Absolutely right, all the points are true. One thing really bad is this so called free health care. I waited 3 months to see a doctor for my prostrate infection. An ear infection for soo many weeks to see a specialist. At last i went to India, it took 4 hours, I finished consultation, related tests, diagnosis and treatment. State of the art hospital. I paid a fees . My pain is not more important than money. Here canada even if you have money you have no choice \nIn short why people have to go through all this sacrifice to enjoy this lifeless frozen land, and lately Canadians became the victim of a Government lead by an idiot, called TREUDO, IDIOT TRUDEAU

All countries have its issues but seeing some of these things make me worry for my best friend who plans on moving to Canada next year to live with his Canadian girlfriend and it makes me nervous cause he has no real game plan he is leaving his life and family in the states and just go somewhere new so not sure if he thinks it will be an easy transition. So videos like these help but make me more worried for him.

Great video. The Us & Canada seem to be similarly alone when it comes to tax application. Sales taxes are applied the same way in both Canada & the US, on top of the sales price. This is shocking at first until you get used to it, if you ever do... income taxes are also similar, filing tax reports federally and in some cases by province or state. FYI, for folks with multiple jobs, one should be able to complete a tax form so their employer does not take the personal tax exemption. means lower pay but less surprise come tax time. Agree on employment & technology, seems like Canadians need to see new tech elsewhere before they adopt... and experience outside Canada not being counted is something many companies and governments here are looking to address, but the pace is slow

The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, you will find a piece of trash or garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. But this is a bitter truth. You can try. This country should be brought closer to its exaggerated claim. Certainly, some Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia are much cleaner compared to Canada. I am 50 years old and from a country in the 3rd world in the Middle East called Iran (with the most dictatorial regime in the world) and have traveled to 26 countries. Canada is far from its claims. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception.

You really cant see how its immigration trends of the last 3-4 decades that's ruining this country, can you? Our government is treating its founding citizens and their descendants as if they are living in a vassal state, and are now ramping up the flooding of cheap labour to stifle wages and wipe out the middle class to create a serf class while our resources get extracted to benefit a handful at the top. Ummmm.. you sound like you moved to 1 city and making your analogy. I am american and lived in Canada for 30 years of my life. Florida a 1 bedroom is 2400 and at best you can get a 800 Sq ft for 15. Got forbid you get sick in America you go bankrupt. You get paid more in the states... lol some states minimum wage is 5 to 7 dollars. Every country has a staffing problem in medical field. If you wanna be a you tuber now yes u.s can be better for that LA, Florida places with no winter where you can film every season is a plus. I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.

Have these 2 lived in the real world? Nowhere is cheap. In the UK we have the National Health Service which was meant to be free health for all...joke! The waiting times to see a doctor is terrible and then the wait for specialised consultancy and admittance to hospital is months. We pay for this through national insurance in addition to taxes for fuel, income tax, added tax for materials, purchasing a property, etc. These are stating the obvious unless you keep your head in the sand.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.

Canada has no culture of its own. People from all around the world gathered here to escape wars, political issues, or for economic reasons from their home country. When honeymoon period is over (around 5 years) they start realizing that leaving behind their own people, culture, festivals, food, etc was not a good idea. Life in Canada (maybe in United States too) is very monotonous and robotic. Years and years go by\nand people are doing same thing over and over. Weather is very unpredictable to plan out anything in advanced. Due to bad weather entire country is designed to be indoors. People leave their wooden houses in cars to work in buildings with no open windows. Unless you leave in core downtown you won't see people on road as everybody is either in their vehicles, in their house, or slaving away at work. To all people who are looking to relocate to Canada: If you are doing well in your home country then do not leave. Life in western countries look good from far but when you live here it's different. Loneliness and depression will be your biggest enemy. Stay in your home country around your own culture and people.

You don't even have guts to visit India. Also India will become a super power in no time , see the number of soldiers we have , it's more than north America. I came to America when I was 22 .. student life was fun because you have lot of friends I studied in Pennsylvania and in California.. but right after college I lived in a state called Delaware for almost 4 months.. some of the most depressing times of my life .. I experienced everything you said in your video.. at 24 I didn't have a job yet because 2008 happened and so I didn't have a car .. most of the time I am stuck in the apartment studying.. I was so desperate to even see people .. the only place I used to become happy by seeing people is when I go to the mall .. 6 o clock in the evening you don't see anyone in the apartments .. it used to be like ghost town .. I ran away from that place the first opportunity I got ..no matter how much money someone offers I am never going back to Wilmington Delaware

Pakistani here. Fully agree with everything you said. I visited the states and within a week I felt like I was burning out really quickly. The life was so bland, tasteless and colourless. I didn’t see any elements of culture or traditions, it was all about making money and then saving that money for future retirement. Here in Pakistan life is full of joy and happiness because we have close knit communities and family system. I can’t imagine living in the US permanently. I love my culture of joy and vibrance far more than the grey culture of corporate America.

