking English, but I sure know about French in Quebec...\nhere, it s very insecure about the language, almost paranoid, without speaking French, you will have many troubles.\nagain, it s mostly about bad management, and rules and mentality that self sabotage.\n\n7 - housing\nlike mentioned before, the real estate in general has jumped tremendously.\nI m no financier expert, but an overview of economy tells me that banks compete between countries,\nand they will recourse on artificially inflating the value of real estate, and that plainly kills people.\nthis is the main reason of the homelessness you see on the streets.\nyeah, the soundproofing is quite poor, and some very old buildings can cost a lot in heating.\n\n8 - well, crime is on the rise, and citizens supporting the law and public safety is not very encouraged by the system in place.\nin some way, you re better to shut up than supporting the police... this has to change!\n\n9 - the social services are biased, and impose their vision if you want help.\n\n10 - the mental health policy is too wide, and makes you ill instead of helping.\n\n11 - the pharmaceutical companies are too influencing, and make people sick instead of helping.\n\n12 - the food regulation is lacking, it is not strict enough, allowing chemicals, gmo, and radiation.\n\n13 - feminism is almost radical, especially in Quebec, they segregate genders, and dividing us, it makes the country weak.\n\notherwise, you pretty much covered it well.\n\ngood work sissses.

I moved to Canada in 2012. I used to love Canada as even with $11 per hour job was more than enough to survive (during studies, part time job). I used to live happy life. But, since Liberal government was elected in 2015, things are going crap. Just between 2016 when I signed lease of 1+1 apartment for 1140$, in 2019 it was getting rented for $2400. Prices went up for house and lots of things. Liberals had messed up affordability that most people in Toronto region are living paycheque to paycheque. On top of it Carbon tax in hide of saving environment which literally not working out, is killing Canadians. \n\nAfter living in Canada for 11 years, I don’t see this country has any good future overall. Our banking to technology sector everything is outdated. World is moving so fast, Canada is not able to catch up. I am looking for easy was to get green card of USA, the country which I hated, it seems USA is far better. I have many relatives in USA, I asked around and it broke lots of my stereotypes about USA which I had developed living in Canada and from Canadians. Even met few people who lived in Canada for 10-15 years and moved to USA and living there for last 5-10 years. Worst decision of my life was choosing Canada in 2012 for easy immigration. My classmates who chose USA and moved there in 2012 are in much better position career wise as well salary wise and they files are also in progress. Living lavish life with great weather, while Canada is depressive as hell.

Well everyone, the option is to go into a system like the United States has , which incidentally is far from perfect itself, my spouse was in emergency for five hours last Saturday night before anyone looked at her, , which the system will spiral in to a business and if you think you have problems now, just wait till what’s down in the future. As a Canadian who has lived in the United States the last seven years, our good family healthcare is $1270 US a month, which incidentally has a $1000 deductible and a 10% co-pay on everything we experience, and trust me an MRI scan ( yes , just a scan, not surgery) for your brain is costed out at $7000, so be prepared to pay your deductible and 10% of it along with all the other attending doctor charges, even with good healthcare at 1270U.S. a month ! That monthly healthcare premium is almost $1600 a month Canadian. Canadians complain about taxes being too high also, but that is my profession, and when you round out the two , there may be 2 to 3% adjusted for the exchange rate higher and you still get a lot greater bang for the buck. Also, your higher education in the United States is easily 2 to 3 times of what you’re paying for in Canada. I know it’s not optimal, however trust me you still have it good in Canada, I find so many immigrants complain about it when they come to Canada, Yet they are living in a relatively safe and secure country, just a little bit of appreciation would be nice. Is it always what I can get, how about maybe what you can give? Maybe the answer for everyone and candidates to start to pay to go see a doctor if you can have the doctors availability, that is the sad truth, and I’m quite sure people will not like that by any means when they see the charges. Trust me ,Canada is obviously far from perfect, but is overall still a pretty darn good country, for somebody that dislikes it so much, they need to go back to where they’re from, and compare, it might be a better option for them.

From my traveling experience… i can tell Americans got more spending power than canadian… most of the time i met canadians at hostels and cheap hotels ? Americans pay with powerful us dollar, tip well, don’t bargain !Canada still good country but don’t compare it to the states … not yet ? !!! Canada has too much taxes ,cheap public services, less opportunities, six months of depression ? bureaucratic system

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

I spent 10 years studying and working in Toronto, where in most of the neighborhoods I went I was the only non-Indian person. Now I live in Edmonton, where everywhere I go in my neighborhood I am pretty much the only non-Indian person as well. I work for a large pharmaceutical company, where most of the operations staff are also Indian, I am often the only non-Indian person at work too. Just keep it in mind.

Oh the tap water thing, agree 100%. I moved to Canada a decade ago, started to learn about the tap water, then assumed the US got the same if not better, then I travelled to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, omg, the water is yellow, went back to Canada and felt eternally grateful.\nPublic transportation in Canada is much better, for example, buses accommodate people with wheelchairs very well and drivers are very patient and actually got off their seats to help people to get on, get off. I went to New York, omg, subways stink with urine, buses don’t even have any place for people in wheelchairs, impossible to get in, maybe some of them have but I didn’t see them. All buses in Canada have ram for wheelchairs, strollers, etc.
