Moving to the US? Well if you ask me as a person who first lived in the US as a legal college student ( thought I had to clarify that) and now a Canadian citizen who has lived in Canada for over two decades... ???... Nah, don't think so.

As a American there is a lot of things to say, I want to in the future duel with the uk/eu or Canada. I’m surprised they haven’t talked about the high excelation of racism, and as a Asian person it hasn’t been fun. Until we at the lowest minimum (not my actual minimum) fix our healthcare system is close to nhs that is basically free healthcare payed by your taxes, then I don’t see much people wanting to go to the states; aside from maybe university. There is a lot that plays a role, but in my eyes living in Cali or Portland or Seattle or nyc are the better places. One thing that I’ll say is though we need higher wages, I think that is kinda something we get more at times than other countries to a extent.

Only a fool would move from Canada to America - or a billionaire, or a lawyer or doctor. And basically that tells you everything you need to know. Normal people can't afford to be ill, can't afford to need recourse to the law and most of all are going to get shot by either an out-of-control terrified policeman or the next person they cut off at a junction.\nAlso, who wants to live in a country where everyone thinks they are superior to the entire rest of the world because their average calorie intake is enough to feed three normal humans? - AND I speak as someone who is really quite fat in the UK. ( but I'm only a 'medium' in America. :) )

OMG I laughed so so hard when you read the French comment (I’m French Canadian too)… he made you say it three times ??? priceless!\nMy personal answer would be : no, I never considered moving to the US. I considered Europe several times (went for exchanges in England and Russia a decade ago). Moving to US… for myself, I can’t see a good reason. Especially now… \npeople who are interested in the US are people who have career ambitions or want to make more money (like in Universities, finance, technology…). There is a second category of people, that I don’t think they use Reddit ;) Retired people over a certain age, they go live in Florida half the year and some decide to stay. There are also a small number of neoconservatives who think we live under a liberal dictature (yes, I’m looking at you Alberta), might be more interested, as well as our evangelicals too, since they want to insist on imposing their religion on everyone else. \nSo, mostly : climate for elders, ambitions (career or financial) for youth, ideology for some others. Maybe love too !

I've always wanted to live in the US, so many happy vacations there as a child and teen. Sadly now due to the health care situation, there's no way I could. If someone makes a lot of money and can afford private insurance and the drugs they need, lucky for them. Especially as a diabetic, the price of insulin is around 5 x in the US what it is here. I don't earn enough to afford the drugs I need if I lived in the US, add in every three month blood work, dr visits, for a self employed person, it's just not doable on what I earn. \n\nAn American I talk to said one of his co workers was being laid off and the co worker was a diabetic and he didn't know what he was going to do without the health insurance the company provided him. It's insane health insurance is tied to employment in the US. people that are self employed would have huge private insurance bills, and people that get laid off or are fired, they could be taking thousands of dollars of drugs a month and all of a sudden it's gone with the job. My mom wouldn't even let us go to the US for a weekend without getting out of the country medical insurance coverage.

I had a friend whos family split up and all 4 children and their mom ended up down in Philadelphia somewhere (some cult/religious thing she got into that started the whole divorce ect) and they would come back to Canada for visits. When he would explain going to school, having to walk through metal detectors on the way in, guarded by cops with SMG's I just couldn't fathom what he was talking about or why it would be needed. Luckily I managed to convince him to stay one time when he came and visited and still lives here. Personally I'm considering moving with how hostile my government here in Canada has become to anything oil/gas/nuclear/fertilizer. My trade (Steamfitter/Pipefitter) is being reduced to shut down work only and I have some family down in Texas and its pushing me more and more to start looking elsewhere for work. However I'm single, if I had a family there would be no way id leave. As good of healthcare you have down there (way better than most if not all of Canada in relation to wait times and expertise), one long illness or something and they drop your health care? Your screwed. Plain and simple.

