My family was a middle-class Turkish, they bought a house, a nice car and i cant even afford to live in Istanbul. Average rent is 2/3 of my salary.. All because of migration. One in-service transition surgery is 150k. The monthly wage of a fresh boot marine earns is just under 1.8k a month. A Navy commander ears 6.75k per month just to put that into prespective. Without taking the 36 months of follow up treatment into account in the cost you could have 2 Navy Commanders educated and put into service for the same money as just one transition surgery. Or have a squad of Marines paid for a whole year.
