Go see how these students and Indian tourist behave ,It’s disgusting and appalling . No manners ,they are rude .do not follow , local laws and regulations. Let’s not even mention lack of hygiene. \nThis is why many countries like Australia,UK ,Europe Canada are clamping down on Desi indians..and the Indian immigrants who are born or living in these countries for decades are facing racism .

I think the real issue here is conflict of cultural values and religion,rather than race....???

Madame you didn't tell the whole story. Unemployment in India is very high and youth who travel to US and the UK do not return back to India. Illegal immigration is the new issue found with travelling abroad. ????

Their is limit of issuing visa they allote Cota yearly they can not allow everyone according the India population ratio is very high that's why they can't issue visa all of them and lot of other problems to issue visa for Indian they never comply with the rules in their country world observe everything

If Illegal Bangladeshi getting indian passport our position will be 100 in global ranking. That's the issues and root cause.

Lots of phone scammers have already got the Green card in the USA. Scammers were given student visa by carriers and they work as couriers. Stealing from poor people.\nIn UK ALL of scam calls I am getting are from Kolkata. They steal poor pensioners without any heart. Heartless and cruel. Indian students miss behave, laugh and talk louder on the high streets, drop waste on the street. Truthfulness, kind heartless should be part of education system. Also there's no place for bribe in these countries. In India rich parents show their kids how to get around by bribery.\n\nEducated and intelligent Indian scammers are a world known issue.

Look the answer is simple, someone from Burkina Faso will not compete with an average European for his/her job. Indians will for sure. Instead of lobbying for better Visa equity, why not strive to make India more livable? We need to address that issue, that is the elephant in the room.

They said that India needs to be protected from Chinese people from knowing how India is really like. It's clearly differentiation west do with Indian passport. I faced many issues with EU visas processing, specially for FR and they never provide clear answer but just sound like reason for eating visa fees.

I have been able to visit Vietnam, Nigeria(office work) & Bali . Not much compared to others I agree. But the behaviour of Indian Language speaking Tourist in these countries is really really horrible. No matter how much these sold out News Anchor or our leader peddle false narrative that Indians are respected our passport etc etc. Indians are least preferred cause of the attitude issue. Even Nigeria whom we mock cause of look and color are more decent than us. Indian deserve this.

And total number of ranks are around 100, because there are 2-3 countries on single spot..slipping 5 rank mean slipping below 10-15 countries.. \nVisa on Arrival does not only depend on passport ranking, it depends on the host countries as well, e.g Kenya has made visa-free(Visa on Arrival) free for everyone accross the world. Most of of the touris friendly countries are issuing free Visa-on-Arrival just to boom their tourism sector...On the contrary, now we don't get any Visa-on-Arrival for any European country, earlier we had access of Visa-on-Arrival for Serbia. \nSituation is getting worse day-by-day, many countries are not accepting INR at the Airport(though you can exchange at their local market, but conversion rate is very poor)

We cant keep helping , At a certain point it has to slow , due to the ignorance of Trudeau he's created a disaster. At a certain point, the Waring nations have to no longer realize we wont take in the low aspects of their society. Those countries have to fix there issues and we cant take in their problems .

Lol, the reason we have so many rejection is because everyone wants to go abroad and settle there even illegally. Other nations have not failed at infra as much as we have. Our greed and shallow thinking is why we are in this mess. If allowed, over 100 million would fly out in matter of months but those countries can't support such migration. Fifth largest economy still struggles to both build foothpaths and keep them from encroachment. First fix the issues within.

Yeah I'm Canadian with a lot of health issues yeah you don't have to pay but sometimes the wait can be long like 21 hours at the emergency + the time to see the er doc and if you need tests that would make it longer. Just recently my waiting time was 16 hours. I live in Ontario and we get a lot of Quebec people because their waiting time can be way much longer.

These requirements by other countries are absolutely justified. They want you should come as visitors, have enough funds to cover your expenses and on due date go back to your country. \nNothing wrong in it.\nIndia should follow such standards before issuing visas.

Good it is rejected. It is absolute nonsense to make an issue of it.