Just for fun of comparing our countries, since gun violence and violence is usually mentionned a lot I just looked at some weird stats. First of all, in Canada around 13% of the population own a gun and 22% of household at least have one gun compared to the US which 32% of the population own a gun and 44% of household at least have one gun. The other weird stats I looked, after finding that out, was the methods of homicides in Canada and the US. It's supposed to be stats by compiling the police repports and could be not completely accurate but it is still different how they are stated. For exemple in Canada in 2021 the number of victims by shooting 297, stabbing 242 and beating 130. For the US it's not by shooting, it starts with the victims by handgun 6012, then firearms which the type is not stated in the repport 4740, then knives and cutting instruments 1035, personal weapons (hands, fists, feet etc.) 461, then rifles 447, other guns 227 and shotguns 152. The scary thing about the US is even if Canada is 11.53% the population of the US, 11578 victims by shooting compared to 297 seems a lot. To have the same rate of violence as the US our victims by shooting in Canada would have had to be 1004. Which means in 2021 there was 71% less homicide by shooting in Canada compared to the US. Another thing I found, I live in the second largest city of Canada, it's not the 2nd but the 27th most dangerous city in Canada and if we consider only the cities which have a population of more than 1million, it's actually the 3rd safest city of Canada. So yeah I'll stay in Canada, even though I live in sin city it's still safer, there's a better health care system and we have a good multicultural diversity. Sorry for the long text, it's 4am and I write as much as I talk, which is a lot when I'm tired.

I ‘ve met so many Americans on trips and through living in San Francisco for 3 months for a course. They were very kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable people. I also love many beautiful places in the States. I find though, that the media ignores Canada to a great degree only reporting negative issues . I don’t care for the super nationalism of the government, the gun laws, the many wars they’ve been involved in, nor do I like the racism and the present divisiveness of the country given that a person like Trump could be voted in and have so much power! That is frightening! I could never have afforded my two hip and knee replacements as well as other surgeries and the birth of four children had I lived there consequently, I would make friends with Americans who move here withthe same principles, but no to moving to the United States OF America.I was happy to return to beautiful Vancouver Island, (which was voted one of the top Islands in the world by CNN, Time magazine and Conde Nast, )

Tyler you are oblivious to what happens in the US which is obvious by your reaction I think you should explore more about your own country. It seems to me Canadians know more about US history past and present, your politics, religious zealots, bigotry, racism, the list goes on. By the way the number one cause of death for children in the US is guns you might want to explore that. Going around living in your personal bubble isn't helping you realize the issues in the US and around the world. The best way for change to happen is to vote in people who will work towards it at the local, state and federal level. Everything is not political it's just groups who have pushed it in that direction. The US is not the same country I visited many times years ago. Would I have ever moved there...a resounding NO

I wouldn’t move there, even though the shopping is good, cheaper cost of living, etc., it’s too crowded and there are too many crazies running around. However, we have a horrible federal government right now in Canada doing their best to destroy our economy and control the media and the people. No place is perfect as we all know. I don't live in the mountains, but I don't deny they are there. Small towns are safe you say.....until easily accessed guns are used to kill so many kids, like in Uvalde . So lets not include THAT small town then. As for the batshit crazy comment, are you kidding that you don't see it. The entire world sees it and comments on it. I have 6 kids, and not one cost me a cent when they were born. Don't get me wrong, I have been down through the usa many times, and met great people. Last year I was in Livingston Texas, at a gas station, and a guy beside me was carrying a handgun out in the open, filling his car while smoking.....I was not about to confront him, and just stopped getting gas and left. So ya...that's not normal in my world, or 95% of the civilized world. So, for the love of god, stop trying to convince the world that the US is the greatest country on earth. I went to the Atlanta suburbs a few years ago for corporate training (I was working in Canada for a US based company). There were people from all around North America there, who did not know each other before meeting there. What shocked me the most, even more than the constant subtext racism between people, in the news, everywhere basically, more than the senseless political debates where people take for one side just because, no matter the truth and lies, the arguments or even the crimes comitted by one side or the other, is the fact that 2 americans, never having met before, were talking about their prefered gun makes and ammunition types literally 5 minutes after having met the first time. THAT is unhealthy! THAT is scary! I just went with the flow and accepted it, and I kept noticing it for the 2 weeks I was there. In Canada, we talk about the weather to break the ice with strangers. In the states, you talk about guns. That is what we call gun culture and that, more than anything else, is why I'll never live in the US.\nOh, and just to make it worse, when I tried to explain why we did not feel like we had to have guns on our person in Canada, not a single American I talked to could ever begin to understand. Not centering your life around the fact that you can or cannot have a gun is just impossible for Americans, it seems.

