As an American, we don’t want this either. I don’t understand what and why to be honest. All I know was in November 2024 I woke up to the worst feeling I have ever had. Canada has turned a deaf ear when the U.S. requested a fair trading partner and less deficits in the past decades. Trump was obligated to put a tariff on Canadian goods entering the U.S. since Canada did not resolve the problem.
