I don't get it. What do Wang's clients get out of participating in his scam? If they don't want to live in Canada, why do they go there. What am I missing?

They don't live in Canada, they don't scam from Canada, they merely need it as insurance for possible problems in China. They would never live of Canada's welfare, which cannot be said about the majority of Canadians. What is the problem other than envy?

As a permanent resident based on merit who worked two years to get it, I feel like my work was worthless because people who simply bought their citizenship and can’t even speak English or have any basic merits to qualify for PR are all too common in Canada. The Canadian skilled migration is a scam, skilled workers are better off going somewhere they will actually be valued.

I am actually shocked by people in the comment here. All talked like you knew a lot of things of immigration and citizenship. Loll but many don’t even know the first thing, the difference between permanent residence and citizenship. Immigration jail is referred to PR required living time in Canada. PR don’t have a Canadian passport and only citizens can have it. Once you are a Canadian citizen, you don’t need to live in Canada for a required time. China does not allow dual citizenship and that is why they try to scam the system to make up the living time in Canada.

Sunny Wang is a typical example of the canadian immigration policy has been failed for decades. Importing such a personal into Canada and becomes a scam artist, abusing and gaming the legal systems. Shame on the loose immigration policies.

The matter of the fact is that Canada is become a joke in the worldwide world. Canada's Justice system is weak and has no teeth. Better to have sympathy for the Devil than risk offending the bleeding hearts and artists. This guy only got a $900K fine and 2 years for scamming $10M, plus all the social benefits fraud he enabled... Are you kidding me?

Canada's justice was way too nice to him, I don't mean to be xenophobic but he should have been deported with his citizenship revoked, he scammed the CIS for years and still got out with 90% of the stolen money from his clients and only 2 years of jail time.

Why are they living in China but pretending to live in Canada? It seems like it is helpful to Canada if anything. They are paying for empty homes and spending money on all of these immigration fees. \n\nI don't see how this is problematic for Canada. It seems like they are trying to scam China somehow. I didn't know Canada had a prob with the Chinese. Seems every western country has its probs with immigrants but I've never had any prob with the Chinese here in UK esp not with them scamming people. Well done Fifth Estate. The Chinese have completely taken over. I watch the border crossing show sometimes and when they come back from “vacationing “ in China and pretend that they haven’t brought anything with them and when their bags are inspected they have tons of stuff and have way exceeded the limits and they barely get a verbal reprimand. Let me see a Canadian whose family has been here for 9 generations get away with this. They are dishonest, money laundering scam artists. Yet, Canada still welcomes them with open arms. When will the Canadian government wake up? Having them take over this country is an insult to hard working Canadians and other honest immigrants. When they commit a crime of any type they should be deported. They’re always bragging about how rich their country is, then why do they want to come here? We haven’t invaded their country! I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

Hey is it true that community living in Brampton has brought bad name upon all Indians in Canada? My co worker said Brampton had the highest crime rate in ontario, highest insurance rate due to scams and frauds in the desi community.

Facts much? Canada allows anyone to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers dime as long as they submit a refugee claim. The Canadian public is paying upwards of $60,000 CAD for each of these claimants living costs which is more than what many Canadians make in a year. Additionally if these claimants' claims are refused they simply leave for a day, come back and start the process all over again, again getting to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers back. What a great scam.