I dont have a problem with the average American but life in Canada is everything you could ask for. Health care of course but here you can truly do what you want and live your dream if you work for it. Every single person here stands a chance to do amazing things if they have the drive and motivation. We take care of each other here and there are always lots of jobs. \n99% of Canadians would never move to the States unless it was ridiculous to turn down a huge opportunity. But your average person, never. We have it way better here. I have spent a fair bit of time in America. While I have enjoyed it and met some great people there is no comparison when it comes to overall quality of life in every regard.

No way would I want to live down there. Dat place is crazy, dirty, and dangerous. Half the country hates everyone else, or so it seems. Given that your crazies have such easy access to guns, I think it is one of the last north western countries I would live in. \nAlso, the fact that the number one cause of personal bankruptcies in The US, is medical expenses. It is a country where a couple of stitches can cost you a thousand bucks and where insurance companies decide what treatments are available to you.\nI think it would be a terrible place to live, especially with a family.

I have a work visa for the US and go there often. I go to many places that are not in the cities. I'm actually in South Dakota as I write this and find it to be a very pleasant place. I generally find everybody to be very friendly but can't help feel there are some topics that I just don't feel comfortable talking about in fear of triggering a strong response. I like visiting but would not consider moving there to raise a family. There is just a much greater chance of volitivity there. \n One time, while dinning out, I had a guy ask me, that because I didn't have a gun, what would I do if someone came to my home to rob me at gun point. I told him it never happens. But he insisted many times, but what if they did. I told him that it's not something I'd ever thought about and that I probably had a greater chance of dying on the plane ride home than being shot by an armed robber in my own home. But he kept insisting. I eventually told him I would help the robber take my stuff out of the house because that is what I have insurance for. I could not believe that this guy did not understand the concept of NO ONE (other then criminals shooting other criminals in the city) having a gun. \n I actually do have a long gun at my place in the country but that's to keep me safe from large animals that may come out of the bush. It is locked up in a gun cabinet by law. I would never think of using it against another person. I'd go to jail for sure if I did. Many of my friends hunt and have several guns but the restrictions on where and when you can use them and the strict storage requirements help ensure that they are not travelling around with a gun at hand. There are actually a few places in Canada where I've been that you do, or should, have to travel with a gun but these are remote areas of the country with large predatory animals. 99% of the population do not live in these areas.

I have a lot of American friends and some friends live close to the shootings, I feel that Americans are desensitized to the violence. The USA has some pretty sceneries but health care, politics, social welfare, and racism/discrimination are very much more pronounced. I remember visiting Texas and many people carry guns, that scares me because I don't know what their mental health state would be, and if I make a slight mistake and said sorry, would that person shoot me if their mental health state is not that stable? Yes, American gun laws need to be revamped big time for sure.

I would never live there. A teacher friend of mine moved from Nova Scotia with her professor husband. She taught French at Virginia Tech. She and some of her college students were murdered by a gunman who burst into her morning class. Way too much gun violence there for me. Way too much political division. Way too much Christian conservative right evangelical ideology. Way too much disparity between the rich and the poor. Way too many people in general. Way too much emphasis on an individual version of freedom that does not take into consideration the greater good of others in society. I have two cousins who live out there, however. They have lived there for many years. One is a wealthy plastic surgeon in Florida and the other is retired in New England but also well off. She just proudly got her American citizenship, in fact. They love their lives there and would never move back to Canada. It really depends on the values of the person.

As a Canadian I can say that the #1 Canadian person who moves to USA is our medical staff. Nurses and doctors make much more in the states many people get educated and get some experience in Canada and then move to USA for the increased income. It's a bummer because in my small town there aren't many family doctors and many people don't have a family doctor and won't for years because of the doctor shortage at least in BC but I think it's a Canada wide issue. I am lucky to have a doctor who wants to live in a small town and help people, he is from south Africa ! ?

person living in Canada; I would consider least for a while, my reasons are most people I've met from US on the internet have been mostly pleasant(Minnesota, California, Florida, or Pennsylvania all seem great:) )...I agree with a little bit more flexible gun laws(if there was a happy in between I'd go with that:P)........ don't think the political scene would completely bother me(centrist at heart; mostly accepted by Conservatives and get along with Democrats/etc); I'm ok with the contrast....

