Canada’s cost of living is outrageous on account of ‘investment’ usually foreign, which is archaic, as ‘investment’ is NOT a ‘modern’ term, which means surrounded by a hostile force to besiege and blockade it. And yes, harassment in Canada is common it’s vast including ‘nice Canadians’ that’s only appearances and it’s not only on strangers it’s in their own families and businesses at large. There’s a ton of ingrained corruption put it that way that many are oblivious to. You don’t only “have to question ourselves being a visible Muslim” you have to CONSTANTLY question everything around you in Canada, as it’s nothing but manipulation. Your only escape from manipulation is Canada’s nature, which is the only environment in which you actually develop awareness. Canada is a country of slaves it’s nothing but a haven for corruption. You’re better off without it. Girls in India are further ahead than Canada’s boys.

A fair amount I have met have completed their degrees but are staying here in order to obtain Canadian Citizenship and of course our passport. Many of them will then leave here but they will be carrying a passport which is still usually well regarded abroad.\n\nEither that or they stay here and import the rest of their family, where they can continue to live as if they were still in their country of origin, but in better conditions. They do not integrate into Canadian culture. They don't have to, and they are not interested.

I lived in Western Europe, Japan and at the moment, Canada. I lucked out getting a well paying job in Vancouver when I moved back a few years ago and my average tax rate is actually the exact percentage you stated in the video - 28%, which includes income tax, pension and employment insurance. I'm actually doing better in terms of quality of life now but I do miss being able to travel around Europe for cheap. (e.g., quick train ride to Paris for the weekend) Now, I take cheap flights (e.g. Flair Airlines) to Mexico instead.\n\nJust to state some data points: when I was in Europe, I paid a total average of 39% income tax on a lower salary than I have right now in Canada. Things like utilities (e.g., gas/electricity), restaurants, certain grocery items and electronics (e.g., iphone/PS5/computers) were significantly more expensive because European VAT (inclusive) is usually 20%+. \n\nI don't have the exact numbers but on average I believe I was paying 70 - 90€ ($100 - 130 CAD) just for electricity each month for a small flat, but I am now paying $30 - 50 CAD for a decent sized 1 bedroom. I believe my housing gas bill was about the same or possibly a bit more. In addition, automobile gas prices were much higher (about $2€/L on average which is $2.90 CAD/L) and I think they could go even higher right now. \n\nHowever, rent is definitely more expensive in Vancouver, but I believe that is true for many West coast cities in North America. Right now I'm paying $2300 CAD a month for a 1BR, and I split that amount with my partner. In comparison, it would have been about €1300 ($1900 CAD) for something similar in the city where I was living previously. In a more expensive city (e.g. Amsterdam) a 1BR would easily cost €1800+ ($2650 CAD).\n\nFor me, the difficulty of making friends in my late 20's stays about the same. I think it is difficult to make new friends after graduating from school, and you have to put yourself out there by joining groups and events. (e.g. Meetup or volunteering?)

Sir , check out Malaysia, KL is a great country and Muslim friendly of course, but also a tolerant society . Check out the Philippines. I live there part time . On the SW corner of Mindanao (Zamboanga ) great town and 1/2 Muslim) people get along fine there usually. I live up in north Luzon - mostly Christian but Muslims are around too . No hassle and respectful. I don’t know your financial situation, however, in the Philippines, the school system is quite good, and private schools are stunningly excellent. I would definitely check out the Philippines and also Malaysia. Both have a great style of life and it doesn’t cost a fortune to live well. Education is quite good and the medical situation is also quite good. In the Philippines, however you have to select the hospital before you become ill in the Philippines, there is the public hospitals, which is fine for minor, scrapes and cut, but I would recommend a major hospital for anything serious. In Malaysia, the standard of medical care is good throughout the country. You could also consider northern Thailand. Southern Thailand is too much into tourism, but northern Thailand has a good mixture of people and religions. Mainly a Buddhist country, but very tolerant towards Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. Most countries have been shaped by a religious foundation. Muslims don't really fit in Christian countries; Christians are too polite (usually) to say anything, but you are very different. There is nothing wrong with finding like-minded people to move toward your own happiness. Good luck to you!

The homelessness is very simple to explain. They are on welfare, which pays them about 800 dollars a month if they are lucky. There is nothing to rent that leaves enough money to eat. They rent rooms and lose them, due to mismanagement, and expense of eating out, as they don't have kitchens, and then they buy tents. The drugs usually come after this, not before.

I'll agree that Canada is not a great place for religious conservatives. But very conservative religious nations are usually authoritarian. I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

I am a born and proud Roman Catholic and love your videos. In Cape Town South Africa Christians and Muslims live in harmony and in most families there will be one or the other denomination in a family. I grew up in a neighbourhood where the call for prayer from the local Mosque could be heard. It was all part of growing up. Our Church Bells rang as well. Everyone accepted it. Of course there will always be grumpies in some areas, very few I may add who complain but they are shutdown by the rest of the community. We too have Malls with prayer rooms. Our private hospitals have a prayer room for all denominations with a mat for Muslim patients. Yes our country might have a bad reputation for the usual world wide issues but in Cape Town we continue our lives at our own pace. May the God Almighty Bless you on your new adventure.