The headline is misleading - suggests India is rejecting visa applications. Anyway, reality is India, and the Modi government’s priority, is to ensure Indian intake into foreign countries increases substantially. This is due to the lack of jobs and resources locally. The bigger issue is fraudulent applications. The Australian government blacklisted student applicants from Punjab, Gujarat, Bihar and 3 other states for high proportion of fraudulent applications. Sadly, after Narendra Modi visited Sydney when a Quad meeting was called off but Modi still travelled, Gujarat was removed from the blacklisted states. One fraud leading to another fraud. That is the core DNA of the country and the genuine applicants too suffer.

Ms.Sharma you have glossed over issue of illegal migrants creating challenges for popular western countries! We Indians can not demand visa free or easy visa travel just based on economic rise! There is much more to it...try to put out a well researched paper! Sensationalism does not serve the cause of our countrymen!

You need to explore the fraudulent ones too and not just blame other country's visa process which is the same for people from non-indian origins. The actual issue is much more complex. More foreign workers can destabilize and harm their own people's opportunities as well. May be we should explore why indians are trying to leave india so badly and address those problems first.

India should stop e-visas for govt employees of countries like the US. Any US citizen who or whose immediate family member is a US govt employee should be asked to queue up at an Indian consulate and given an appointment after 1 year. They should be asked to submit various sorts of documents, submit their passport, wait for 45 days after which depending on the mood of the officer at the consulate, a sticker visa could be issued. This policy should be for OCIs who take up govt job as well.\n\nPS: Egypt had removed Canada from their visa on arrival list after canada began arbitrarily rejecting egyptian visa applications. This has been done in the past

- Majority of Indians travelling overseas have several issues mainly: civic ethics, behaviour, stealing, ego, no empathy, rude, overstay on tourist visas, and claiming refugee in US, UAE, AUS, NZ and Canada. So of course rejection rate is high.

I am an Indian living in New Zealand, actually one of the biggest reason is the Visa scams Indians do especially from few states which has caused this issue. Also, the kind of people coming into the country, their no sense of comprehension towards the Local laws, culture and traditions.

Issue raised by legit visa applicants. Unfortunately actions of many of their fellow countrymen such misused of visa have make a dent on them.

Palki you are not looking at the really core issue instead you are blaming other countries or governments. Don't be biased because of Indians. Look at why they are being rejected. Lot of Indians do not leave even the visa expires and illegal entry. Every country has a right to protect their country and people from outsiders.\n\nMost of the time Palki views are very biased. Please see Fareed Zakaria show once. He always gives unbiased opinion for an issue/problem/circumstances unlike you.

Its fine…every country has right to implement visa policy as per their need…we still have long way to curb illegal immigration both in and out of India…\nPassport ranking , just like all other so called Indexes are BS… they are issued by deep state backed institutions

There are tons of visas being approved everyday, for Indians, for multiple countries. There are a lot of reasons why a visa is rejected, incomplete application, lack of suff funds, unable to explain the reasons for travel with adequate paperwork , and lot of other issues that every consulate has to deal with across the world. If the rejection rate is over 70%, that would be a concern and best not to travel to that place anyways.

If the government is worthless and concentrating on digging for buried stones instead of focusing on real issues then one day they will fell into the same holes.

Faced same issue. Got rejected then got approved. Yes many Indians do cause a ruckus and follow questionable methods to enter and stay. So people like us always loose visa fees

No one is targeting anyone without reason. While there are many reasons for visa refusals, let's not ignore two major issues you are not mentioning: document forgery and overstaying visas. Unfortunately, these problems are common among citizens from your country.

she avoided mentioning the real reason.. (many visa seeking Indians are actually not out there to spend but running away to those nations from India, and the visa issuing countries have realised it). lots of illegal Indians currently living and working in all the mentioned countries are the main reason for the downgrade in the visa ranking.

It is the prerogative of a sovereign country whether to issue a visa or not lot of people come to US and Western countries and over stay their visa and become illegal immigrants, that is why these countries are suspicious and concerned.