I don't think I would move to the U.S. for many reasons. Healthcare is great in Canada. I don't think I'd be able to afford insurance in the U.S. , I also would be afraid of guns, the coastlines will rise by the 2030s, so my dreams of California and New York are out as well, never mind the outrageous cost of living there and being an arts person, I wouldn't want to be there now with the strike. I don't think I'd be affected as a stand-up comedian, but the opportunities would be way less with the industry shut down.

I personally would in a second. \nI have lived in both countries and hands down it's better living down there. \nExperience living in multiple cities in multiple states.. and living in basically every major city and a lot of small towns in Canada.. I know 100% Canada is not as good as the states. \nAs a Canadian I can say Canada is not what people think it is... they think it's so much better here when they sy that because it's safer.. not better..not remotely.. we are so restricted here to do anything.. own land. .. grate now build something on it. Have fun. Years and thousands just to get a house approved.. the restrictions American people don't have make it that much better. \nFirearms.......... \nI've lived in so called bad areas in the states and honestly I've had way more nonsense happening in good areas in Canada. \nThe states have there downsides but overall way way better. \nMy next plan in Utah or Arizona..

Please ?, keep sharing these types of information. Am living here in Kansas City, United States. I have been trying for my brother to visit and even try school and they have been denied visa. But now am in the process of filing for my mom to come as a permanent resident. Am even thinking about helping one of my brothers to go to school in Canada with a student visa after watching your video. Am very pleased to come across your videos. As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

I received your response and I wholeheartedly agree! \n\nI’ll go just a little further and suggest Canadaians & American cans both read, “The Merger of The Crntury”, by Diana’s Françis. Canadians are far more critical of America than Americans are of Canada but that doesn’t mean We think Canada is better. Personally, I see far more benefits in the two Nations merging on 5 levels that can only serve us best. In my opinion, having lived in both Countries……Canadians need to get off their ‘high-horse’ and Americans need to learn more about our attic.

As a Canadian who moved to (self-proclaimed world-class Vancouver) 30+ years ago, when it was a gritty, fun, quirky unusual city, I thought it was paradise in Canada. However, as time marched on, I saw the gradual change, the boring glass towers, the shoebox apartments, the closing of most live rock music venues downtown, the end of Indy races in False Creek, the cancelation of Seafest, the unchallenged foreign ownership of both commercial ond mostly empty condos, leading to a severe housing crisis - gridlock and crumbling infrasture. Furthermore, the cost of living and taxation is crippling. The present Gov't (either sides, 1 of the same) has lost all credibility. The media is garbage. Healthcare is subpar period. So, like yourself, I've also spent several years overseas in cities that are soooooo much more beautiful with amazing climates. I also spent as much time outside Vancouver possible during the last 4 years. I haven't changed much personally but wow(!) the rise in narcissism, anger and divisiveness in Vancouver over that period of time is palpable. You nailed it with 'status chasing and diengenuis' - When you leave, then come back you notice this change much more. For those that were trapped here for the last 4 years, I feel for you. I really do.

This is very biased in favor of Canada. However, I strongly agree with your viewpoint on gun control. Canada comes out on top. When it comes to Healthcare, you omitted that Canada is experiencing a shortage of doctors and the wait time for care is longer and longer. More doctors are moving to the US for better salaries. For education, the US system made it such that with a Bachelor degree you can get a good job. A Masters degree isn't required although good. Meanwhile, in Canada competition in job market makes it that employers hire over qualified employees. With a Masters degree you're likely to occupy a Bachelor degree position. I personally don't see this as a good thing. When It comes to political and religious diversity, it depends on personal preferences. Some people like diversity, others don't. I personally like conservative states. A 2021 report indicates that thirty thousand new immigrants left Canada due to expensive living conditions. At the end of the day, it is like the saying there's no accounting for taste.