I have lived in Malaysia (5 yrs), Bahrain (7 yrs), Pakistan (born and raised), and now in Canada (4 yrs). Each have had their own pros and cons. \n\nMalaysia has some of the nicest people in the world. Beautiful country, lots of rain, temperatures usually between 28-30C, all year round. Laid back office culture. Lots of work holidays! In the last one decade Pakistani community has grown steadily esp in Kuala Lumpur. English is widely spiken and understood in major cities.\nAs for the cons, very expensive international schools and daycare centers, that would take a huge chunk out of your income. Pakistani food not that easy or cheap to find, but that may have changed since we left. Relatively high cost of living, if you need to live near city centers.\n\nBahrain sees both winter and summer. Not much of other 2 seasons. A large Pakistani, Indian community, so much so that I rarely ever used English to communicate with cab drivers or shop seles reps!. Regular Arabs struggle a bit with English though. Pakistani/ Indian food very easily available n affordable. Again a laid back work culture. Maids and domestic help easily available. \nAs to the cons, you may encounter racism sometimes. Arabs are generally nice ppl but u may sometimes find them condescending in their dealings with you. Probably bc most of Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshi and Nepalis form the labour force (and we all know how worker strata is treated in the Middle East). International schools are again quite expensive (lesser than Malaysia though).

The grass is not always greener, on the other side of the fence, and when it is that usually means there's a septic tank over there. Just keep in mind you don't like where you are. But that doesn't mean you will like where you land.

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

When I first came to Canada, I was shocked to learn most college graduates' ideal was to work for the government. In the US, the best students usually go into the private sector. Another point, an educated, experienced economist from Latin America immigrated to Canada but could only work as a language teacher to make ends meet. I met him at an evening class in Vancouver. To be honest, I don't think the decision makers care that much about where this country goes.

After a few minutes pass and if I see a security guard casually following me, I walk right up and say...'Look! if you're going to follow me, then make your self useful and carry my basket for me.' No offence to new immigrants but if you came here past 2018 you should not be allowed to buy a house until house prices get back to sane levels. I was born in raised in a small town surrounded by farmland in Ontario and the average cost of a home is now 700k. 20 years ago it was 150k. No one I grew up with can afford a home, I'm sorry but Canadians first. Other countries seem to care way more about their own people waaaay more than here. I feel like Canadians are constantly the ones who just have to suck it up. Its absolutely nonsense. Either something has to happen or I, and many Canadians in the same position will leave. Canada sucks at the moment, do not come here! Almost everyone I talk to who is born here agrees, lib, con, ndp, doesn't matter what political party they usually vote for, they want immigration to stop, and homes to be built. We're at the breaking point.

NO, the cost of living in Canada has not *always* been high. For someone as young as this woman that may be true, since people usually say *always* to refer to their own lifespan. When I went to Canada (Toronto) in 1967, it was quite easy to find a one-bedroom apartment for $100-130 . Nothing luxurious of course, but acceptable. Public transport cost 25 cents (!), 5 tickets for $1.00. Working-class salaries were in the range of $100-150 per week. The value of the Canadian dollar was 7% less than that of the US dollar. My wife and I were actors who worked in a children's theatre for $45/week. Slim pickings, but with our approx. $370/month we got along all right, went to the movies, bought records and books,, ate in restaurants from time to time, bought food cheap in the Kensingto Market and got a complete tax refund at the end of the year. There was an air of general prosperity Things have changed drastically over the years, obviously.

Visa officers have complete autonomous authority to approve / reject applications \n\n2. Filming in any Consulate without prior permission is a legal offense with harsh penalties. I am pretty sure here no consent was taken because it's usually never granted anywhere. \n\n3. Uploading this video serves as a proof for crime against the Consulate of India. \n\n4. Repeating again Consulate officer has to be treated with utmost respect irrespective of your application outcome. Many recent immigrants I have known have left Canada because the cost of living is too high. From my experience they work very hard, usually working 60+ hours a week. After some time they crunch the numbers and realize no matter how hard they try they will not get anywhere so they leave. For those born in Canada we find ourselves being chased out of our hometowns because it is too expensive to live there. For myself it was either stay in Vancouver, surrendering more than half of your income to rent or move out of the city to buy an apartment. In the major cities there is a mass exodus of young people and the strategy has been to replace that exodus with immigration. The problem is that is not sustainable as now new immigrants, seeking a better life are not finding it in major Canadian cities. For those who already own property in the lower mainland the selfish mentality is to do whatever you can to deny construction, thus maintaining the scarcity and value of what little land/housing there is in desirable areas. Zoning laws are beginning to change but progress is slow and municipalities have failed to keep up with infrastructure so the growing pains is going to be immense. It's beautiful here now doubt but if I had no ties and a solid financial footing I would have left long ago. Generations ago you could show up to Canada with no money and thrive if you were willing to work hard. Now hard work won't get you anything.

The UK here is getting 700,000 pa arriving including 35,000 pa by small boats without visa etc. But the cost of rents/mortgages are crazy and way higher than Canada in equivalent places and there is not the option usually of driving in from a cheap place far out of big cities with big basements and out buildings. Also train and bus fares and household energy costs are all 3 times that on Continental EU.