I have been in every province. I love Saskatchewan because I've lived here all my life. Every other province has much to see and do. I have been in about 20 US states, but at 71 I've decided not to cross that border again.

I’m sad to see Manitoba here spoken of so sadly. I love living here. Yes there are mosquitos in the summer, and extreme weather. The home values make the province very very livable. Those working in trades make more and spend less than those in many provinces (and states). Winnipeg has a great art scene, lots of sports, etc. yes, we do have a high homeless & jobless rate. We also have a very high Native American rate, which has its own historical struggles.

It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.

I am from the United States. I have advanced degrees. I am actively seeking a job in Canada to see if I would be happier there. The US may is great compared to a broken country, but not to other developed nations in my opinion. I wanted to see if the pros outweigh the cons in Canada. I will be leaving Canada within a year or so after declaring non-residency and bring my business with me. My view is that Canada is a good place to live a normal life. Healthcare covers your peace of mind, even if the waitlist is long and bureaucratic. Social benefit is not as generous as people suggest sometimes (at least in Canada unless you're on actual welfare where you can't work but you can't rise your way up easily and you're forever stuck in 1.5k CAD/month... which would be ofc much better than other struggling countries but immigrants often aspire for greater things than that. \n\nEven though I was an Asian immigrant, I never faced significant racism afaik (I could be socially naive however), but there are definitely limitations of opportunities. It's not too difficult to find entry to intermediate jobs, at least for me but that's probably because I did schooling here in Canada. And I was able to network aggressively and learned to be an extrovert, so that also helped. But still, Canadian living cost is high (and I'm saying this from Calgary... imagine what it's like in Vancouver/Toronto). Is it doable? Ofc. 50-70k CAD/year is quite doable ESPECIALLY in Calgary, Alberta. But it'd be difficult to achieve financial independence and true wealth. This is true everywhere ofc but more so in Canada compared to, say, USA where living cost is lower and wage is higher with more opportunities. It's a great place to live normally. If you wanna become exceptional (wealth, customized goods and services, etc), it become harder and costs more. \n\nEven now when I now own business after struggling to get here over 10 years that generates income that I need to achieve financial freedom, tax becomes frightfully bad. Alberta (that imposes lowest tax rate compared to other Canadian provinces (not including territories for obvious reason) is comparable to California in USA that is among the highest in all US states. And let's be real; Alberta is nowhere close of being California. Imagine the taxes in BC/Ontario shiver. \n\nOnce my tax rate becomes high enough to justify moving, I will pull the trigger. Still window-shopping where I wanna go and I have some lists but it's gonna happen especially as Canada will have to deal with their struggling economy, further distancing from US and their government mismanagement that continues to cost the society. I will not have any part in it. I may come back once in a while for visit or potentially retire depending on what the future looks like but right now, I just don't see my longterm future here.

I'm sure the intent of this video was to be fun, buts as a Canadian I would like people to know that it's not always cold here. We have four seasons. Most of the population lives in cities that are near the border with the US and have very similar climates to the northern states below them. Where Canada starts lagging behind is really in RnD and access to life saving procedures. Too many people die on waiting lists in Canada as there is not enough resources to go around, y'all have waited 4-8 H(normal is 2-4) just to be seen before don't fib to web now. \n\nAnd since we lack competition for newer/better medical procedure, 80-90% of our medical knowledge comes from the states or ww2 Germany.\n\nWhile on say the USA side, due to the competition they are constantly making advancements (which in the long run makes overall treatment cheaper and closer affordable). While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

Actually, Tim Hortons was bought by an American company, so you can see them in the United States as well, so you can't tell between the 2. HEALTHCARE IS NOT FREE. It is payed through taxes.

You say that both countries are very patriotic but I must say, as a Canadian, I really don’t see the same level of “patriotism” here in Canada than in the States. It’s definitely not expressed the same way. Maybe being from Quebec is influencing my view on this a bit haha, but no I don’t think I would have used the adjective “patriotic” to describe Canadians in general. Ask yourself this- Which country do you see a wider diverse representation of, concerning the people in power? In Toronto we just had our first black police chief(which was a big thing here) a few years back while in the States they’ve been having people of colour and many minorities in power. Representation of different ethnic backgrounds is an issue here but nevertheless the states still have a long way to go with racism. There’s a common saying which states that the difference between Canadians and Americans is that “while Americans side with their fellow citizens against the government, Canadians side with their government against their fellow citizens.” This is stereotype is the best explanation as to why Canada can’t see to develop a viable market economy or compete with other nations on innovations in STEM or the arts. The problem with Canada is that it never developed a culture outside of “not being American” and the result is that their government has been allowed to grow to an enormous size and basically strangle all of the talent out of the country. Canada, despite the fact that it’s an English speaking country on the North American continent, is virtually nothing like America is any sense of the term, and actually has more in common with Scandinavia than it does with the country that borders it’s south.