It’s horrific how these ppl are forced to live, that is NOT life..reading the comments, it’s disheartening to see. Put yourselves in their shoes! Ask yourself many questions. Would you live your life under a corrupt government? Would you allow the Mexican police/gangs/drug lords, to walk in your home, kill your children, your family, got no reason and get away with it? Would you want to struggle just to feed your baby? Would you want to live how they live? Your country, my county is huge. But hey, it all comes down to greed and politics, right? It’s not about having compassion, it’s about these ppl taking your jobs, homes..am I right? These ppl work for Pennie’s a day, would you? We all deserve a good life, no? But if we won, made you go back to where you came, would you have gone freely? Hell no! We HAD rights, and it was taken away….and take a long hard look at what’s happening today! Country against country..race against race..ppl no longer believe in God and our world is turn to shit…ppl walk past a homeless child and do fuck all (I’ve seen it many times..and yes, I help) stop being so fucking greedy, if you want to help take care of your homeless, then get off your asses and start helping your homeless ppl…will that happen? He’ll no! Why? Because YOU people who are against these ppl who want a better life in America, won’t even make an effort to help your own, now isn’t this called “calling the kettle black” because you simply walk past them, you stare at them with disgust! As a black person that lives in Toronto, Ontario. I can confirm the racism is sneaky. They use education, Jobs, housing market to bring us back. And in Ontario the Indians and Asians discriminate against us.

The health of a country, or the health of an individual which are clearly linked, is dependent on our ability to see ourselves and each other, and make necessary changes to improve in the areas that we lack personally, and as communities in our beautiful country of Canada and other countries as well. Well, it’s a work in progress. I appreciate how you’ve inspired us to speak about things that aren’t necessarily spoken about. At least not where I live and have lived in Canada. What matters is sharing our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences because they aren’t debatable. \n\nWe are in violation of Multiple Human Rights violations against Inuit , Indigenous and Métis people by the United Nations. Most have no water to drink—not even boiled water and bottled water is available sometimes when it’s brought to reservations . Children don’t have the same access to books. So many thousands of bodies of children taken to residential schools from their parents arms and community for over 160 years yet the deep wounds aren’t given compassion by most people anymore and systemic abuse actively impacts them and therefore all of Us . We are all one whether we see people as other’ or not. We’re humans. \n They’re not seen in media unless it’s a bad story yet we’re only now teaching one mandatory class by non indigenous people. Solution: elders teach their grandchildren languages that weren’t erased by genocide and environmental /spiritual cultural practices and lifestyles before they’re gone by paying first people elders and streaming it into all Canadian classrooms so the children can see a future where they’re valued and all Canadian kids can get a full education and learn accurate history. Making canoes, baskets, sacred ceremonies, food growing (that they taught to pilgrims so they’d survive here), etc. No, I’m not indigenous. I’m an immigrant like all but the first people. They’ve an amazing culture that’s been all but lost . When we don’t see ourselves represented in any media, any careers, and start our lives in extended poverty based on our race, and all that was taken still today, it’s no wonder the teen suicide rate for indigenous youth is more than double / triple all non - indigenous youth. The numbers are growing. \nI live in Care due to my physical disabilities . An international nursing student worked for me providing personal care like showers, meal prep etc and over that year, she said she wouldn’t have moved here specifically because of a few things I’ve mentioned. She told me Canada was sold to people in her country of origin as a ‘multicultural’ safe haven without extreme racism still prevalent today and within our history. \n\nI’m ashamed of Canadian government promises for over 100 years that aren’t fulfilled. All children deserve healthy drinking Water and an education. Period. Especially, the ambassadors of this amazing land that they see as themselves without separation. That’s accurate. We will have nothing to stand upon if we don’t protect the earth. It will go on without us. \n\nI see many things in the comments I’ve seen or experienced, unfortunately. This is a beautiful country for so many reasons. I live in Toronto. I have a lady my neighbour who told my Colombian Jamaican son she hates immigrants and would never hire a black person. In 2023!!! Can you believe it. She is Greek and was never born in Canada and she hates immigrants!! ? the lady in the video has a point.

Lies!! I’m black dark skin and was born in Canada, I lived everywhere from east coast to west coat I personal lived in Edmonton and was perfectly fine! There is gonna be racism everywhere but I love Canada some of my family live in Edmonton and there fine! Hello black women living in Leduc Alberta for over 20 year's . I'm from Toronto born in Jamaica . Now look nowhere is perfect there is racism everywhere, i found more in Toronto then Alberta. In Alberta the most problems i have is with dating but work wise i don't get the racism, its opposite. I get jobs because of my skin. I haven't been called the N word in Alberta to my face anyways and in Toronto too many times to count. I personally love Alberta and will probably retire here. I treat everyone i meet with respect and I've been given the same. I really wish that everyone could just get along and stop with the colors of skin BS and just be kind to each other.

Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

Hold on now I will agree white Canadians are passive aggressive (sneaky) she called it but as a black American who has lived and worked for 28 plus years in Canada (Ontario) Alberta is the Texas of Canada so hill Billys rednecks not the most sophisticated people in the country I’ve never felt discriminated against and have always found great employment here . As a person of Colour in a mostly white country it’s not realistic to not expect some bigoted white peoples it’s just not, their the majority so their always going to be that way. But overall I never feel unsafe here in Ontario very diverse area lots of Muslims, asians, native Americans Africans and tons of Carribeans from all over the West Indies . It’s a problem white people struggle with but compared to my home country I prefer Canada, here you’ve got a chance where back in the states it’s literally dangerous to be too dark of different, sorry for her experience leave Alberta come to Ontario, you’ve got a safe home here.

Yaknow, as a Mexican who's great grandmother came here legally ive always found it odd.. here in America, there isn't allowed to be any places with a specific culture or identity. For example, look at Mexico itself. If you live in Mexico, you are mexican. You'll act mexican regardless. And outside people look at this, and say it's good.. then you get to America, and you have Americans asking foreigners and people attempting to come to THEIR land for better opportunities and all they ask is to follow their customs, cultures, and laws. I've personally watched over the past 20 years all of that get destroyed. From top to bottom the customs, cultures, and laws of this land are being broken to attempt to coddle to those literally fleeing their lands. It drives me insane. My great grandma didn't bust her fucking ass to get here legally, eo escape the horror of her homeland, to watch as it creeps across that border and threatens her family yet again.

McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

Why are they not opening fire? I'm not sorry for your situation as we have problems here too. If you want to act like fools charging the gates to our border, that is an act of war and should be treated as such. One warning shot would have made them stop. If they didn't stop you shoot one person. If that doesn't make them stop, you start taking ppl out. We need to protect our borders, protect them from criminals, drug mules, and the like. That means we need to do a background check before anyone can cross that border. Not letting them in, giving them a cell phone, giving them a place to live, not allowing them to work while they sit there waiting 2 years for a court date. Its beyond ridiculous and that is what the Democrats are doing. If you are cool with that, then you are an issue and should second guess your own citizenship in this country because we the people are always first, no one else. I live here in California, a liberal state as it claimed, but the racial discrimination,terrorism, gang stalking, psychological warfare, harassment, bullying, discriminatory targeting, surveillance assaults ( 24hr ground and aerial tracking both inside my house and everywhere in public), and the high level smear campaigns I have suffered for over 7 years since 2016 till today in the hands of police and their domestic terrorist organizations that operate as security agencies is something unimaginable, alarming and quite destructive to have deal with in one’s life. I hope our people listen to her warning. if only they know what I have suffered with my children having everything ruined in my life for moving into a house in a neighborhood I shouldn’t have moved to as a black person and driving a car they believed I don’t deserve to drive as a black woman, as such they criminalized me, targeting and and terrorizing me ever since everywhere till today even after I have filed complaints several times with videos of the attacks the police and these domestic terrorist groups are carrying out on me to several agencies that deals with racial issues , discrimination, civil rights violations etc including the Governor’s office, FBI, DOJ, etc, and have gone to the police for them to do background checks on me to clear my name thinking they could be mistaking me for someone else and they have confirmed to me several times that I am innocent and clean, but they wouldn’t leave me alone. Instead they have continued in their illegal surveillance and terrorist attacks they are carrying out on me which makes me believe I’m being racially targeted and the ongoing attacks on me are malicious and racially motivated for no other reason than I’m black and African.

Bull$hit. I know a number of my African friends who live in Edmonton and they are all employed of great jobs, and have good lives there- and no matter where you are discrimination is everwhere. Discrimination in Canada (and Edmonton) is not as this SINGLE person says. This is poor reporting just to creat divisiveness. You want to see discrimination? Go to the USA - especially the south - then comeback to Canada and tell me we have “heavy” discrimination.
