Imagine if the Border Bill had been passed in 2024 and by now we could have had this all under organized control without all of this spending so much money, time and effort in rounding people up and deporting them. Add to all of that the cost of tariffs that Trump is putting on Columbia and I expect others in the coming weeks and months. What a waste. Trump also not getting this whole thing organized which is the major direction we have to go in the final analysis.

One thing to note is if there are high tarrifs on one country..as a business person I would choose the second lowest country to get the same product(if the product is rare and unique to that country obviously gov will exclude that from tarrifs)...why would I pay 25% extra...\n\nSince US has money many countries are willing to do business...So it's finally a loss to Colombia or any other country.

Finally after four years of the Biden disaster we can finally return to normalcy in our immigration policies thanks to President Trump

I earned my permanent resident status back in 2001 and joined US ARMY during war in terror and served for 8 years. While serving, I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in the middle of hot zones, dodging grim reaper's radar for many, many times. When I finally earned my US citizenship through military, I seamlessly transitioned into law enforcement career in New York for past 10 years, which I encountered with many illegal criminals with rap sheets- which some makes you think why they are still wondering in the street instead of locked up in the jail, having their freedom taken away. What is funny is that many of these illegal criminals have such an entitled mindset that they are deserve to be here in US without permit do whatever they want and enjoying these unbelievable benefits that these sanctuary city/state provides that we, us citizens don't even get- and we are paying for it with our hard earned money. I think I earned my citizenship with blood and sweat, same goes to many immigrant hopefuls that came to U.S with true American dream. It is time to take back our country and I 100% support with Trump's decision on this.

The media can spin this however they wish, but the essential truth is that finally we are taking steps to regain control over two areas that have been completely mis-managed over the past number of years. \n\nA cutback in the number of refugees and immigrants? That signifies that once again Canada has borders. A country is defined by its borders. Trudeau took ours down causing an immigration and refugee free for all. Now he is being forced to correct that.\n\nA reduction in the number of federal public servants? The government has used federal public service hiring to make its jobs numbers look better. These jobs are mostly high paying and effectively unproductive in that they do not generate anything to improve the economy. Rather than contributing to the economy, they draw on it. That has been a drag Canada cannot afford.\n\nIt is about time changes like these are made on a large scale.

cry me a river some people who immigrate here legally had to wait for many years before they finally got citizenship. What makes you entitled to our resources and our land? we are not a nation of immigrants we are a nation of colonists. The left is using these illegals to get votes out of them. First you get approval and then travel. You can’t just go to the border and wait, and when declined be frustrated. When I moved here in 2004, I had 2 years before process was finalized and approved. And only then I was able to come to the country through a legal process. It has to be done right.
