Why aren’t they flying to Canada…..and staying there? Cuz USA is the best country ON EARTH, or they’d be going elsewhere.

There use to be a border patrol show for the Canadian border. I always hated that show because how difficult it was to even enter the country to visit. Very very strick and the agents did their jobs well. What happened to those standards. The illegals wouldn’t be crossing the border if Canada kept those strick standards. I learned why the agents were so strick.

It's absolutely clear by these northern crossings that none of these people are asylum seekers. They can afford to fly to Canada from other countries? Why don't they seek asylum there then? Nope. They're crossing to scam American taxpayers. And god knows what else.

If we stopped these people at the border and made them stay in the country they entered, Canada, and Mexico. How long do you think they would tolerate this before they stopped it. The cost to house, feed, medical, clothe, document, and get jobs for would mess up their economy. How can these people legitimately claim asylum when they are coming from CANADA . . . a “safe” country. Asylum seekers are required to STAY in the first safe country they come to.

What a crock of crap! The USA has the problem of weak borders, so they need to step up their border patrol. Canada is securing their borders because of the frequent and much more abundant cases of drugs and guns being smuggled into Canada! The stepped up Canadian border enforcement was already well underway months before Trump made his tariff threats. \nThink about it, the 43lbs of fentanyl that was smuggled in from Canada, at the US border, is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the flow of it that comes in through the ports. Also think about when you cross a border, it’s the country you are crossing into that checks you out. Classic case of Trump blaming others for US failure.

These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. Even they were allow why would u when ur parents give u their debit card ~ visa card with allowance of 2- 3k to spend .\n\nInwould say 25% of these rich students go home within a year as they get home sick.\n\nToday standards\n\n- not many come as high school students as it's alot harder and still up hold strict standards as their still a minor. \n\n- college is easier route\nOnly have to prove u can afford the 1st. All those lamenting on the state of Canada and planing to pack their bags and going off to another country, to another continent... Do not forget that you are able to do that largely due to the fact that you are a Canadian citizen, holding a Canadian passport. How many people are willing to give up their passports to live in some Asian country for example, in the Middle East for example. Not many people for sure. Having your cake and eating it too, doesn't always work out the way one images it to be.

I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

You could offer we Canadians all the money in the world, we would still be living in Canada, your gun toting citizens, your police forces that for at least 40 years have been stopping Canadians on your highways and taking money for trumped up charges, your new president and his cronies and your wonderful health care. The absurdity of Trumps balanced trade argument is that the USA is a wealthy country and he is projecting that wealth upon his trading partners when in reality the trading partners are not as affluent as Americans. They simply cannot afford to buy as many goods as the USA. To equalize trade requires more affluence in these trade partner countries, instead of crippling them with additional costs. Additionally Trump does not concede the difference between buying raw materials vs finished goods. When USA buys endless oil from Canada, and Canada does not buy enough cars from USA, you will have absolutely an unavoidable trade imbalance. Average GDP per Canadian is half the GPD of USA per person.

Its corporate greed which has trickled down into all areas of life. Rents, property values etc etc. No government can fix it in a democracy because capitalism gives greed the platform. Record profits during covid says it all. Recessions give a partial temporary reboot and depressions are devastating and take a long time to recoup from. I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

I am living in USA and I totally agree with you. Though I am not from India . But I have seen many of my Indian friends struggling in the USA and Canada. My advice to all of the Subcontinent ,stay in your country .if you have money, invest in your own country rather than to put yourself in jeopardy.

All these countries like Canada, US are relying on Indians, Chinese and other foreigners to run their tech economy. Indians are taking huge loans (like 40L) to sign up to their universities. Their locals are not signing up for it. They are incompetent. Foreign students are a major source for their universities. More than 95% are foreigners. If not for foreigners, then these programs will shut down. And then they poach these foreign students to work in their tech sector. Without Indians & other foreigners their tech economy will collapse. They know this. And they will also pretend that immigrants are the problem and $h1t on us. fkers. At this point - Feb 2025- a lot of condos have been built in Toronto and guess what, nobody is buying!! The economy dipped with the pandemic as it happened in many other countries! When I immigrated to Canada - and I had nothing then, it was impossible to even think of buying a house, under a Conservative government. About 10 years later I was able to purchase my first home and am doing well, thank you. So are the builders in this beautiful province, close friends with the premier. I wonder if this video is independently produced - I doubt it! There are plenty of people happily living in Canada!
